HealthRe: How To Deal And Overcome Depression Without Drugs by Bayoibee: 8:53pm On Feb 10, 2019
Thank you for this...God bless you
Mauricemoh:
Although there are several antidepressant medication available, dealing with depression without drugs is very much possible. Here are some suggestions on dealing with depression without medications.

Depression is a mental state in which a person has pessimistic thoughts or a continual feeling of sadness. It is often characterized by lack of activity which consequently affects the person's body and mind.  Depression can be caused due to different reasons; similarly, the symptoms of depression can differ from person to person.
Depression results in bring about a change in a person's behaviour, thinking, as well as physical well being.  There are several stages of depression, like major depression, dysthymia, or simply a depressed mood. Major depression can result in critical or life threatening symptoms like suicidal thoughts, destructive behaviour, and alcohol or drug abuse.  Therefore, it is necessary to treat depression symptoms before they aggravate out of control.

Drugs and Depression:

One may come across various depression medications (antidepressant) to overcome depression. One of the major side effects of antidpressants is that people may become addicted to it and even develop tolerance for other side effects of antidepressant drugs. Include insomnia, nausea, headaches, weight loss/gain, sexual problems like impotence, etc.   As there are side effect related to antidepressant drug, people look for different and natural ways of dealing with depression without drugs.
Dealing with Depression without drugs.
Before find any treatment to cope up with depression, one needs to understand the root cause of it.  One should remember that realizing and accepting the situation is very important in treating depressions in order to prevent a relapse.  The following are some ideas.
Change Negative Thinking:
Avoiding negative thoughts is the most important thing to do when dealing with depression.
Conversing with people or spending time with friends can help greatly in preventing pessimism.  Talking about your problems to someone will also help you feel better.  You can even watch a comedy film, or do something that makes you happy or makes you laugh.  This will help you relax and avoid negative thoughts.
Keep Yourself Busy:
Remember an idle mind is person's worst enemy when he is feeling depressed.  If he has nothing to do, negative or suicidal thoughts begin to cloud the mind. Hence, it is extremely necessary to keep yourself occupied with something. You can do anything that you like or even pursue a hobby.  If you don't have anything else to do , you need to force yourself to do something like cleaning the house, doing the dishes etc, to keep yourself and your mind occupied for a long time.
Lower Stress:
One of the commonest symptoms of depression is sleep disorder, i.e. a person may sleep too much or too little which can result in stress.  There are several effective techniques of reducing stress like meditation and yoga.  Meditation helps to calm your body and mind.  You can even try simple exercises, swimming, walking, or even a cycle ride to lower stress. One may also be aware of the fact that  massage is also one of the most efficient relaxation techniques
Elevate Confidence: People often experience the feeling of uselessness or helplessness when they are depressed.  This result in lowering of self worthiness and self confidence.  You can make a diary and write down all your achievements, however simple they may be. You can even try and help someone everyday and note it down in your diary.  Similarly, try to get involve in some social activities which will help in boosting your morale and confidence.

Diet:  Diet definitely plays an important role in maintaining our physical and mental well being. You should have a nutritious and balanced diet which will help in making you feel better. You can create a healthy menu for a week and shop accordingly. It is also advisable to stop any weight loss or other  diets as they can have an ill effect on your health.  Similarly, drinking should also be controlled. for more details on how to live a healthy and happier life log on to:http://richhealthylife..com Please click on those adverts on my site and remain blessed
TravelRe: Abuja Or Lagos: Which Is More Conducive For Living And Business? by Bayoibee: 5:41pm On Feb 09, 2019
Have you found the roommate yet because I’m about to move to Abuja from Lagos, I just got a job offer and I totally agree with you lacks is stressful, I got the same job offer in both cities but I opted for abj instead, I wanna see how life is over there and hopefully it’s not as stressful as Lagos because I’m tired of Lagos
domainsales18:
Hey Op,

Your question is quite interesting for the newbies...I was born and bred in Lagos...Presently, I have been residing in Abuja since 2012...Let compare and contrast both cities for more illumination.

