The only legit way to get a US paypal account is to have a US registered company. Any other way will make you cry at the end of the day..

I have a paypal and stripe because my business is registered there and any payment that comes in must be officially taxed at the going tax rate.

I thought of building this sometime ago. I can actually get the code ready in a week by myself.
But when I thought about the licensing etc I gave up.

If anyone who can handle that part and has the capital to pursue it wants to partner up, I do the coding 100% and they run the business.

The best way to start a business is to realise you may not make profits in the first 6 months. With that mindset you either have a full time job or buffer money to survive

My main advice would be to migrate legally out of the country if you can afford it but I am not sure if you can, so you may have to just totally downsize / live a lower cost of living while rebuilding.

I don’t even know where to start from, but I’ll try to be as honest as possible because I truly need help and direction.

There was a time my life made sense. I ran a good business, had staff working with me, and things were stable. I wasn’t rich, but I was comfortable and hopeful. I had plans. I had structure.

Then everything changed.

My two offices were demolished by the government due to road expansion. Just like that. No proper recovery plan, no real compensation that could help me restart meaningfully. Overnight, I lost my base, my daily operations, and the structure I had built over time.

Since then, it has been one struggle after another.

I tried to bounce back. I really did. Different ideas, different small ventures, different approaches… but nothing has worked. In fact, the more I tried to stand strong again, the more I kept losing the little strength and money I had left.

It got to a point where I started questioning myself.

Maybe I’m the problem.
Maybe I’ve lost my touch.
Maybe I don’t even understand life again.

I’ve applied for jobs—both within my level and even below it—just to have something stable to hold on to, but nothing has come through. Rejections, silence, or no response at all.

Spiritually, I have not been sleeping.

I have fasted.
I have prayed.
I have sought counselling.

But honestly… nothing seems to be changing.

I won’t lie, this phase has affected me deeply. My confidence is not what it used to be. The energy to “try again” is no longer there like before. I wake up some days and just feel blank.

Right now, I’m exhausted.

Not just physically… mentally and emotionally too.

That’s why I’m here.

Please, I need honest advice:

What would you do if you were in my shoes?

Now that we are in the new season, we need a way forward that can make both our FTA platforms active and engaging. In other to tackle this issue, I am proposing to the house and to my fellow admins and I will like everyone's sincere contribution on this issue. Inorder to keep both the Nairaland platform which is our base and headquarters and also the telegram branch active as well, I am suggesting that we lock the telegram group on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, that means the telegram branch will be open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays which captures more than 50% of the trading days of the week. In my humble opinion, I think this gives both the Nairaland platform and the telegram platform to coexist without killing the other platform as we have painfully observed over the years. I'd like everyone's thoughts on this.
