Politics › Shake Up Looms At DSS As President Buhari Decides Acting DG's Fate. by BeeBeeOoh(op): 6:46am On Aug 15, 2018 |
...President to determine who will occupy the office as he returns on monday
...Seiyefa due for retirement in July 2019
...Daura yet to officially hand over to Seiyefa. There were indications in Abuja, on Tuesday, that the Department of State Services might soon carry out a massive deployment of its personnel across the country, The PUNCH has learnt.
The expected transfer, according to reliable sources, would affect some state directors and those said to be manning what a security source described as “strategic positions.”
Investigations by our correspondent showed that the transfer might come as soon as President Muhammadu Buhari returns to Nigeria from London, where he is on holiday.
His arrival, according to investigations, will also determine the fate of the Acting Director-General of the agency, Mr Mathew Seiyefa.
Seiyefa, who hails from Bayelsa State, was named as the new helmsman for the secret police after the shocking sacking of the erstwhile DG, Mr lawal Daura by the Acting President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo (SAN ), on Tuesday.
Osinbajo asked Daura to hand over to the most senior officer of the agency before he was handed over to the Police.
Daura, it was learnt, is currently under a house arrest and is being guarded by riot policemen.
He had yet to officially hand over to Seiyefa.
Our correspondent gathered that some state governors were believed to have compromised some state directors of the agency.
It was learnt that there was no way the Federal Government would allow such directors to stay in such states as the nation prepares for the 2019 general elections.
A source, who was privy to the complaint of some of the affected states, said that top politicians who felt that Daura was working against their interest would use the opportunity of his removal to demand the deployment of such directors.
Besides, security sources said that it was also in the interest of the government to deploy new officers to the states ahead of the elections.
One of the security sources said, “Naturally, the leadership of the agency has to appraise the operational readiness of each state for the elections.
“Then, it will also look at the time a particular director has stayed in a state and check the criminal record under such officer when he arrived there. These are factors that will also play some roles in whether he would stay or not.
“You also know that the police high command, even in the eve of an election, changes its commissioner of police in states. So, we could also do that but the action may either not be publicised or carried out at such short notice.”
It was also gathered that the interests of top politicians in the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, and other major political parties may be taken into consideration while considering the transfer in the agency.
“Some politicians believe that their state governors have compromised the directors of the agency in their states and have turned them against them (the politicians).
“While the DSS is not like police where commissioners of Police in states are politically exposed, we may have to look into such complaints if they are valid. Don’t also forget that he who plays the piper, calls the tune,” the source added.
Meanwhile, it was also learnt that Seiyefa is eagerly waiting for the arrival of President Buhari to know if he would be confirmed or not.
Seiyefa, who is due for retirement in July 2019, was said to have been the stabilising factor in the agency following anger by some operatives when the government returned Daura to the agency from retirement.
It was gathered that while some were debating whether Seiyefa’s state of origin would not work against him in leading the agency in an election year, others were said to have argued that it could also be an asset.
A Presidency source said, “There are two sides to the coin. Can government trust such a man because of where he hails from and the politics there? Will he be totally loyal to the Federal Government and President Buhari?
“Yes, his state of origin and background could also be the needed credibility that will help the government. “Whatever be the case, the President will determine who will occupy the office when he returns to his desk on Monday.”
Our correspondent, however, gathered that Seiyefa might not be able to effect serious operational changes in the agency unless he is confirmed by the President. https://punchng.com/shakeup-looms-at-dss-as-buhari-decides-acting-dgs-fate/

Politics › "Make Sure National Assembly Reconvenes" - Oshiomhole Tells APC Lawmakers by BeeBeeOoh(op): 6:59pm On Aug 14, 2018 |
Adams Oshiomhole, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has called on lawmakers of the ruling party to do all within their powers to ensure that the national assembly reconvenes.
Senate President Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara adjourned plenary in July shortly after the police laid a siege to the residences of the nation’s number three citizen and Ike Ekweremadu, his deputy.
Oshiomhole, who criticised the adjournment, said it is slowing down the progress of the current administration.
He spoke at the Sheraton Hotel in Abuja during a meeting with APC senators and members of the house of representatives.
