FamilyRe: Addresing Hubby's Toilet Manners! by bebrief(m): 11:19pm On Jul 26, 2015
It's funny @EfemenaXY, you still don't get the point of @OP's question, rather you're asking my relationship with OP. Maybe you need to read her question properly. Sometimes it's important you give advice within the context of the question. And most importantly either from experience or with a personal example to buttress your point. And you seem not to have done so.

I am very familiar with such a situation, that is why I have a better understanding of what form of advise to give to @OP based on the question. As a person, I value personal hygiene very much and I also understand that the result you derive from any given situation is dependent on the manner by which it is approached.

@Pidggin, I guess you rather stick with your response to @Kimoni's question. And I wonder if that will be the same answer you will give to your sister if she is in the same situation.
FamilyRe: Addresing Hubby's Toilet Manners! by bebrief(m): 10:20pm On Jul 26, 2015
@EfemenaXY, if you actually have a man in your life, then you will learn how to get him change his habits. Till then or if you care to know, you need to understand that no man is perfect! I can assure you that many men have worse habits. And if you're concerned about the newborn, I can assure you the habit won't last long if the issue is approached in a more subtle manner.

@Pidggin, the OP never mentioned not flushing poo, I guess you're just spicing things up to make the situation look so terrible. And I do think if the toilet is that stinking then the man will also find it uncomfortable. As a matter of fact, toilets are meant to be disinfected regularly provided they are in use.
FamilyRe: Addresing Hubby's Toilet Manners! by bebrief(m): 8:25pm On Jul 26, 2015
@EfemenaXY, I am compelled to ask if you are a female, and if you are, then you either have never been pregnant or you've never experienced morning sickness. And I believe the OP must have gone thru some early stages of pregnancy since she has a baby. For some women who suffer from extreme morning sickness syndrome, it's "most disgusting" for their husbands to say the least. Some women practically carry a spittle bottle in their bags everywhere they go, and same gets littered around the house and by bedsides for emergency use. Also, the nausea and vomiting can be sickening to anyone around for as long as it lasts, sometime throughout the pregnancy. I doubt if their husbands pick so much offence. That is why I believe that the habit of the OP's husband can simply be judged as a reflex one, which only needs a continuous gentle persuasion to be dropped.

And are you seriously scared of getting meningitis from your husband's spittle, as referenced in your article? Do you really think you wouldn't contact more from a man you have unprotected sex with, whose bodily fluid you absorb from the act both thru kissing and with whom you share the same bed plus other personal belongings? If you are so scared of your husband's spittle on the bathroom infecting you, then you really need a reality check if you're actually married. As much as the habit is undesirable, it is one that can be handled with love and respect to achieve a desired result.
FamilyRe: Addresing Hubby's Toilet Manners! by bebrief(m): 12:54pm On Jul 23, 2015
I really don't think any sensible man will spit on the bathroom floor without pouring water to rinse it or bathing to do so therafter, and I really don't believe any decent man will pee on the bathroom floor without rinsing it if there is water to do so. That is why I believe you're only trying to shade the story to defend yourself from not acting like a loving wife that you should be! You will find it hard convincing anyone that your husband does not have his baby's interest at heart or he enjoys the smell of a filthy room. That is why I advise you head the advise of @5minsmadness and emulate the subtle example of @dyt if really your intentions is to get results or a change of attitude from him. Moreover, you admit to having your own bad habit which he gently reminds you of. And if you know he had such "disgusting" habits, why marry him in the first place? You don't change a man by force, it's done with love. And this is the least of problems some families have, that is why I advise you show some respect to the man who took you to the altar, and whom you promised to love for better for worse.

SportsRe: A Nigerian's Open Letter To Oscar Pistorius. by bebrief(m): 5:02pm On Feb 27, 2013
coogar: if they cannot prove he committed murder then pistorius would be acquitted of the murder charge. the burden of proof lies with the prosecutors. when there's no damning evidence, how do you convict?
And if a good prosecution is able to do the right thing by putting the facts together and he is found guilty of pre-meditated murder, I hope you would be humble enough to accept the verdict in good faith.

I can assure you if he (Pistorius) is found innocent of the crime, I am most willing to accept and respect the court's verdict in good fate.

