Gare you just dey miss yarn dey type nonsense. Are you a lawyer? If yes you must be a charge and bail lawyer.
First and foremost, what prompted the judiciary strike in Rivers? I guess you know why.
There is the tribunal, the appeal court and then the supreme court. Dakuku will definitely find succour in one of them. What happened in Rivers state was a monumental sham. For crying out loud, cant Pdp ever win an election without all these nonsense?
I am in rivers and there was an election. In my area, ppl voted PDP. Infact in my ward, it ws PDP all the way.

Amaechi is d downfall of Dakuku.....APC also rigged the election. I have a friend in my area. He was given money to share wif some of his friends to snatch balot boxes which he did but he was fooled.

APC thugs had to beat up family love and rhythm fm reporters in ogoni land.

If the election was a total sham as they say, why did APC win in Eleme both in the governor n house of assembly elections. Why didn't the PDP go there and shoot as ppl claim they r the doing?

In buguma, where they say there were serious gun shots, it was done by APC

So many allegations here n there.

Let APC accept and try harder next time.

There is no where in the world were elections are 100 percent perfect

PoliticsRe: INEC Insists Election Held In Rivers, Say Amaechi Erred To Ask For Result Sheet by bdidi: 10:29am On Mar 30, 2015
Excuzeme:
You did not address the "substance" of the post!

1.) Why did Amaechi insist on seeing that the "Result Sheet" are actually present at the Polling Booth, as expected

2.) Does Amaechi's seeing of such paper constitute an electoral offense (If Yes, pls educate us by directing us to it or quoting where we can get it)

3.) If there had been widely circulated reports of Result Sheets being snatched/purchased by the opposition party, will you as a party leader in your state, try to VERIFY this, by asking to see the one for your Ward?

4.) Why is it difficult... and what would it cost the INEC staff to just "hold out the paper" for the Governor to see....... if there is nothing to hide, from the presiding officers side.
How difficult can showing a "paper" be? I remember most PDP supporters asking "How difficult it is for Buhari to just show his Certificate", even if they are sure he has one/or not

These are the issues l expect us to focus on......... assuming we want to be objective and intelligent as we claim.

FYI: Voters waited and witnessed Returning Officers write the "announced Votes" (numbers) into the result Sheet and the officers OPENLY DISPLAYED such sheets to the Voters around.
This is why you observe that the Voting process in some parts of the country were so flawless and peaceful.

This is not about Amaechi as a person........ITS ALL ABOUT CREDIBILITY AND FAIRNESS.

This election has come and gone, the winner has not been announced but l tell you, some people will read what they wrote during this period, in the future and give themselves a "whack on the head"!
The ELECTORAL ACT as amended I think in 2010 speaks clearly on the issue of result sheet. Especially when or at what point should the result sheet be provided.

Please you can refer to that act for an answer.

Buhari's certificate saga negates the law in the electoral act.

The issue in Buhari's case is not just whether he has a certificate but also that did he submit his purported credentials with his Inec form?
He said he thought his certificate was with the military hence the affidavit. The question here is why did he have to assume? Why not do your verification first from the military before the affidavit. Its was obvious he did not do that....which to me is faulty.

The military later on denied the fact. Hence the statement of result he later on brought out ....which to me is late and filled with lots of anomaly. I want to believe the case is in court.

I had to delve a lot into Buhari's issue because it is totally different from Amaechi's blunder
PoliticsRe: INEC Insists Election Held In Rivers, Say Amaechi Erred To Ask For Result Sheet by bdidi: 10:07am On Mar 30, 2015
Exigency:
Comments on this issue have been rather bias and sentimental. We should not forget that Amaechi was once in the fold and so he knows the game plan. He knew the result sheet will never be there and so that was the first thing he went for. He was not prepared to vote cos he knew it will never count. He probably has done that before too.

But what happens to all the people who stood in the sun and rain for so many hours for accreditation and voting? If their votes didn't count then a crime has been committed. It doesn't matter of their party won, their votes still didn't count and by extrapolation they really won't have a say in the gov't. If that is how the people want it, too bad. Then our democracy still has a long way to go. But I would think that reasonable people in all eras where such happens will really want to follow this up and get to the bottom of it to prevent it from happening again.
Amaechi's cousin who registered in the same PU actually voted. The APC party agent there signed the result sheet so why this wahala?

When Gov Amaechi asked to "SEE" the Result Sheet, he was told by the INEC-Corper: "There is NO Result Sheet".
Question is: What happened to the Result Sheet?

Of-course, that is the easiest part of the question! It has been HIJACKED by PDP, for entering of "Fake Figures: and then to be passed-on as the "authentic Result" of the Voting in that Polling Booth.

Otherwise, you might ask: What does it cost the INEC-Corper to just "SHOW" the Governor, the Result Sheets, there and then in fron tof everyone?

PD.Pigs supporters can have "Brain fatigue" when it suits them but like the killings in the East of Nigeria, "What goes around, has a way of coming around"

Lastpage!
The answer --there is no result sheet means that he is not authorised to show the result sheet to Amaechi cos he is not a party agent.

Is Amaechi a party agent assigned to that polling unit? Even if you say he is Buhari's presidential agent, he went there as a voter and not as a governor or agent.

Having said that, what did the electoral act say about result sheet?

You are not allowed to show that document to any other person apart from the party agents. So Amaechi faulted there.