“You all know that the national assembly is billed to adjourn on Thursday and in the wisdom of presiding officer he chose to adjourn on Tuesday,” he said.
“The result is that we serious pending issues that require deliberation by the national assembly, including the approval of foreign loans without which this year budget cannot perform. The issue of supplementary appropriation for INEC and virement of budget without which INEC capacity to conduct election could be in jeopardy.
“I want to appeal to all distinguished senators and members of house of representatives by your commitment to Nigeria project , your commitment to the sustenance of democracy, you commitment in ensuring that the promises made by APC are themselves enough to compel you to do everything you can do to lawfully to get the national assembly reconvened so that these weighty national issues will be deliberated upon , appropriate decision reached so that Nigeria government is not shut down.”
The APC chairman said the only way Saraki can retain his position is to return to the ruling party but such will not happen.
He said not even the court could save the senate president because it cannot chose a leader for lawmakers.
“Going to the court and get an injunction and hang on it to purport that the matter is in court and therefore the senate cannot exercise their fundamental rights to determine their leadership they need to read that judgement by the court of appeal the matter of APC versus national assembly, excuse me if i don’t use the normal legal references because I do not claim to be a lawyer,” he said. “This morning I saw that some people claimed they are going to court to stop the senate President from being impeached. That would be an exercise in futility because the court cannot impose on the senate who leads them. It is the discretion of the senate to determine who leads them. When we get there those matter will be canvassed.
“There is no hiding place for him (Saraki) , I insist his time is up. The only way he could have probably retain that office is to decide to return but we will not be ready to welcome him. He must remain where he is and we will contribute to ensuring that he surrenders the presidency of the senate the majority party in the senate in line with the provisions of our constitution.” https://www.thecable.ng/oshiomole-asks-apc-lawmakers-to-reconvene-national-assemblyLalasticlala, Mynd44

Politics › "Saraki Senate Presidency Style Treasonable" - APC Says by BeeBeeOoh(op): 4:45pm On Aug 14, 2018 |
For failing to reconvene the Senate as requested by the Presidency, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the leadership style of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki as treasonable.
The party, which stated this in a statement issued in Abuja, however, said that the party would not spend any money to have the Senate President impeached.
The party alleged that it had discovered a plot by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senators to attack APC Senators, just as it alleged also that the Senate President was giving N100 million to woo APC Senators.
Accusing Saraki and Speaker of House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogora of not reconvening the National Assembly to consider the National Assembly budget, APC said, “As Chairman of the 8th National Assembly, Saraki’s decision not to reconvene the National Assembly done with the support of the Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara further buttresses our position that Saraki is ever ready to pursue his selfish interests over National Interest. This is another brazen display of his penchant for abuse of powers and sabotage of government, however the cost and implication.
“While Saraki and his cohorts continue to postpone their doomsday regarding the imminent Senate leadership change, the yet-to-be considered 2019 budget of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is dangerously delayed.”
“Clearly, Saraki’s actions as Senate President now bother on high treason.”
The statement, which was signed by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Yekini Nabena called on the security agencies to beef-up security around APC senators.
He said, “Our attention has been drawn to sinister plans by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to attack some All Progressives Congress (APC) Senators as part of the PDP’s desperate bid to ensure that Dr. Bukola Saraki clings to the position of Senate President.
“By this statement, we call on security agents to protect APC Senators. If any Senator is harmed, the PDP and Saraki should be held directly responsible. We call on security agencies to also closely monitor the activities of some PDP leaders including Saraki because the plan to attack APC Senators is real and imminent.
“We were informed that the plot was hatched in the private residence of a PDP leader in Maitama-Abuja on Sunday night. The meeting was attended by 15 pro-Saraki Senators including the Senate President himself.
“We learnt that the PDP expressed worry over the APC’s Senate majority and considered several options to stop the APC from taking over the Senate leadership among which is attacking some APC Senators to ensure their inability to attend legislative sittings.
“The PDP have recruited thugs for this purpose, we have now learnt.”
Elaborating on the planned attack of the APC Senators by PDP, Nabena said, “During Sunday’s meeting, the PDP Senators planned several types of attack, one of which is to lure some of them (APC Senators) out at night in the guise of inviting Senators to a political settlement meeting and thereafter instigate a violent confrontation during the meeting and unleash standby PDP thugs on APC Senators” Our source privy to the meeting informed us.
