I have taken it upon myself as a GMB supporter to win u back by replying what u stated above:

1. It is not a matter of where our problems started from, but who or where it will end. You can blame a person or people for causing a problem(if they really caused it) but you can't turn away from them when they exhibit the best possible solution to that problem, then we don't move on.

2. As nigerians(assuming educated) we should be able to look past ethnicity and tribalism, our education taught us that leadership skills is no respecter of north or south. That's just generalisation and stereotyping which is extremely dangerous.

3. Deep down your heart do you really think tinubu and the rest would be able to control and manipulate GMB, if he wins? GMB is just riding the dirtiest and only available train to heaven. If obasanjo couldn't control a clueless president like GEJ, how much more, GMB, a strong-hearted, strict, leader. They are in for a big surprise if they think he will be their puppet.

4. When people say this, I count this an advantage, only an old man would bleed and yearn for a better nigeria for his children, he would not have time to be embezzling funds which he might not live to enjoy, he is more sympathetic and he realises materalism is not the way to go, he wouldn't keep it for his children too because he's teaching them better in an islamic light. Not to talk of his vast wealth of experience in leadership and decision-making.

Some people say, " if he really loves nigeria, he will let another person rule", well I can feel his pain and desperation to change this country, it is really a case of "if you want something done, you do it yourself".
I hope I can use this as a basis to convert you and other pdp supporters to the side of change we really need

I was actually STILL contemplating about posting a new topic on this exact idea( the more informed know that GMB is a better alternative than the ruling party, that's why he wins all the online polls) but I guess you beat me to it( don't know if I ever was going to though)

I couldn't have said it better myself, everyone I have heated political discussions with seem to just cling on one thing:

xcelsia: Hi there, I must say you got me laughing with your post, thanks I love to laugh. Okay down to the issue, you're perfectly fine, some people do different things to help keep them calm and distracted.
Since you touch different objects in between biting sessions and you're not sure of how clean your nails are, I'll advice you to carry a pocket size hand sanitizer for the occasional clean whenever you are able to remember to use it.
If you really wish to get rid of this habit you have to find motivation or switch to another habit if you are the type that needs the occasional calm/distraction. I know some people that constantly crack their finger knuckles, roll a finger in their hair, blink excessively etc. Different strokes for different folks, don't worry about what the society thinks or expects of you just be yourself, good luck

Thanks... But dos other habits aren't as embarrassing as fingernail biting, or in my case chewing/chopping.. .. Sometimes I get caught off guard(with a finger in my mouth) by a pretty girl... But as a sharp guy, I switch from fingernail biting to beard stroking...

floragregs: I stopped chewing mine last year when I went to NYSC camp and saw how irritating the place was during rainy season! Whenever I had the urge to chew I would remember I was in a messy place. I just stopped till now. I get tempted after washing clothes because they look irresistible but I have stopped for good!

I tried stopping one time cause my then girlfriend said I shud stop if I truly love her... I tried using our love as motivation... It worked at first but I chewed that shit like a hungry man after we broke up..

Hello fellow NLers.. . I have been biting my nails for as long as I can remember..... I am now 20, tried stopping at some points in my life but they later appear so juicy, sometimes they appear in my mouth even without my consent... My nails look so ugly n shapeless. My girlfriend have tried to get me to stop it, but I can't help it

This is really a bad habit that I just seem to get rid of. Please help with realistic solutions to help me and others with the same habit on this forum.

balash: Always had Zeal for driving whenever I take public trans I always sit at the front with driver's just to know wasap! At 17 my 1st born (a guy) took me and my elder brother to learn with a 504 and he only told me once,do this and that and kwa! I was already driving while my other brother was stil panicking.
So started driving neighbour's car and friends car because Dad will never allow me touch his car,the first time I drove interstate lagos to ogbomosho with a family friend because Dad does not trust my driving yet he went to and fro ogbomosho with us that day and sat by my side always signaling with his hand for me to slow down lol.
Some year's back after sch I drove a friend to Abuja from lagos and back and when Dad heard he only called me aside and said whenever I want to drive long distance I should always pray b4 moving,I only smiled lol...have had some very stupid driving encouter like when I went to abuja like 3 yrs back and I was bored at home doing nothing walking along a street a saw a post asking for a truck (mack) driver who can drive a truck carrying container from abuja to nassarawa and I applied without knowing how to drive a truck,I just called my brother and he told me to pump the throttle well b4 moving and that was it I did the job for 1month took my salary and ran away b4 someone who know me see me lmao,then that same time on my way back to lagos took Ekene dili chukwu bus and it got faulty after lugbe express and we waited for them to bring another bus they never did and we started taking nameless luxirious who ply lagos route late that night and I took a luxirious bus can't remember the name it was filled no more space but was in the driver's side on one small stool I guess they dnt want to loose my 3k too and I noticed the driver was taking a very big bottle of chelsea gin whilst driving with his motorboy too and everytime he try pass to me I say I dnt want cox I dnt take alcohol when we got close to lokoja the driver asked me do u know how to drive? I said yes and he said he can't see anything anymore I should come take the wheel and he only parked and I took the wheel only because I have a truck driving experience lol,and lo and behold I drove it to lagos! It was at ojota when someone shouted he wanted to drop and saw the driver and motorboy drunk and sleeping and he shouted that passenger's should come see who drove them to lagos and they started howling insults on the driver when they knew they were drunk and they started thanking me and giving me money hehe,I guess I made extra 20k that day with my 3k I was supposed to pay.... One Lovely experience I can never forget now if there's a road to heaven kwanu just get me a good car...

prophetone: That's the fun part. You get to go to places with the car that you wouldn't go with parental consent. You also learn at your own pace and the envy from your non-driving friends at that age (not to mention girls) is simply epic. Girls at any age are suckers for cars, quote me.
