There is nothing like IP1 or IP2 anymore. The change you saw is normal, you can either see the change or BC remains. People recently got PPR with either. The fact is there is a progress in your application. To know the exact status, either raise a CSE or call IRCC. johnnybravo1990: I have a couple of question for seniors in the house. I got an update, and in my application status, Background Check changed from ‘We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information’, which it has always been from AOR, to ‘Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check’. This looks like my application process is going backward instead of progressing.
1. Should I be worried? AOR was in March; I passed medical exam on 3rd March and completed biometrics on 6th March 2019.
2. What stage of application am I—Ip1 or Ip2?
Current application status is as seen below. |

Wow! Big big congratulations. God is never late. Raconteur14: It's been a long while I have been here. Decided to share my PPR story even though I didn't get it through express entry.
May 2017- Wrote IELTS for the first time and passed. (Just expired last week).
July 2017 - Got the result of my ECA assessment from WES.
July 2017 - Dived into the pool with a total score of 466.
August 2 2017 - Got an ITA as lowest CRS was 441.
August 9 2017- CRS was 433.
After due consultation on this forum, I realised I had wrongly put a certification that I had not assessed with my ECA. I was advised to remove the certification and revert to my 433 scores since it would be sufficient to get an ITA since the last draw on August 9 was 433.
August 23 2017- CRS was 434
September 6 2017- CRS was 435
September 14 2017- Celebrated my birthday and lost 6 points. My CRS dropped to 427
September 20 2017 - CRS was 433.
The rest as they say is history. CRS never dropped again to levels achieved in 2017.
I was sad, cursed my luck and was unhappy. I continued with my masters program in Unilag, hoping to finish by the end of 2018 so that I could get the extra 40 marks for masters. As I type this, while I am done with my course work, I'm yet to defend my project, talk less of results or certificate.
January 2019 - I got married to my girlfriend who was a PR.
January 2019 - I got a new job.
February 27 2019 - Submitted my sponsorship application (Average time of processing is one year)
March 2019- I did my biometrics.
May 16 2019- I got an e-mail that I was eligible for pre-arrival services.
May 16 2019- I got another e-mail to go and do my medicals. I was so excited about this that I was bubbling up and down. People usually do medicals 6 months or more after the application has been submitted.
May 16 2019- I got yet another e-mail from Accra Immigration notifying me that my Visa was ready. So is my COPR. I had just gotten the PPR email. I was behind myself with so much joy and I still can't believe it. But God did it.
I share this to encourage someone. Be patient, keep at it and God would bring your own testimony for you.
I couldn't keep up with the thread from Part 3 because my situation wasn't changing. I am pretty sure that people we started together then are well settled in Canada now. But I am just so glad that God showed up for me this way. It's only him! |

A lot of PhD holders had assessed with several institutions. Some schools issue transcript for PHD (especially the schools that have course work during the programme). I know IQAS has specific instructions/form for PhD holders from UI. Check the ECA bodies' website and decide on which one you want. Overall, they all assess PhD Oopsy: Good day people, has anyone seen or heard of a Ph.D holder who has successfully done ECA? If yes, which institution was used and what documents can one send? Cos I learnt there are no transcript as there is no exam, just research work... and then the certificate.
Any one with any info on this should assist urgently. Thanks. |

You can call or send email to them so as to understand the reason for the delay. I did CDT in January, I got the result end February (almost one month later,) although they sent me a mail on day 5 after the Exam that my result was under quality check. Finally, it ended in praise as it was good. Daybour1: Good morning guys.
I wrote CDT ielts test in Ibadan on the 10th of May. The result should have been online since 17th May and up till now results are not yet available. If this issue happened with paper based, I probably wouldn't be this worried.
Please advise what to do. Thanks. |

PMP and Prince 2 can't add to your point but might be useful in Canny's job market (esp. PMP). If the certificate from LBS is a degree, diploma or masters; you can use it to claim points. Once you are sure they will send your transcripts. For evaluation process, please check page 1 for details. slushy: Hello house. Please I have some questions.
1. Which certificate is more acceptable and will increase points. PRince 2 (IT) or PMP or a certificate from LBS.
2. If any of these is acceptable, do I have to evaluate them too? Also if I need to evaluate will ICAS or IQAS assist with the evaluation?
Thank you all for your help |

I guess it is the balance of your payment due to foreign currency exchange, it happens to me every time I do a foreign transaction with my Naira card (including PR application payment). The bank holds a higher amount and release the balance to you once the transaction is completely processed. On another note, I was refunded the sum of N1665.30(by CIC) about a week after my application was submitted. Other than a credit alert, no explanation was given. Has anyone experienced this? Could there be an explanation for this?
Another thing is I submitted a generic letter of introduction from my bank, a certificate of treasury bills and a letter of non-indebtedness from my bank. I didn't submit any statement of account. Should I be worried? Can someone also assist in adding me to the February ITA group

From what I read on various platforms, R10 completeness check happens around the same time with MEP/BIL. The fact that people that get rejection due to R10 completeness check get it around the time they are expecting MEP/BIL corroborates this. ladymarshall: Seniors, please which comes first? R10 completeness check or MEP/BIL? If for instance, I did not submit the correct police certiificate, will I be rejected early on or months after MEP/BIL? |

Please, I am begging you, please use CSE to upload the ECA certificate ASAP before your R10 completion is done. Someone on a WhatsApp group I am got rejection last week and the rejection mail stated that the ECA certificate (credential) is missing. Find attached. johnnybravo1990: I beg to disagree. I don’t think that could be the reason for the person’s rejection. Clarify if the person imputed their ECA number correctly. There is a column somewhere in the application where we are to put down our ECA report number. Or are you saying the ECA number we wrote does not count? Please don’t give people unnecessary anxiety. I uploaded only degree certificate, and I am not going to panic, because the instruction for uploading document for education clearly said ‘degrees/diplomas’, and not ’degrees/diplomas + ECA certificate’. The ECA number we put should take care of the ECA. However you can also upload ECA certificate if you wish.
