 , ooops, b e b e,  did the church fold up eventually?

No bagoma............I asked God for forgiveness on their behalf because I figured they didn't know any better undecided

Isley Brothers? don't think I remember their songs but are they the guys that did a song about  "Mary"

"Take a message to Mary, but don't tell her where I am.........."
Naw, I don't ever recall them singing a song with those lyrics, but don't quote me on that because I am no music guru

They sang tunes like...................

The Blacker the Berrie (A.K.A. Black Berries),Sensuality,Don't Say Goodnight (It's Time for Love).........just to name a few.

One of the Isley Brothers (Ron Isley) actually does songs featuring R. Kelly.

Hope that helps!

I confess..............I like my Nigerian friend, but I will never tell him lipsrsealed

I confess I could miss out on a good man because of being lipsrsealed

I confess that I value our friendship too much to pursue him.........my loss sad

I confess that I am crazy about Nigerian men now...............however............

I confess that I am not sure how Nigerian men perceive American women; therefore, I don't approach them.

I confess that ocho is the first person I met on NL and she interprets pigdin for me tongue*high fives her*

Isley Brothers-Between The Sheets<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Can you believe someone played this at a church wedding back in the day? I was like shocked and was hoping that the church itself wouldn't fold. They should have saved that one for the reception hall grin

RomanceRe: Dating a White Lady (or Man) by bebe6(f): 3:05am On Jan 21, 2006
Interracial dating is quite common in the US, but I will NEVER date a white man. Besides, why choose table scraps when I can have filet mignon! I love my KINGS and will be down for them and only them for life!

Am I racist? No, but I have been subjected to it all my life living in the south. Does this have anything to do with my decision? Absolutely not! I just LOVE my black men and will never disrespect them by dating someone who has such insulent thoughts about the black male in general.

IF IT AIN'T BLACK, SEND IT BACK!

Objection! Whose accent would I listen to if all the Nigerian men go back home after studying abroad cry

There are quite a few Nigerians at the university I attend and I just love to hear them speak. I could just sit around them all day, but then they might think I'm kind of weird if I do that undecided Ha! Ha!

I'm all for you (male/female) going back to your country to contribute and give back if that's what your heart desires...........good luck!

Anyway.....................LONG LIVE THE ACCENTS!

RomanceRe: Confused: Problems In A Long-Distance Relationship by bebe6(f): 3:49pm On Jan 18, 2006
I too was in a long distance relationship at one time. It took the both of us working together to make the relationship continue to grow; however, the downfall in it all was the expense behind traveling to see one another. We just came to a mutual agreement that we would just be friends. Right today...we have a beautiful friendship! Whatever you decision might be, please make sure that in the end you are happy. Please don't spend a lifetime waiting because there could be someone right under your nose that will bring you even more joy. Pray about what you should do and when you get your answer....don't hesitate. Good luck!

RomanceRe: Ladies: Would You Marry a Younger Man? by bebe6(f): 9:44pm On Jan 16, 2006
This should read:

So, in response to the question at hand, yes I would marry a younger man in a heart beat.

(Excuse the typo embarassed)

First timer...so will you excuse me? LOL!
RomanceRe: Ladies: Would You Marry a Younger Man? by bebe6(f): 9:41pm On Jan 16, 2006
Actually, I have dated both older men and younger men. It's been my experience that I have had enjoyable relationships with both age groups. However, I prefer to date younger men wink So, in response to the question at hand....yes I would marry a younger man in a heart beat. Is it about maturity? Is it about intellect? Is it about love? Yes, each of these things play an intricate part in the relationship; however, love should be the ultimate foundation in which to build the relationship.

Trust me, the whole maturity thing is overrated because there are older men that approach women who have yet to grow up and are quite immature...vice versa...there are younger men who need to re-evaluate their maturity when approaching women.

Truly, if you spend time speaking with someone you will know if that person is on your level and if their qualities (be it...maturity, intellect, morals...etc) are something you want to explore further. It's all about what you as a person seeks because in the end you should be happy and left with no regrets.

smileyGood luck to everyone as you navigate through this rugged terrain we call........dating...lol smiley
