APC can win Election without Imo state so expelling him would be no big deal. it wont be the first time political parties have expelled bigwig for taking the party to court . |
This scenario playing out in Imo state is reminisce of 2007 elections but the the only difference is that at the time senator Ararume had clearly won the primaries. I was a delegate at that primaries it was tedious and extremely transparent .There were no parallel candidate but due to certain leaders of the party lead by the outgoing governor at the time not accepting his candidature they went to Abuja and got his name substituted for Charles Ugwu who did not even participate in the primaries . Ararume then went to court and won. but the party leaders were not happy with him for taking the party to court expelled him from the party. The party leaders led by president Obasanjo then came to Owerri and addressed us and announced to us that that the party has no candidate and we should go vote and any one of our choice. APGA led by martin Agbaso took advantage and got a lot of support leading up the election. After the election when it was obvious the Agbaso had won the election before the results were official announced Okigwe zone leaders rushed to Maurice Iwu the Inec chairman who was from Okigwe zone himself told him that he cannot allow result to stand as that whatever the case the governor must come from Okigwe zone . He then instructed the Inec state returning officer to cancel the election. The PDP sate leadership then called members to meeting in state headquarters in Owerri leading to the bye election and informed us to go and vote PPA for that’s how Ihedi OKakim became governor. so relating this to what is transpiring today. while APC are still dilly-dallying with their candidate it has given the upper hand to PDP ‘s Emeka ihedioha on the basis that he has still maintained his structure from his previous campaign four years ago. Zoning also favours him. There are a lot of APC members who do not want Uche Nwosu at the same time do not want Hope Uzodinma . |

Angel Exford shopped her ex to the police after finding out he stole her money to take his new girlfriend to Paris. The 29-year-old's friends went to the airport with the police to confront Michael Fehsenfeld, 26, just before he was due to fly. He was arrested and in October was convicted of fraud - but Angel's ordeal hasn't ended there. Fehsenfeld, from Milton Keynes, has gone on to brag about his crimes and has even recorded a song called #FraudBae. The video for the song was uploaded onto YouTube on Sunday and has since racked up 62,000 views. "I wasn't surprised he did this. He's quite a brazen guy. It didn't bother me at all. "I feel like he's mocking the whole situation. He's committed a crime. He's a thief and he's basically glamorising crime which I don't think is cute at all. "I don't condone this music video at all. At the same time he's trying to save face, he's trying to salvage the situation. "This is a coping mechanism for him I think."Angel dated Fehsenfeld for around two months and during a night out he claimed he'd lost his wallet so he borrowed her card to pay for their drinks. She says he promised to pay her back but didn't get in touch and the pair stopped talking. A couple of weeks later she noticed random transactions on her bank statements. "It turns out he's the guy that was using my card. He paid for a trip to Paris, hotel, he paid his phone bill," she says. "He even sent his girlfriend flowers from my card to her workplace."Angel made a group chat with her friends titled #fraudbae where they gathered all the evidence. She reported it to the police and officers went to the airport where he was arrested. |
Believe sahara reports at your peril. |
Republic of Ireland boss Martin O'Neill will not rush Michael Obafemi into a decision on his international career. The Southampton player is training with the Republic squad ahead of Thursday's friendly against Northern Ireland. Obafemi, 18, can also play for England or Nigeria and will not feature in the Nations League visit to Denmark on 19 November as he considers his future. It mirrors the stance of West Ham's Declan Rice, who has asked for time to ponder a switch to play for England. Obafemi was born in Dublin to Nigerian parents and moved to London as a child but the forward could make his international debut in the friendly against Northern Ireland without committing his future to the Republic. "I haven't spoken to his parents but I've spoken to him," said O'Neill. "He's enjoyed the training and has done really well. I think he's really enjoyed it but, in terms of decisions, I think that's a bit off. "He's got things to think about. I wouldn't be rushing him." |

An FCT High Court, Bwari, on Tuesday adjourned hearing in the Imo state All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primaries tussle indefinitely. The presiding Judge, Justice Othman Musa announced the adjournment after reading a petition against his proceedings, signed by one Bisike Chinaka, Deputy Chairman of the party in the state. He said that the petitioner alleged that he showed bias and favoritism in the proceedings of the matter before it, while accusing the court of granting orders in favour of Sen. Hope Uzodima, who is a party in the matter. Musa, after reading out the petition, explained that he would not be able to proceed with the matter, while adding that since the petition was copied to the Chief Judge of the FCT, Justice Ishaq Bello, he would however, await the reaction of his boss. The petition, he said, was dated October 22. It reads: “Following the cancellation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the party’s candidate for the 2019 Imo State Governorship Election, on 4th October, 2018, Senator Hope Uzodinma filed an action against the APC and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).” The matter was assigned to his Lordship Othman Musa of Court 13, Bwari Judicial Division . ” On the 5th of October, 2018, his Lordship made an order that the parties should show cause why the said exparte application should not be granted. “Therefore, Ugwunba Uche Nwosu also initiated an action in relation to the said primary election for APC candidate for the 2019 Imo Governorship Election and matter was assigned to his Lordship Valentine Ashi of Court 23, Apo Judicial Division. ” His Lordship granted an Interim Order of Injunction on 9th October, 2018 against APC and INEC to the effect that they must respectively send and receive Ugwumba Uche Nwosu’s name as the party’s candidate for the election. “Unfortunately since this order was made, we have noticed that the proceedings before you which we have keenly watched, appeared to be skewed in favour of Hope Uzodinma instead of both parties being treated equally. ” For instance, the court is always referring to the order to show cause granted in favour of Hope Uzodinma, while ignoring the others made in favour of Ugwumba Uche Nwosu as though the latter orders were made by an inferior court. “We strongly accuse you of bias and unable to discharge the oath of your office as such recuse Yourself forthwith and remit the case file to the Chief Judge”.
