naijadeyhia: Na wa o! these are the things we keep shouting about. Nigerian medical care has a long way to go. I just got off the phone with DJDOLAs elder brother and he said they are at the abeokuta hospital and are "waiting for their turn" and " their turn might be by 6pm". An emergency being made to wait for 2 whole hours? He did say the OP has been sedated and is now sleeping.
Na siddon look I dey. First impression they say matters. A proper medical set up would wisk the OP straight into ICU and not even sedated yet because already he is having difficulty breathing and is takibg shallow breaths. This is just a big mess. Dats naija for u. U might think health is wealth, but not in Nigeria. If two pple don manage buy jeep dat means the whole country is wealthy. Dat was wat killed my cousin's bf. He collapsed at work and went into a diabetic coma, he was rushed to specialist hospital in Benin and the immediately fixed a drip for him. With 4hrs he was dead . They later discovered he was given insulin overdose which killed him. No enquiry was done, no questions asked, no compensation . |

thinkdip: NL's should take this guy out of there, I sense the family are trying to play games, the money is already in the account, what's stopping them from taking him to luth, I sense something, pls, let's radically force them to respond and take the guy to the hospital so that they won't play games with his life. The OP is still very much lucid. he is an adult, he shud tell the family where he wants to be treated. I wish him luck all the same |

Caracta: Ok. I just got off the phone with his mum. She made me understand the reason for Abeokuta and how similar cases have been treated there successfully. A family member has also been there. A case of "tested and trusted". She said it's no trado-med centre...all modern with equipped laboratory. Arrangements have been made concerning transportation.
I spoke with the OP too. He has never been to the hospital but I made him promise to let me know the situation of things as soon as he gets there. He has been to LUTH so he can make comparisons. The moment I hear that the so-called hospital is nothing to write home about, he has to leave IMMEDIATELY. Told his mum too.
I don't know if it's a good idea to have a Nairalander with them. I have a nice person on standby but I'm not too comfortable.
I'm sorry if I can't respond to all mentions. I've been on mobile all day.
So I guess, final decision for now is Abeokuta...first thing tomorrow. my dear u have tried. God bless u. I dont think u should send a nairalander with them , it might feel like u r trying to monitor them or spy on them. Once he gets there, then u can send someone to visit him and access the situation. |

Artistree: I just got off the phone with Hamed, he says his family is insisting on not taking him back to LUTH cos of the embarrassment they got when he was first admitted there. Can someone or a group of people go down there tomorrow and discuss with his family pls? Op is NOT supposed to be at HOME! He should be following this thread from a HOSPITAL bed for Chrissake!!! I have my heart in my mouth as I type this cos I fear for him, I fear for his survival. Whatever has to be done should PLEASE commence tommorow, time is of great essence here and sentiments should be flung aside. Once again, I sincerely thank EVERYONE who has made this campaign a success, while mankind awaits a sickness-free world, I hope Hamed regains his health soon. Caracta, Gboliwe and those I didn't mention, pls don't relent till Hamed is well again. May God bless you abundantly... There are loads of bad reviews about LUTH but if the hospital knows that the eyes of the nation are on them while the man is there they might just behave themselves. |

msmon: Hammed (a.k.a DJDOLA), I'm suppose to say this if I visit you but since distance won't permit me, I'm sending this invocation via this medium.
Laa ba 'sa tahoorun in shaa Allah. 'Do not worry, it will be a purification for you, Allah willing'
As 'alullahal 'Azeema Rabbal 'Arshil 'Azeem an yashfiyaka. (x7) 'I ask Almighty Allah, Lord of the Magnificent Throne, to make you well ' Ameen
After reading a few pages on this thread, I saw this picture of you lying on the bed and I feel a sense of empathy and wish I'm not an unemployed graduate.
With tear in my eye, I manage to speak with a doctor friend in UCH and send the pix to him via bbm, he said the ailment is cancer related and that UCH has necessary facilities to handle it. I can link you up with him if you wish to go to UCH in Ibadan. He also promised to do everything within his capacity to ensure you get proper medical attention.
I will not promise financial assistance but I hope Allah will surprise me to surprise you.
Peace Onto You Bro