1. Transportation
Lagos transportation system is quite hectic...You need to be strong to board a commercial vehicle in Lagos...There's a lot of pushing, shoving and insults...On several occasions, phones and bags are stolen...Lagos traffic is like another issue entirely...You can be in a traffic for like 2hours without any of the vehicles moving...I mean every vehicles will be in a gridlock...For someone getting to his/her destinations takes a lot of hours coupled with the stress of sitting uncomfortably in one position...Getting home, one is tired and worn out...Eventually, the lifespan of a Lagosian is usually divided by a quarter.
Abuja is not like that...The traffic is very smooth and you will get to your office within 45minutes long...In the case, there's traffic, the vehicles usually move and clears up within few minutes compared to Lagos...Lastly on this, Abuja roads are way sleeky and motorable, even during rainy season.

2. Accommodation
Lagos accommodation is nothing to write home about, as majority of the houses are in a state of moribund and dilapidation...The rent paid in Lagos is up the mountains for the high brow areas in Lagos, unless one want to go to a slum area to rent an eyesore of a structure deprived of the needed facilities...In Abuja here, you will see affordable houses like one-bedroom flat with facilities of N150,000 but not exceeding N250,000 in good areas...A nice one-bedroom of this standard in Lagos goes for more than N400,000...You can agree with me here that Abuja homes are very affordable.

3. Electricity
In Abuja, the area I stay always have constant, I mean constant (20-24hours of light)...You can't compare that with Lagos...When I was in Lagos, the electricity supply is way below expectations...The mosquitoes always had field days with us then because of no light for fans to blow them off.

4. Air
As a result of the constant supply of light in Abuja and its environs, there are fewer generators that would have been polluting the air with the dangerous carbon monoxide which would have impaired the health of the inhabitants and animals here...That's why people here always have higher lifespans, as they enjoy the undiluted air, free from nature...Less people go to the hospitals here.
You can hardly find people with asthma and other lung diseases...Lagos is so choked up that breathing is quite a laborious activity...Did I forget to tell you folks that, the waste management system here works 100%...You hardly find dumpsites and garbage piled up here...Lagos is an eyesore filled with dumpsites and littered with wastes everywhere.

5. Business
I must confess that Lagos is way up the league in this area, as there are many opportunities abounding in Lagos...What's the essence of business? Is it not to make money, send your children to school, pay bills, buy a car and build a house?Sure, you can make money anywhere if you have the right information and materials at your disposal...Some people are making millions of naira at the comfort of their homes without the 9-5pm type of jobs...Thousands of people are making it more than those in Lagos...Business in Lagos is over hyped...You can virtually make your money anywhere.

6. Crime Rate
The crime rate in Lagos is growing at a geometric progression because of the population over there...In Lagos, the rate of cultism, kidnapping, suicide, prostitution, armed robbery, burgling, pick pocketing, yahoo, yahoo plus and ritualism has skyrocketed...Lives are not really safe in Lagos...You can't walk easy on the roads because you might be attacked by all these area boys (alayes) and the rest...This is not so in Abuja...Here, we sleep with our two eyes closed...You can carry your costly phones and laptops on the streets without any form of molestation...Nobody is ready to snatch your IPhone from you because everybody is a big boy here...You can stay outside and come back late without any harassment...Life is really great here in Abuja.

Abuja is the small London of Nigeria.
That's my two cents.

I still need a roommate.

