Can you imagine the insult!! Were there no clashes before the anti-grazing bill? Was the bill not a response to quell the incessant clashes? What right has this uncircumcised Philistine to tell a state what law should be and not to?

Aside from all the unnecessary suspicions and ridiculous conspiracy theories, the fact is that ut is not the job of govt to rstablish ranches. Just as govt does not plant yam or cassava. Ranches are a private affair and nothing stops people from engaging in such.
On the other hand, there is a looming crises in d country which fg must respond to. First of all fg cannot stop herdsmen from moving about because all nigerians are guaranteed freedom of movt in constitution. But this continued movt is what is causing the clashes and inevitable violence arnd the country. The problem is how do u distinguish a herdsman going about his lawful business from oene that is just out to forment trouble? because it is not enough to send army to go and catch herdsmen in the bush, u still have to prove that that specific herdsman committed the specific crime.

So the dilemma is how can u tell herdsmen to stop moving on pples farms when u have no provided an alternative? The quickest and least expensive solution is cattle colony. Whereby the state (remember alk land in d states belong to state govt not fg) donates some land wherein the herders can rear their cattle, away from peoples farmland. Ranches are just too expensive for govt and out of the question

I believe the expensive ranch you talk about are the standard ones which however can still be afforded by the rich cow owners. Let the cattle owners quickly buy lands from willing sellers to station their cows and buy fodder to feed them there. The hersmen don't even need the standard ranches with all it's infrastructure.
