Sent mail to Immigration Minister- May 25, 2021 after an MP advised.
Refused- June 3, 2021(one reason, personal asset and financial status).

I remembered I just finished a three days fasting from our regular morning prayers,Next Level Prayers. Imagine a rejection mail after praying and fasting. I was devastated.‍♀️

Received my gcms note- June 17, 2021 stating the refusal reason which was primarily noted lump sum without explanation to the source of funds. It took me 3 to 4 months to re-apply because I was willing to put in all my best.

Second Application

Medical updated- October 13, 2021
Eligibility started- January 4, 2021
Passport Request- February 14, 2022

I also got a mail also from Abuja because I finished them with mails last week.

What I did differently
-I changed from a two year program to one year program, same course but different school. Explained why I changed from two years to one year because I don’t want to be away from my kids for so long.
-I changed sponsor from self-sponsor to spouse-sponsor.
-Paid first semester school fee.
-Added more personal asset for myself and my spouse both as couple and as individual.
-Re-wrote my LOE to address all the concerns noted in my gcms note.
-Added few online courses certificate that aligned with the intended program.
-I asked a lot of questions when in doubt.
-I sent my documents to few people on this journey to review before submission.

I just want to return all glory back to God almighty, the finisher of my faith and my anchor through the waiting. He said it and he brought it to pass. Thank you to my MVPs that kept encouraging me and listening to all my complaints and ranting. You are amazing and I intend to keep our friendship‍❤️‍‍‍❤️‍.

I want to encourage everyone still waiting to keep holding on and keep giving thanks. The wait will be over soon and your mouth will be filled with thanksgiving.

God did, to Him be all the Glory!!!

Started my school application around April last year. I applied to 3 colleges and I got admissions for the 3. I had to choose one against others around June. I couldn't apply for visa early due to some family stuff. Both school application and visa were done by me. I was also assisted in getting schools to apply to by my sister who is in Canada and I then applied to them. My program was for January this year but I applied for visa in November and I had to defer cz I wasn't going for online classes. I got my new letter of admission after 2 days and that same day I submitted it to IRCC through webform. I didn't get any notification that they received it though but,a,,# I trusted God that it went smoothly to them. God helped me, He guided me and He made everything easy for me. I am eternally grateful to God!! This afternoon I reminded God that there shall be no delay nor denial cz that has been my request to Him since the beginning. He did it!!

makano:
Hello Bayor

The Visa officer really took his/her time to analyse your application and you must also take your time to give a convincing response to their concerns..

First, you didn't show enough proof to show the relationship between you and your uncle. Convincing the Visa officer of your relationship with a 3rd party sponsor is very very compulsory and important cos the Visa officers always have issues with sponsors that aint parents of the applicant, so 3rd party sponsor application must be really convincing in proofing the relationship of the applicants with the 3rd party sponsor. Add pictures of you and your uncle, or pictures of yourself, your parents and your Uncle, if your uncle has sponsored you in any educational or career activities.

Second, the Visa officer is not convinced of the credibility of the financial support of your sponsor, you failed to address what your sponsor does i.e the source of his income.. You will need to submit all his business documents including transaction receipts, CAC documents e.t.c that is if he is a businessman.. If he is working, you will need to submit his Employment letter, Promotion letters, pay slips, official Id Card e.t.c.

Thirdly, you failed to convince the Visa Officer that you are established in your home country.. Are you working or you do business, you need to show relevant documents to back up your claims as regards your establishments in your home country. Visa officers do not approve an applicant that isn't well established in his/her home country because they believe such an individual will pose a threat to their beloved country and won't return back to his/her home country after his/her studies in Canada.. So proof to them that you will indeed return back to your country(even though I know you won't) to continue your business or get a better Job with the experience you had gained in Canada or better still build your own company, something just to prove to them that indeed you are gonna come back.. You can submit an Affidavit of Return to convince the Visa Officer..

Lastly, your home ties.. It's kinda related to my third point, prove to them that you have every reason to come back to your home country.. If you are married, your spouse is a strong Home tie, because no one will leave his WIfe or her Hubby in Nigeria and run away.. Also your aged --parents can also be a strong home tie, tell them you are coming back home to reunite with your lovely parents and take good care of them just the way you have been doing before leaving the country for Canada.. If you are a businessman, talk about how important your business is to you, and you wont leave it an stay put in Canada.. e.t.c You know what I am talking about, I shouldn't spoon feed you on everything you should write...

Most importantly, you must work on your LOE and SOP.. Even if the applicants have the required documents and fail to convince the Visa officer through the LOE and SOP, it can still lead to a refusal... As we all know, the LOE and SO is the mouth piece of all applicants to the Visa Officer when it comes to Canada study Visa application because there is nothing like a one on one Interview like the way we have it with other Countries...

Work on this and re-fire and I believe you will get your Visa this time..

Regards
Makano
Thanks boss man

Bobomaigida:
Bayor, you can see that the issues raised aren't much as you were very worried when you were refused, others have shown you the issues, my contribution will be on what you need to do in your next application
1. Get documents that shows the business your uncle does like receipts, contract payments etc, that shows how he gets money.
2. Show your relationship with him, with pictures and if there was anytime he sent money to you get a snapshot and explain in your LOE
3. What do you do show your job ties and if you aren't working which club or coop do you belong to or do you have a sport club you are in take pictures and add
To tie all this you need a very strong LOE that can string a thread with all the 3 points stated above, once you do a draft of the LOE, don't be shy to ask for someone else to review it for you.
All the best
Great. Thank you so much bro I will do that asap
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Bayor65: 8:26am On Oct 14, 2021
Omiinii:
The VO has two basic problems with your application.
1.) The VO believes you didn't provide enough proof pertaining to the relationship between you and your uncle. Although he/she didn't have a problem with the funds in particular but he doesn't entirely believe your uncle provided enough evidence that those funds are free from any liens. The VO sighted that you also didn't prove that your uncle has made any financial responsibilities/affiliations for you in the past or currently.
2.) The second problem the VO has is your personal finance. Even with all the documents you've submitted, he/she believes you are not well established in Nigeria and if you get to canada you wouldn't be able to fend for yourself and ultimately, you'll not return to your home country.

Wait for more advice from the gurus here.
Got it. Thanks bro

Teemenzo:
Two issues in the notes
1) Inability to show relationship with sponsor, sponsor's income and finanacial capacity
2) You did not show how established you as the applicant are. E.g. your job, business, family members, also submitting affidavit of return just to remind them you are coming back to Nigeria.

Those are my own thoughts, other thoughts will come in.
Thanks for this noted!

Please stop assuming and wait for your GCMS notes to arrive....

Using a company's bank account is not even advisable.. The problem should be in your failure to convince the Visa Officer of your relationship with your uncle...

Wait for your GCMS notes to know what really went wrong and stop assuming...

Peace
Okay thanks!

I don't advice you use his company account I think that's even less believable. I think the funds is manageable. It's your relationship with your uncle you should try to prove. I believe your ability to prove it might just help you get the visa. Good luck
Okay thanks