Richy4: I am not married yet but this is how it's gonna be like
My wife: how was your day honey?
me: oh fine sweet. It was hectic today. Though I took some time off to western union to send some money to my mum
My wife: oh that was good. I don't even know when I will have time to do same. It's been a while I sent money to my dad.
Me: why not try Saturday . They open on Saturday bla bka bla.
what is the big deal sending money to your parents Like u said u r not married yet, wen u are married u will realise is not such a simple task especially if its a monthly bill and u are not very rich. U both have responsibilities especially wen u have children and there is swimming, karate , extra lectures etc dat ur kids maybe missing outon becos u send money home regularly. Ur woman will soon start thinking maybe the rest of ur siblings shud do more becos her kids are missing out. Am into the business of money transfer and there are alot of couple dat dont tell their partner. Only last week I went to dis couple's house to collect money. The woman kept walking up and down the stairs, panicking and looking nervous kept winking at me and am thinking wats wrong with her , its her husband dats my frd , me n her aint dat close. I was about living wen she jumped in front overthrowing her husband from seeing me to d door only to squeeze some money into my hand it was then it clicked. I then knew wat all that winking was about I never even drive reach the end of the street wen she called me explaining what the money was for. And she has only been in the country for a year. mufutau55: Ah! OK. I didn't know you have tried Muyesky.. yes, may be he was too occupied. But you got good prices for those burglaries and the door.. may be I will contact you in future when I needed to do more of those for the Duplex project. Let's keep on sharing ideas to keep our cost down. Is Agbara far to Sango-Otta? Thank you.
Hajji M. dat wud be great. My plot is 100 X 130 So I still have main plot to build next year. am going to Nigeria next march to inspect the project if it satisfactory then I will ask him to start foundation fo 5 flatss think agbara is about 1hr frm Sango-Otta, or so I heard |

mufutau55: OK. Not bad for the door. I think that is the same price for the doors that Muyesky makes.. I am also in Ogun - Sango Otta. Keep using the Contractor, just don't play with money with him. keep your eyes open. Good luck.
Hajji M. tnks bro. but I wanted to use muyesky, he quoted 60k for a door lile dis one. few months later I contacted him for burglary proof he wanted 13k for the 6x4 one. maybe he is too busy so he dey use style drive potential customers. |

mufutau55: That is good price for the work, where is the project, that will factor into the price too.. Mine is in Lagos - more labor cost. (Sample of one of the window burglary 6x4ft is shown below)
Hajji M. mine is ogun state agbara. Am getting paranoid about my contractor, the pple dat introduced him to me have been telling me to stop using him, dat he is dubious. but am yet to see a substantial issue wit him although 100k miss one time Here is the door he bought for 45k. I think its beautiful.

mufutau55: They are made of 1 inch pipes.... The bigger one and the small one are both N60,000 for the sets. I paid N120,000 for for the two sets. So the Charges are in pair... but he said N40,000 for bigger sizes and N20,000 for the smaller ones. Bigger size is 11 x 8ft and the smaller size is 4 x 8ft.
My Window Buglary proofs (also 1 inch pipes) are: 6x4ft = N10k 5x4ft = N8k 4x4ft = N7k 2ft 6ins x 2ft = N3k
The total I did with him for window guards was around N106k, and I just paid him N100k even. The same Welder did the Windows Buglary, Verandah Burglary and Iron Kitchen Exit doors (N15k each) Hajji M. tnx for ur response. my contractor said mine is 45k for for the verandah burglary proof, he is using 1.5inch, after seeing urs am going to ask him to use 1inch. my windows 6x4 and we paid 7,500 naira total 170k for both flats |