Come to think of it, this buhari made our problems in this country worsen, it was this buhari era that yahoo boys became so loud because of the rise in dollar, pounds & euros. police brutality everywhere, the country is lawless than it has ever been, now anyone can do anything and get away with it because even the useless walking dead president isn’t aware of anything that’s going on in the country, pant stealers everywhere, kidnappers, more jungle justice everywhere, sars and now efcc lawless act with warrant...why haven’t efcc gone after the likes of rahman jago, aremo Gucci and other loud fraudsters, na because they’ve aligned themselves with celebrities so they’re safe...mehn Bleep this country joor, Atiku won’t make much difference other than spending the next four years fixing the mess this idiot already did which brings us back to the same position we were when Jonathan left, complete waste of 8 years lol
PoliticsRe: #whatif: PDP And APC Loss 2019 Presidential Election? by Bayoibee: 8:32am On Jan 23, 2019
The northerners will always keep drawing us back, they’ve been the major problem of this country even during elections because they’re vulnerable, anyone there leaders ask them to vote for that’s who they’ll vote for and it’s either apc or pdp..besides what this new parties like sowore’s party and the rest need to do is to join forces because honestly they can’t take either apc or pdp down single handedly, even apc needed to join forces with other parties before they could take pdp down..that’s all i can say

HealthRe: What Is The Remedy For Social Anxiety? by Bayoibee: 9:46pm On Nov 28, 2018
Ok first of all it seems more like GAD to me which could also be as a result of natural shyness,I'm also like you and I'm still in my transition process to become a changed man. There are a lot reasons you feel this way, either you always believe that everyone is staring at you all the time so you feel pretty much insecure and always afraid to screw up in front of others, it could be your environment, the kind people around you,the way you were brought up,are you the type that's always locked up indoors all day while growing up and not given any responsibilities that'll make you active outdoors and lots more which I can't talk about here, trying to make it short as possible.
Ok so here are some my tips that'll help;
1.)Be determined to change and build your self confidence.
2.)Change your environment, start over in a new place where no one knows you, it'll make it alot easier for you to change that way.
3.) Smile more often so it'll send a strong message to others that you're a nice person and available to talk, talking with more people takes your mind off the problem, trust me it builds more self confidence.
4.) Join a church group
5.) Never stay indoors more than an hour at evenings, stay outside, with neighbors or stroll around your hood while smiling (not like psycho o). it might not be easy at first but it'll pay off
6.) Always Make time to call ur friends even the ones that don't call you sef
7.) Pray and read books
8.) Avoid masturbation, that shit can literally drain the juice out of your brains and make you depressed, leading to more complications
9.) Never say no to any offer for social gathering like parties, wedding ceremonies and stuffs like that.
10.) Don't avoid eye contact, try not to count your steps while walking on the street, raise your head high, put your chest out forward and avoid round shoulders by bending your back due to the fact that you're always staring downwards to avoid eye contact. Still have a lot more to share in case you need more help

CrimeRe: Burial Of Student Beaten To Death by SARS For Buying Stolen Phone by Bayoibee: 9:15am On Jul 08, 2018
That's the problem with this country we keep shouting shithole country, buhari is useless, all our politicians are recycling into power but the so called politician just keep laughing because they know when it comes to the election, just a bag of rice n oil or #10,000 will buy your vote,I was in ado ekiti last week and I over heard a lot of the youths there already saying they don't care who they vote for as long as they give them 5k or 10k they'll sell their vote, they were local uneducated ones mostly around 19-24 years of age, that's why these politicians keep mocking sowore even though he's an avenue for change and a threat to them by saying what's he's gonna do when he enters power,he doesn't have the money to support him and I just wish the majority of the youth in this country were smart to forget about temporary pleasure that won't last till the following day but because of their ignorance and following of the masses claiming their smart and support someone young and vibrant, some one who values life and justice, let me tell you all something Sars have not started yet o,wait till buhari enters for the second time, all the leaders in his cabinet are all unqualified most especially the IGP,even the minister of finance forged her nysc certificate and he kept quiet,he's gonna give these hausa uneducated youths power trust me,that's why he's not taking strong actions against them now because he needs their vote for the coming election.i know we the youths of the south west n east are definitely smarter than the north and if we join hands together we will over power their population and kick these corrupt politicians that don't value the lives of it's citizens out.Sowore for president.
