Go and read King Jaja of Opobo an Igbo man one of the richest Nigeria then,King Jaja was born in Umuduruoha, Amaigbo (TUM TUM TUM's village). Jaja rose from the lowly ranks of a slave to founding his own kingdom. His army of warriors fought valiantly on the side of the British (his business partners) to win the Ashanti War of 1875; for which he was awarded a 'Sword of Honor' by the reigning monarch, Queen Victoria.
He did not suffer the greed of the British imperialists lightly, and immediately fell out of favor with them when they tried to run rough shod on him. He was exiled, and on his way back from exile he died, mysteriously, believed to have been poisoned by the British, who feared that his return would sabotage and/or compromise their imperialistic ambitions in the "Oil Rivers", of which Opobo was the main oil producing city in that region.

That's not the first Nigerian millionaire. The first was Chief Candido Joao Da Rocha an Ijesha man

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Candido_Da_Rocha

Ojukwu tried as the first Ibo millionaire, but as usual. We pioneer everything in that country without making noise about it.
You are qoating Wiki grin That any body can edit, we noticed that you Yorubas has been trying to rewrite history, go and read about Louis Ojukwu, read from Forbe

Shortly before Nigeria’s independence in 1960, Louis Odumegwu Ojukwu, reportedly Nigeria’s first black billionaire, and founding president of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II. The royal honor came after he helped the British during World War II with his fleet of trucks. He was so wealthy that during the Queen’s visit in 1956, she was chauffeured around in his Rolls-Royce – apparently the only one in the country at the time – on the request of the colonial administration.

Profiled in September 1965 by TIME magazine, Ojukwu made his money by importing dried fish for resale, and diversifying into textiles, cement and transport. When he died a year later, his wealth was an estimated $4 billion in today’s economic value.

Lmao. What's is meant by backwardneas? Don't let me post your dirty smelling ABA here where people defecate in a market place.

What constitutes infrastructures is roads, portable water, standard schools, standard market hubs. Not the type of zinc people choose to roof their houses, especially when such houses are monumental houses. The buildings on the pics you posted are standard, the roads are standard, only the zinc roof is rusted and if they had coloured it, the rusting would have been minimised.

A look below at houses in Anambra and ebonyi
Ebonyi is far better than Ondo, Ekiti and Osun state in infrastructures and developments

Not even interested in doctored pics cause it doesn't do much justice to reality-based facts, plus lots of cities in Nigeria are functionally substandard anyway. I just want the clown to post all the IGR and human development index stats for all the SW states except Lagos, while I do the same for the East... Then we go from there.
Yet to see any plan city in southwest, very dirty and backward people

Ogun state IGR alone dwarfs the sum total of all the SE states.

Come to Ogun and Akure, Ibadan, even Osun and see the wonderful infrastructures, you would realise you have been living in a dug holes all this while. A dug holes that have children sitting on the floor like we have in Enugu schools or the dirtiest place in the world named Abia state. There's no place in the aforementioned SW state you would see roads as poor as those you have in the SE. No where you would see dilapidated schools as poor as those you have in the SE. Only Ekiti stuck out like a sore thumb but I bet Fayemi is getting on it.

That aside, nobody contribute nada to the development of Lagos. Lagos seaport was built before the Amalgamation of Nigeria. The first industrial lay out and housing estates in Lagos was built by Awolowo and Jakande. Lekki estate was the brainchild of Tinubu. Lagos' Atlantic city is on her way. All Ibos did in Lagos was to constitute nuisances everywhere after destroying your region with your failures. You pay no tax but to bring your failure to SW. We will start making it tough for you people in the SW. It's a matter of time.[/quote][/s]

Ogun is very backward state
