Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by BCraig:
Augustine Again: why people laugh at this south african military..hahhaha...simple reason grin

they have no courage in battle.

if seleka kicked out your 250 soldiers in disgrace, why not go back with 2,500 soldiers and show seleka that you wish to be second strongest military in africa after Egypt ?

fear and trembling did not let south african army return to CAR and face seleka again to avoid more deaths.

then they make excuses and say they were outnumbered by seleka rebels.

if dog bite lion tail, why the lion no come turn face tear the dog now ? grin

i hope zimbabwe's army will not defeat south african amry one day o !
Now that you've accepted that you've made a fo*l of yourself re: the above and your supposed "special invitation", you've decided to shrink into your usual Seleka shell.

Even then, you continue to disgrace your children.

We were in CAR in terms of a bilateral agreement. With the change of guard in CAR, what further business did we have there? What right even, did we have to be in there? We did enough to get our people out and had deployed sufficiently to do whatever was necessary. We weren't on a peace-keeping mission or anything of that sort. This should not have to be explained to you.

You claim to be a researcher but basic concepts and current events allude you.

.
You did well to change you initial post, which read: "Nigeria the only African navy that was invited".

Guess you've since realised that South Africa was in fact invited eh?

Well done. Suppose for once you properly researched something.

You are still fake, however. grin

Oh, i take it you do realise that South Africa has hosted one? cool

EDIT: I take the above back! shocked shocked I see the words "invited" still appear in your post. Well under the circumstances, I have no option but to pronounce you an idi*t. grin grin

South Africa was invited. You are clueless.

As predictable as the rising of the sun. You ran out of ideas a decade ago. The NAF should take the man hours they invested in you and your desk job back.

Remember that you are sitting with a failure in Mali. So, I wouldn't get too carried away with the pictures, if I were you.

Bon appetit to me.

some people have zero knowledge of military stuff on this forum. all they do is wait for others to post a sound military comment, then they sniff out the english grammer in their post....or just anything to comment about....people infected with a human version of mad-cow disease grin
.
Deal with the content. Don't come here with your cowardly "sub tweets".

One needn't be a formula one driver to comment about last week's race. Fake MBA logic yet again.

No respectable person ranks Naai-geria above South Africa. That's a fact.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Off to enjoy my dinner. You can cry over the above and cause a river to flow from Lagos to Timbuktu. Nothing will change.

Msauza: Atleast it is only in SA where civilians have the rights to open a case against the police for abuse of power. This privilege is unfortunately not enjoyed in Nigeria as police have every right to harass civilians and still get away with it without paying any compensation. Harassment by the police is an order of the day in Nigeria and poor civilians have nobody to speak on their behalf by suing the state, especially where the abuse of power took place.
Exactly, as is the case in every self-respecting democracy.

The article simply serves to demonstrate the strength of our democracy. It's a positive and not a negative.

NaijaPikinGidi: Bulletproof vests worn 'incorrectly' in CAR
2013-07-19 09:14

Johannesburg - The incorrect use of bulletproof vests during the Battle of Bangui in the Central African Republic (CAR) in March was probably why 15 South African soldiers were killed, Beeld reported on Friday.

Colonel Renier "Doibi" Coetzee, a senior South African Special Forces officer, made this statement on behalf of his superiors at a press conference in Pretoria earlier this week.

Coetzee said soldiers who had worn their jackets correctly withstood several bullets and survived the ordeal.

He said that after the 23 March battle it had emerged that some of the South African troops had not worn their jackets in the prescribed way.

"Some took out the bulletproofing plates, while others just wore breast plates. This left their backs unprotected."

Coetzee said the army was currently evaluating both instructions for wearing the jackets, and the quality of items being issued to soldiers.

"It is true that our jackets are a bit old, and that the technology is a bit outdated... but there's nothing wrong with them."

Wearing the jackets was optional, and especially when it was hot, solders tended to remove the plates.

"American and British soldiers in Afghanistan eat and sleep with their jackets on, and they would not dare move from camp without them. This is one of the things that after the current evaluation will probably become mandatory for our soldiers," he said.

Since this was posted a while back, all South African brains here have failed to make any comment about it. Brainless cowards!
Your post was weak and it definitely deserved no acknowledgement.

Your post simply affirms South Africa's approach of continuos improvement.

1. Who made the observation? The South African military did.

2. Is wearing vests optional? Yes, it is. The report says clearly.

3. Will rules be improved to make wearing vests mandatory? The report says clearly that this is being considered.

The observation is entirely an internal South African military observation and therefore, it talks to self-improvement, doesn't it?

Weak post, Naijapigoon.

Augustine Again:

see the r.ubbish you wrote above. okay now....

Nigeria too can produce all the equipment and weapons that DENEL makes if we decide to do so.

You say anti-bomb robots are common ? so anything nigeria makes that south africa does not make is common ? same way you said nigerian 120km range rocket testing at Epe can be done by any fool too. you friend @saengine posted a 1km range rocket made by an american amateur to prove how a south african brain compares things, 120km = 1km grin

Fact is, nigerian NAF made remote controlled bomb detonation robot is the first to be made in Africa, your son will read that in the books of african history soon.

Since you say you dont care, then we nigerians too dont care about all the DENEL made weapons you south africans post here, go eat them for breakfast, please inform @THIZA grin

.
It's obvious that South Africa has the capability. 500 pages have shown that.