But for now, let us mourn the late Reeva whose life was cut short in a classical case of domestic gun violence in high places!
SportsRe: A Nigerian's Open Letter To Oscar Pistorius. by bebrief(m): 11:32pm On Feb 26, 2013
coogar: what procedures.....
a suspected murdered ought to have been tested for all sorts. police test drivers for alcohol or drugs and yet they ought to follow procedures to test a man who is suspected to have murdered his own girlfriend? come on - gimme a break!!!! unless the police are working for pistorious, they ought to have tested him for all sorts.....it's a standard practise especially when they claim his story doesn't add up.
Even if the police are working for Pistorius or they present a weak prosecution, does that in any way exonerate him (Pistorius) of the crime?
SportsRe: A Nigerian's Open Letter To Oscar Pistorius. by bebrief(m): 11:25pm On Feb 26, 2013
coogar: i doubt he murdered her. shooting her does not mean he murdered her. go and learn the difference between murder and manslaughter?

because unlike you, i don't attach emotions to critical issues. reeva is dead, may her soul rest in peace. however, reeva's death does not make pistorius a murderer. he's guilty of manslaughter and the illegal possession of a firearm - charge him for that and stop the charade already.
These are the English definitions of the verb "murdered" my friend!

v. mur·dered, mur·der·ing, mur·ders

v.tr.

1. To kill (another human) unlawfully.

2. To kill brutally or inhumanly.

3. To put an end to; destroy: murdered their chances.

4. To spoil by ineptness; mutilate: a speech that murdered the English language.

5. Slang To defeat decisively; trounce.

coogar: and until we are sure of what the content is pistorious is innocent! it's innocent until proven guilty, stop using your village mentality that he's guilty before he's proved innocent! you are arguing against logic!
Do you doubt the fact that Mr Oscas Pistorius murdered his girlfriendhuh If you do, then it's a shear waste of time discussing with you!

And I am amazed how you have never mentioned the late Reeva in your entire "argument", which I pass for as baseless. I can't but wonder how people, like you, have so less a regard for human life... shocked
SportsRe: A Nigerian's Open Letter To Oscar Pistorius. by bebrief(m): 6:53am On Feb 25, 2013
coogar: Botha was forced to admit he could not be certain of the contents of the boxes he found.

Roux said it was a "herbal remedy" called testo-compositum co-enzyme used by many athletes, insisting: "It is not a steroid and it is not a banned substance."

The state prosecutor's office later said there was an error in the detective's testimony when he identified the substance as testosterone. However, the substance is still undergoing laboratory tests.
Can't you see that detective Botha is forced to admit he could not be certain of the contents. But at least he was certain of the label on the boxes. And how dumb is it of you to believe hook line and sinker the words of Pistorius's lawyer, who obviously will say anything to exonerate his client from a potentially damaging blow on his athletic career.

Until proper tests is carried out on the substance, you are never sure of it's content, even your claim of herbal remedy is still unconfirmed. The only credible claim is what Botha read on the label of the boxes, and if the label is different from it's content, then so be it.

And listen, I really don't care what the content of the boxes are, my concern is about the cold-blooded and cruel murder which he has committed.

Stop condoning evil my friend!
SportsRe: A Nigerian's Open Letter To Oscar Pistorius. by bebrief(m): 12:24am On Feb 25, 2013
coogar: but botha later admitted what he saw wasn't testosterone - he said he did not read the label. when tests were conducted, it was later revealed what was found was a herbal medicine. why are you bringing out unsubstantiated rumours and ignoring what was mentioned in the courtroom?
Listen up young man! The substance hasn't been tested to know what it truly is. We've only heard from Pistorius's lawyer who claims it is “coenzyme testocompasutium”, whereas Detective Warrant Officer Hilton Botha testified that he recovered two boxes of testosterone and needles in a search of Pistorius's home.

"Later, a spokesman for South Africa’s National Prosecution Agency told the Associated Press that it was too early to identify the substance, which was still being tested. ”It is not certain [what it is] until the forensics.” Medupe Simasiku said, adding that it wasn’t certain if it was “a legal or an illegal medication for now.”

Pls read your news properly!