The electoral act was so clear about that sensitive document......So why is he causing trouble?

Even if they go to court, they don't have any case.

My brother.......the sheet will only be shown to the party agent and not to the electorate that is what the electoral act as amended said.

Even in the south west, some inec officers filled the result sheet at the collation centres so why the wahala in rivers?

Niger is being declared and GMB is wining handsomely. Same for Kwara too. Kogi and Nassarawa are for APC as well. PDP will likely win Benue and Plateau. If APC win Lagos, and Ondo plus Osun and Oyo, only massive rigging can save PDP. Forget whatever result they will bring from SS/SE, I factored the unusually high percentages from the SE/SS in my analysis and PDP still didn't win.

Even Abuja which I gave to PDP, APC is currently leading there!

PoliticsRe: Nigerian Economy Remains Strong - Okonjo-Iweala (Video & Transcript) by bdidi: 7:34pm On Mar 29, 2015
Its so unfortunate when people come up with all sorts of comments that negates the very essence of what is happening to us as a country especially at these trying times.

Factors making us have these austerity measure are not are fault as a country. People shout corruption....yes there is but what has been done to block the corruption.

I read somewhere in her statement where she said something about e-collect and channeling that to a single account in CBN....my people that is a good way of check mating leakages.

Corruption has been in existence in Nigeria right from when we got our independence but with all the actions geared towards curbing it over the years, has it stopped corruption? Rather corruption is becoming endermic.

So the right way to the curb it just like she stated is to stop people having access to funds directly especially those in government. Make the political position not lucrative. That is a sharp change from the usual norm and you will agree with me that is if you are quite objective to issues like this that people particularly people at the helm of affairs would always kick against it. She (Okonji ) affirms to this pustulation.

To be honest as much as I want more to be done with regards to the elevation of our economy, I will still give it to this woman. She is good.

Can people check out the economy in Venezuela and some other oil producing countries? Nigeria is managing the situation better.

We all have to come together as a nation in love and push this economy forward.

We will not understand what the finance minister is doing until there is a new government

Who owns TVC?

All the same, there is no need for violence as far as am concerned.

Both PDP and APC did commit their various electoral alleged malpractices.....its just that I think one was smarter than the other. But remember, the malpractices is alleged until proven in the law court!

The Law has a way of twisting and turning issues/ facts.

No wonder people making the laws will always want it to favour them in one way or the other.

The electoral act for example, has contradicting laws with regards the result sheets.

The question here is at what point should the INEC official present, show the result sheet for recording of voting results?

I remember reading some comments from some ad hoc inec officials saying they had to fill there result sheet at the collation centre and not at the polling booth or unit. So what does that implies? These especially happened a lot in the SW.

Why is PDP not protesting there also? I am not holding brief for PDP but am just trying to be objective

The President and his wife have been accredited!

To remind most people here........They keep saying that PDP has ruled for 16 yrs with nothing to show for it....ok agreed. Thank you very much but they have failed to understand that PDP is an acronym and also a nomenclature that is been steered by humans.

Has anyone taking a critical look at the APC composition? Especially with regards to the people steering the affairs. You will notice if only they will be objective enough to see that 90% of the main people in APC were the same people that was in the so called 16yrs of failure!

Can anyone tell me what has changed? Well the answer as far as am concerned is APC. All the people that made PDP a bad party are there now.

What are we going to expect if they win? Leave Buhari, can Buhari alone steer the affairs there and in the economy alone? No and that's the truth.

So PDP has been purged off the bad eggs.

Vote wisely

Don't know whether Nigerian military is just arrogant, plain stupiid , incompetent or just scared to work with the Chadians.

The stuupidity of Nigerians thinking they are sabotaging the more experience and battle-hardened Chadians
My brother, don't you think you really need to understand the rules of engagement they all signed?

The border fronts were to be handled by the allied forces while the southern fronts were to be handled by the Nigerian military. Which means that mop up activities would be done in these places and gradually moving up north towards the border.

I just think these is purely political.

U say this because u didn't loose any loved ones during the crisis. ..

we are winning. ..at what cost..don't let the spirit of the dead decend on u.. people lost lives because our president let territories be taken under his watch..
That was an unfortunate collateral damage which is quite regrettable but taking a critical look at it, if you will be objective in reasoning and avoid sentiments please, you will notice, find that GEJ was arm twisted.

Arm twisted because when he started the fight against boko haram with Ihejirika at the helm of affiars, what did Buhari, EL rufai and the northern elders forum say?
Initially, America did not include boko haram in the list of terrorist group which enabled them boko haram to buy arms and equipped themselves.

Why did America never wanted to sell arms to us?

Why did the northern forum say that the FG should dialogue with boko haram?

When the US finally listed them in the terrorist list were the Northern elders forum happy? What was (NEF) their response?

It was until they found out that the boko harams were now killing virtually everybody moslems and Christians then they began to mount pressure on the president to do something quickly.

It was late for the president cos he had to start shopping for arms by all means no thanks to US blackmail.

GEJ also had to begin to scout for allied forces cos terrorism cannot be fought alone. U can ask America.

Thank GOD for Russia and her likes, GEJ was able to get arms after lots of trials n failure.

And also the agreement for the allied forces was also put in place with some international backing like france.

So you see why GEJ was arm twisted.....

The most important thing is it is better late than never!

And I thank GOD, we are winning the war against Boko haram.

Don't blame GEJ.
