Supporting an Igbo candidate for president in 2023 is like putting huge money in a confirmed unprofitable venture. Head or tail, you will still lose. All serious political leaders know this. Continue in your grandstanding. Time shall tell what the outcome would be. |

Politics › Re: Controversy Trails Abuja Rice Pyramid Show, As Farmers Reporedly Scam CBN by BeardedmeatR(m): 12:03pm On Jan 30, 2022 |
greatiyk4u: Tales by moonlight
CBN knows how to collect the loan when the time comes,
Since these products follow a chain during sales to get to the consumers, the farmers alone cannot determine the prices of this products
For example, when a bag of beans was sold for 30k in Taraba, same was selling at 65k in Enugu state Is this same fault of the farmer? Show me one government loan scheme, whether at the fed, state or LG that worked?? I mean where beneficiaries actually paid back in full, and defaulters prosecuted. That's why buhari made traderMoni 10k. It was for nothing else other than election votes buying. What can 10k do for anybody. But because there's has never been a system and tradition to recover and account for the loans, they dash the borrowers things they can afford to loose, and embezle the rest. Coming to the farmers, who are majority northerners, they couldn't be bumper harvest at a time when bandits have overran the farms. They bought the rice. |

Did osunbande anywhere or anytime tell any of you village people he was contesting presidential elections |

zoghys: Is not about the party alone but proactive ness on the part of Mr president. PDP damaged this country as much as the APC Led government and so their is no use for both again at least at the highest level of governance in this country. The thing is that, no third force can gain prominence without the active and physical collaboration of PDP and APC stalwarts. So it's a vicious circle. May be you still believe Nigeria can better than it is now. But I don't see any hope except they restructure or divide the country. |

DGascon: That's exactly what I don't understand. Kidnap and March out hundred people at once. Nobody sees, nobody intercepts. Not that the kidnappers come with truck or what, they are on motorbikes. Sometimes I find it hard to believe. This goes to show how appalling the leadership of the security forces are. Don't find it hard to believe. They have landmass plenty and therefore plenty ungoverned areas. The 100+ victims are simply marched in a single file into the bush. At some point, they are divided into batches for easy admin. Boko Haram would show up to receive some of them, both male and female and the rest will be gone with the kidnappers awaiting ransome, while some are wasted from the get go. It will usually take the forces at least 6hours to arrive the affected villages. Most of these northerners now go to bed in anticipation of a possible kidnapp. So the women especially resorted to dressing fully to bed in case anything happens, they won't be naked for the journey. On the flip side, the north had prided itself as more populous than the south, lies, it's just land mass (ungoverned areas), which has now come to hurt them. |

Ovamboland: For argument sake let us accept your theory of building a refinery in Sokoto as a fact, so in essence you prefer a government whose policies and long term plan is to help support refineries operating in Brasil, USA, Ecuador, Venezuela, Ghana, Niger and keep their nationals employed than one whose policies will attract employment within Nigeria with by-products that can create spin-off industries, opportunities lost because the bulk of our fuel is imported from foreign sources?
The refinery in Kaduna has employees from all over Nigeria, i am sure it's not only northerners and Muslims that work there because i know.
And can you confirm it is cheaper to transport more volatile Petrol, Kerosene in multiple vessels to the northern consumers than a single pipeline for crude oil. It's unfortunate we hate ourselves so much that we prefer foreigners to have benefits from us than our fellow nationals in any part of the country. Sai babber! |