However, this is not the issue at stake. This is a case of premeditated murder my friend!
SportsRe: A Nigerian's Open Letter To Oscar Pistorius. by bebrief(m): 12:00am On Feb 25, 2013
coogar: if it's not an anabolic steroid or a controlled substance, why is the herbal medicine an issue then?
"A South African policeman testified on the second day of a bail hearing that testosterone and needles were found at the home of Oscar Pistorius, the double-amputee track star accused of killing his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day.

Detective Warrant Officer Hilton Botha testified that two boxes of testosterone and needles were recovered in a search of Pistorius's home in a gated community after Steenkamp was shot to death through the locked door of a bathroom."

http://m.washingtonpost.com/blogs/early-lead/wp/2013/02/20/oscar-pistorius-police-say-testosterone-needles-were-found/

The issue is actually about one Oscar Pisterious who murdered his girlfriend in cold blood on the early hours of Valentine's day, by shooting her four times in the bathroom.

South Africa: Oscar Pistorius uses testosterone to boost his libido

The testosterone found in the home of Oscar Pistorius is actually incentives for better performance in bed, revealed Dr Jon Patricios, Sports doctor.

The product called “coenzyme testocompasutium” is herbal, as has confided the lawyer of the athlete.

According to Dr Patricios, this product is commonly used to fight against the signs of sexual energy, but athletes are cautioned not to use it because it can also increase their testosterone levels. “It is not an anabolic steroid, and it is likely that it causes irrational anger,” said Patricios. A urine sample of Pistorius is also under a laboratory test in Bloemfontein.

Pistorius is accused of murdering his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp. His trial is scheduled to begin in June.
Double post
Testosterone was found in his home my friend! That was the initial eye-witness report of the labeling on the drug pack, before the story was modified to suit his interest by the authorities claiming inability to clearly read the label! Check your news.

And if you think he was so terrified, what brings him 1.5m to the bathroom door? Why couldn't he flee or go in hiding if he thinks someone was in the bathroom, rather than going to confront a potentially armed intruderhuh

The fact that an incompetent prosecution is still unable to put up a good investigation and argument to nail him does not make him any less guilty, whereas the trial is yet to commence.

It's either you are telling me you're so gullible to be fooled by some cock and bull Pisterious story, or you're simply out of touch with reality. How can you explain the glaring inconsistencies in his excuses for unintended murder? If you have the answers, which I doubt you do, then answer my questions 1-4.

However, we shall wait till a verdict is passed!

You watched the full sentence? He's be sentenced already? And here I was thinking it was only a bail hearing!

1) He said it was very dark and the lights where off, besides recall his outburst in the last paralympics when he came second? And his apology after he had cooled down? He seems like someone that acts before thinking.

2) He claims he called out before he fired the first shot.. There's no one to confirm or deny this.

3) He stood up to close the screen door before he heard noises coming from the bathroom, and he remembered that some workers had worked in his home earlier had left ladders outside (did the prosecution say there was no ladder found outside?)

4) The so called witness was about 600 yards (six football fields) away at the time. can you really rely on testimony from someone that was so far away?

I still am undecided as to his guilt or innocence. So far the prosecution haven't really presented a case, and the onus is on them to prove that he is guilty.

I expect them to ask questions like why he didn't call the police or ambulance immediately? When the guards called him, why did he say everything was 'all right'?? Why did he call the manager of the estate first?? These are questions that's should be answered. Every other issue can be explained away!

It's a bail hearing and not a sentence, that's an obvious typo.

1. It was dark and the lights went off, but he was able to search for his gun but couldn't locate his girlfriend lying on the same bedhuh

2. He claimed to have called out and what response did he get? Then he fired not one, not two, not three shot and still got no responsehuh

3. What kind of strange noise could be coming from the bathroom except that of someone using the toilet or the shower? What other strange noices could he have heardhuh How strange he was quick to remember that workers had earlier worked in his home but could not remember his girlfriend who was spending the nite with him on an early Valentine morning.

4. You should have heard that the prosecutors confirmed the witness to have been at a 300m distance (not 600). Whether they were 300 or 600m away, they could clearly hear some arguments from his home at that time of the nite. And who was he talking with? He clearly has no answers!

Regardless of whom he called first, this is a cold-blooded and heartless murder by some disabled and mentally unstable man! Probably he might have been on some drugs, maybe Testosterone found with him - if that affects him adversely.

We have to wait till June to hear what new explanations he has to give!