It's also obvious that Naai-geria does not have the capacity to build what Denel has built. 500 pages later and all we have from Naai-geria is the Igirigi and a toy robot.

Grasping at straws, yet again.

In any case, your robot is an exhibition toy. Where has it been used? By whom? How many units are out there? I bet you do not even have the production lines to produce 5 of those toys.

Augustine Again: you just hit the nail on the head, this is the real problem with south african military and why those who know their weakness will NEVER rank them above nigeria, algeria, ethiopia, and morocco.

this is the bitter truth, the real unbiased truth.
Oh, you wish, fake MBA.

No credible commentator would even try to rank South Africa below Naai-geria. Everyone knows doing that would cause them to be laughed at. You're grasping at straws. As if there aren't people out there that know the strengths of the South African military. Strengths that Naai-geria can only dream of, as has been shown time and again. Your attempts to bump up Naai-geria in the rankings keep failing, because informed commentators don't subscribe to wishful thinking.

Hezron Lorraine: you don't read b4 u reply with junks.
Again,u were blind where I said there are different legal system.c'mon.
We've stressed the part of the claims, stop re-cycling.
1. You do not have a legal qualification.

2. You have not been admitted into the profession.

Which system recognises you as a lawyer? The Naai-gerian system? OK, then. I should've known better.

You'll make a poor lawyer IF you ever get there one day. You don't even know not to use "junk" in the plural form. Yet, you claim to be a lawyer. cry

Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by BCraig:
Hezron Lorraine: corrected it while u were quoting.let me enlighten u again.
Well,The Justice systems are different, mind you,all around the world the general principle is once u are out of uni,u are already a lawyer,Law school is for advanced legal studies.people tend to regard lawyers who make law school as more professional or expert in the legal profession,.it ought not be,the uni degree qualifies you to some specialties even as of now, since most people believe lawyers who practice are better,so the legal body shifted focus to accept lawyers with law school qualifications into any legal proceeding.
Just like a practice in UK,where an attorney may not be a solicitor.
You still remain clueless. The fact is that you claimed to be what you are not. If you were a lawyer to begin with, law school would have taught you that your character and what you do, do not strengthen a weak argument. There'd be no need for you to tell us that you're a lawyer, if you really were one. You'd just argue your point and move on. Lawyers will look at the content of your argument. Not who you are or what you do.

Moving along to your useless points. South Africa and the UK have a bar system. If you are called to the bar in South Africa, you're an advocate. Barrister in the UK. Attorneys aren't in the bar in South Africa. Ditto solicitors in the UK. Barristers, advocates, attorneys and solicitors all practise law. I don't know what you mean by: "so the legal body shifted focus to accept lawyers with law school qualifications into any legal proceeding.". That's rubbish. If you aren't admitted as a Barrister, advocate, attorney or solicitor, you cannot appear in any court (caveat - unless you're are a candidate attorney, pupil etc). You are talking about concepts that you don't grasp undecided.

But what's that gotta do with the price of cheese in China, anyway? Why even mention it? That's admission-into-the-bar issue. Not an education issue.

In South Africa, you do pupilage for one year after law school and the high court will admit you as an advocate. You do articles for two years after law school and the high court will admit you as an attorney (less if you do practical legal training). In both instances, you still need to sit for "the exam". You aren't a lawyer simply by virtue of having gone to university. You still have to go through these things I discuss above, before you can be released to an unsuspecting public.

You haven't even obtained a legal qualification, let alone worked in a law firm. Better still, let alone being admitted as an attorney.

Yet, here you are claiming to be a lawyer. How? If you define a "lawyer" as someone who is interested in or studies law - fine, then. However, if you define "lawyer" as someone who is qualified to practice law, well...

In any case, the first definition is a waste of my time because studying law does not mean that you know anything. You certainly know absolutely nothing. I repeat: law school will give you jurisprudence (i.e. legal theory) and case law, but going to law school is only the beginning. Without articles, associateship, pupilage etc, you are just full of theory. You haven't even gone to law school. You don't even have the theory. You haven't even begun. You are an aspirant lawyer. Accept that and be happy. Don't tell us that you are something that you are not. The more you speak, the more clueless you sound.

Hezron Lorraine: you ever heard the word attache,or par-legal.they don't go to law school.they only have knowledge of the legal profession, yet every law firm needs the services of one.
Law School doesn't make u reason like a law,it teaches to shake the world with your professiona s a lawyer.if you are well versed in the legal profession,u'll know real lawyers don't argue to bow out.
It's "para-legal".

A para-legal can never be admitted or work as an attorney. They aren't bound by law society rules. They aren't bound by legal ethics. They can't keep trust accounts or even run a practice for their own account. They are only employed to execute a lawyer's instruction, not a client's.

You are clueless.

Law school will introduce you to jurisprudence and case law. But try getting clients based on that alone.

Joor,ja da no.ode omo southie elenu rirun.
Augaugust abeg interprete what I said to craig$
You cannot reason like a lawyer if you haven't even gone to law school - let alone finish your studies. Pre-law is exactly that, pre-law.. Pre means "before", doesn't it? grin

Law school teaches you legal theory.

It is not until you've started work as an associate at a law firm (for a partner) that you'll learn how to apply legal theory to facts.

You haven't even started to reason like a lawyer. You aren't even off first base.

In any case, you should not have misrepresented yourself. If you want to claim that you reason like a lawyer, then you should've said just that.

You should not have said: "That's what we lawyers do." That's what I took issue with.
