luvmijeje: You are muddling it up. When the school released his statement of result, was any eyebrow raised concerning the school authority to do such? Fine the school doesn't have the power to issue out certificate but they do have master copy of the results of their student. My dear am not twisting anything. I just stated the obvious. To answer your question......yes of course! I saw the statement of result and I quickly knew it was going to land him into problem. Having said that, assuming that is accepted, why did he not fill that in his form? Why say his certificate was with the military and brought a sworn to affidavit to that respect and when submitting the form he did not attach his certificates along....this are what am saying. He even filled that he is civil servant. Please is He a civil servant? |

dadaic: Please be reasonable for once. Why would he be the then president if he didn't have his affidavit? We should pray for Nigeria now, not be happy about you receiving 1 million likes for not thinking straight. IF troops have been deployed already, there is going to be some serious chaos. My friend received text messages from their companies to close 12pm on Friday, and that their homes should be stocked with food, and petrol, that there is going to be a serious issue in the country. If a company can send such text messages, don't you think we should be praying. Not for you to come on here and be saying why did one lie? Like you are some freaking saint yourself. Point of correction when he was a president, he came in through the guns! And not affidavit. |

luvmijeje: And in which school did he sit for the examination? My sis! if u understand the workings in the education sector with regards to certificates and all that especially like the one we are discussing about, in external exams handled by examination bodies, the school has no role to verify the certificate. Take Waec for example......weac is the only body that can verify SSCE not the school. Why not say waec should verify the internal school exams that the school has full authority over? So that result is not verifiable.....Cos waec says they don't have such result and ghana exam body has denied it too. Cambridge say he should apply for his result or give them the order to release it but Buhari is stalling. Why is he doing that because his name is Mohammadu and not mohammed |

Like my friend said, nothing is greater than the law,but Wisdom. It is only in Nigeria we can get this kind of submission. Was GEJ not also sued? With respect to his eligibility to contest but he won the case So why is APC n Buhari afraid to go ahead with the case? Please its not about wisdom but call for justice. Heaven won't fall if he is disqualified. However bitter the truth may be that is the truth! No one is above the Laws of the Land |

I think they need to start with this one firstly. Start the corruption case first with the opposition cos the facts are in BLACK n WHITE. Its not a rocket science! Destiny when there is PERJURY case on the line? Its so unfortunate that some people are not taking the case serious. The suits against him are quite serious cos there are facts in black and white.....the rule of LAW must prevail. Is that not part of the CHANGE mantra! |

History would judge the judge that dares gives the stupid judgement. My brother! History will not judge the judge that dares to give the judgement because the rule of law has to take its natural course. No man is greater than the rule of law! If the rule is in his favour then the law has failed and that would affect the history negatively. |
Politics › Re: I’ll Make Naira Equal In Value To Dollar, Says Buhari by bdidi: 2:02am On Mar 24, 2015 |
bondingman: Please stop saying what you don't know. The major source of foreign exchange funds to Nigeria is crude oil. We produce about 2.4 million barrels/day That translates approximately to 876 million barrels/year. At $50 /barrel, gives us 43,800 million dollars /year. (50x876m) Oil production companies take 43% of the oil revenue - 43% x43,800 m= $18,834 million taken by oil companies. Nigeria govt gets: 43,800m-18,834m = $24,966 million i.e $24.966 billion/year
Now that's what runs the government; salaries etc Where did Nigeria get up to $105billion/year let alone stealing it? Very intelligent analysis! And they say GEj supporters are clueless? |

When will we stop this? Pls my bro go back and read the content well. I just did again and again..... When someone says I will make the naira equal to a dollar in value what does that mean. I bet you were looking for where he would say I would make 1naira to be equal to 1 dollar? this is just saying the same thing |
Politics › Re: I’ll Make Naira Equal In Value To Dollar, Says Buhari by bdidi: 1:51am On Mar 24, 2015 |
ribbit: bullshit... If it has good as you painted it, why not devalue it to 1000 to 1dollar so dangote can get all the profits... Only a producing nation gains from currency devaluation not a country like Nigeria that we hardly produce anything.. Apart from crude oil, tell me what else we produce for export in large quantity in these country apart from crude oil?
China was able to gain from currency devaluation because it is an industrial nation... It practically produces almost everything we have in the world today, that's why it's citizens have been able to enjoy alot from the devaluation.
Now you want us to be happy because our currency is falling without anything to show for it.
Now I know many Nigerians need serious education. Well this is the more reason GEJ must continue cos he has made the step to the right direction. |

Laid2001: I am amazed at the ignorance of majority of people on this nairaland What an illiterate breed this country is turning into.
Soludo, have proposed this same thing during the time of Yaradua and it is called Naira denomination. Government will simply change the naira notes and make 200 of the old naira notes to change for 1 new Naira note to be introduced, pronto 1$ will then be equals to 1Naira.
Also, Sanusi proposed the same thing but each time the economists proposed this solution which has been used by many countries including Turkey, the politicians always kick against it for the simple purpose of their alter ego. Since majority of them calls themselves millionaire, they dont want to turn thuosandnaire overnight! Ghana did this....are they better now? |

No way in hell the Naira will ever ever be equal to the Dollar in 100 years.
We can start by ensuring 100% availability of electricity and water, education, security and then foreign companies will come and set up industries.
But carry go Sir, adults knows that politicians over promise and under deliver Hahahah! Na sentimental or sympathy vote u wan give am? |

demandtruth: Jesus!
I'm really disappointed on this your line of economics postulation is this what politics has turned you to
How does export work in favour of Nigeria just because naira is disvalue.
My, were you ever taught about production/competitive market/market penetration costs value
Anyways, Gmb till you separate your emotion from facts My bro he is very right.......when you have a very strong naira to a dollar, your export becomes too expensive. There must be a point where a balance of trade must be attained. Usa is having that problem now cos they have a stronger currency across all other currencies. Soon 1 Euro may equal 1 dollar with the way things are at the moment and that has done them no good in their export department Meanwhile the bro did not say export would be expensive when u devalue your currency rather he said when there is a strong naira value. |
Politics › Re: Court Bars Soldiers From Polling Stations by bdidi: 1:06pm On Mar 23, 2015 |
As much as the soldiers don't have business at the polling stations, they have lots of business roaming the streets and major areas prone to violent.
Their presence will forestall any violent that may arise due to the heated tensions this election has generated so far.
In as much as we have soldiers fighting in all fronts NE, there are still many that will be drafted to help secure the internal peace we need during the election.
People don't really respect the police much which in itself is a very unfortunate situation but with the presence of soldiers, people will maintain a good decorum. Hence a peaceful election. It happened in Egypt. |
