Hmm these recent interviews are not giving any hope. i have a current B1/B2 visa which expires in two years. i have already used it for a trip. now i just got pregnant and i know i have to reapply for a B2 Visa even though i have a valid Visa as the change of intent no dey work again. when renewing my Visa earlier this year i presented my last birthing receipts and the VO was cool with it apparently for her to have renewed. Would apply and get with them as they asked me to during my last interview

EducationRe: My Younger Sister Is Too Dull. by Bcpump: 5:33pm On Jul 30, 2019
petux:
I had to bring this here maybe I could get some helpful advice here as I am really clueless about what to do about her.

My younger sister is too dull. She is not smart and brilliant at all. She doesn't love studying at all. She is doing so poor in school due to her lackadaisical attitude towards studying. I have tried to talk her and advice her into studying, but she will just looking through it as if she doesn't know what she is reading and all.

During the time she was doing WAEC and NECO, you won't even know she was writting exam. My mum bought textbooks for her but she will end up misplacing them since she won't read them. What she enjoy doing most is just to eat, sleep and all these children story books. She is now fat like Bleep.

I always try to make her study or sometime even force her but there is little I can do for her as I can't put all the book in her head and I am not even always around because I'm in school.

I helped her check her waec result yesterday, and what I saw made me sad. She failed 6 subjects and passed only 3 subjects which she even had only C5 and C6.

I don't know what do to about her because I am tired. I don't want her to gain admission into the university with this kind of spirit because it's not going to help her at all. What can I do for her? How can I help her become more serious and become a better girl. She is 17.

Useful Advices will be highly appreciated.
Mods, please do the needful.

Thanks
hi poster. I think your sister is not an academic person. if you introduce me to her I can help her out. what she needs is just to understand basic maths and English. Then she should be asked what she loves (in terms of skills) and be honed in it. she would need the English to communicate with customers and basic arithmetic to calculate sales money.
Don't look down on her. we can work on her.

Good Evening Fam,

Kudos to all the members of this group, always dishing out very helpful info. I salute!

Pls I need help!....I went for renewal of my visa sometime in May, but was denied. The consular asked how much I paid for my previous delivery and I told him (about 4K). This was cos my hospital gave lots of discounts- 45% for self pay and another 30% for prompt pay. The officer kept typing God knows what and then said I didn’t qualify.

Now I reapplied after 2 months and went back for interview yesterday. My transcript reads:::
Me: Gd mrrg
VO: Gd mrrg, why do you want to travel to the US?
Me: I will like to have my baby
VO: ohhh, when is your due date? (Sounded quite pleasant)
Me: xxxx
VO: (opens my profile in her system) have you paid more money for the previous treatment you received?
Me: I paid all my bills before leaving the US, I have all my zero balances
VO: thank you pls go(hands me the yellow paper)

Hmmmm, house pls how am I supposed to pay the hospital more Money when I don’t owe anything?

I called the hospital immediately and they confirmed I have zero balance for everything. They even sent me their hospital policy that sates the discounts that must be given to all patients ( cos I asked them to give me another bill without any form of discount so I can
pay all).

Pls I need advise. What do I do from here? Cos it seems I may not be able to renew my visa till I do something about the bills.
Call the hospital and pay up the balance to a total of 10k. the VO knows the average cost of delivery in the area should not be as low as 4k. they frown greatly at discounts.

I know it's not your fault. the hospital offered you a package and you went with it. but now the people who can grant a visa are saying irrespective of how nice a hospital is, you cannot pay Less than 10k (roughly around that. I have seen someone that has gotten a visa with an 8k bill).

So today was my 221g follow up interview. There were just two interviewers, a white and a black. I think I was lucky to get the white one cause the black VO seemed kind of mean. A pregnant lady who went to the black lady, was asked why she wanted to go the US and immediately she said to give birth, no further questions were asked. Not even her doctor's correspondence. She was just
given the blue slip and told she did not qualify at this point.

My VO's first question was why I spent 12 weeks during my last stay. I mentioned I gave birth. She asked for my receipts. Asked How much I paid. I mentioned 21k. She was okay with the receipts and discussed some insurance options (which I would not talk about here to avoid being misinterpreted, before every one starts using insurance and getting people into trouble). She counted when I got pregnant from when I applied for the previous B1/B2 visa and said so I was not pregnant when I applied for the visa. I also went with my change of intent letter but she did not ask to see that.
She asked where, and I mentioned Maryland, then she asked what type of delivery, of which I said c-section. I could her acting like she was
confirming details from her screen.

She also asked if I would want to give birth with the B1/B2 She would be giving me, and I told her if I got pregnant in the future I would not mind. She then told me to contact the embassy if I wanted to give birth and they would let me know what to do. Then asked me to pick up my passport in 3-5 days.

In all It was God's Grace. For now I think applying for a B2 directly seems the way for birthing right Now, especially as the new change of intent letter reply directs people to do that.

Thanks but I don’t think you get my question. The insurance my husband’s company use is a global one, (so just like Axa Mansard here in Naija, but the difference is, theirs is a global insurance, not limited to Naija, it is for anywhere in the world). Whether, we decide to use it or not, they deduct it from his salary annually. I am NOT going to US to apply for insurance cos I already have the insurance that covers things like childbirth and even up to dental.

My question now is this, should I go as a self-pay patient, or let them know our insurance covers it? I’m asking because even if I say I’m going as a self paying patient, (which I did for the first trip), I will still end up using the insurance because the insurance company already deducted it. But, wouldn’t it look like I lied?

Will them knowing I’m going with my insurance card boost my chances because no need to worry about me getting discount or I should look for a hospital that charges higher and go as a self paying patient, then our insurance settles later.

The only problem is that most hospitals still quote about same price for their self paying patients. I’m so confused.
Hello. You can use this. my VO today told me it ie okay as long as it is not a government insurance or one for residents. that an international insurance can fly

Hello people, I have a question below this summary.

I gave birth last year with a B1/B2 visa, and my visa expired recently.
Now I am about renewing to attend a training session in the US. But I also intend to use the visa for birthing again in the event that I get pregnant within the next two years.

is there anywhere I can specify that it is for both training/vacation and to give birth in the future, in the event that it recommends dropbox for the renewal?