“This revelation has not come to us as a surprise because the Senate President through proxies has made several failed attempts to buy over APC Senators with N100million each.
“As a Party, we don’t believe in inducing lawmakers to achieve our legitimate goal of removing Saraki as Senate President. We will get the support of some PDP Senators to get the required 2/3 vote and impeach Saraki. We are already talking to some of PDP Senators who believe and support the direction of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration to achieve our legitimate goal.
“We reiterate our call for Saraki’s immediate resignation as Senate President. He cannot lead the APC majority Senate. But if he fails to resign honourably, we will impeach him. The PDP’s propaganda and threat of violence cannot save him.” https://newtelegraphonline.com/2018/08/saraki-senate-presidency-style-treasonable-apc/Lalasticlala, Mynd44

...Use of card reader in jeopardy
...Presidency explains action today
...Appeal Court halts arrest of INEC chairmanPresident Muhammadu Buhari has again vetoed the Electoral Act Amendment Bill 2018, citing drafting issues, which he said might affect the interpretation and application of the principal act.
According to the president in separate communications to the President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki, and the Speaker of House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, cited by THISDAY, some of the provisions of the bill would adversely affect the operations of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The president was, however, vague about the offensive provisions even as the veto meant a rejection of the use of electronic card readers for the conduct of the 2019 general election, which many political analysts said would make the nation’s electoral process cleaner.
This is the second time the president would be vetoing alterations to the electoral law. The Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, Senator Ita Enang, however, confirmed to THISDAY on phone last night that his boss declined assent to the second amendment bill for stated reasons, adding, however, that a third bill on the same subject that was passed on July 24, 2018, was pending before the president. “I will make a clear statement on it tomorrow,” he said.
Buhari had in March this year rejected the amendment to the electoral law, which altered the sequence of elections placing the National Assembly election first, followed by presidential election while governorship and state Houses of Assembly elections would hold last. “Section 25 of the principal act, may infringe upon the constitutionally guaranteed discretion of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to organise, undertake and supervise elections provided in Section 15(A) of the third statue to the Constitution;” he had said. The Court of Appeal, however, ruled earlier in the month that the National Assembly has constitutional powers to order the sequence of election.
Ironically, the rejection of the bill would now render useless and inapplicable, the president’s provisioning for purchase and upgrading of new electronic card readers for the INEC as part of the N242 billion 2019 election budget. The Supreme Court had ruled that while the card reader and other electronic devise would enhance the transparency of the electoral system, it was, however, not part of the electoral law.
It was in an attempt to legalise the devise that the federal legislature decided to codify and include it in the electoral law. “We see this as not only disingenuous but hypocritical for a president who won election following introduction of card readers but has now turned around to reject it. What is he (Buhari) afraid of,” a ranking lawmaker said out of frustration Monday.
“Remember, he rejected the first bill because of sequence of election. We then decided to remove it from the bill and all other concerns the president raised, and we sent the bill with the hope that he will sign it since these concerns have been addressed,” he said.
Appeal Court Halts Arrest of INEC Chairman
In a related development, the Court of Appeal, Abuja Division has ordered a stay of execution of the warrant of arrest on Chairman of INEC, Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu, pending the determination of his appeal. Justice Stephen Pam of the Federal High Court in Abuja, had on August 1, 2018, ordered for the arrest of Yakubu, following his absence in court on three different occasions, to show cause why he should not be committed to prison over his alleged disobedience to the order of the court.
Justice Pam, also in a short ruling on August 8, reaffirmed the order, when Yakubu on the last adjourned date failed to show up. His counsel, Chief Adegboyega Awomolo (SAN), had informed the court that Yakubu was not in court as a result of the appeals he filed at the appellate court challenging the court’s jurisdiction to entertain the contempt charge, the legality of the charge as well as the arrest order.
The INEC chief in the notice of appeal claimed that Justice Pam acted in bad faith in the issuance of the arrest order because he had already filed a pending appeal against the order and the attention of the judge drawn to the appeal.
When the matter came up yesterday, counsel to the INEC chief, told the court that he had filed an application challenging the judgment of the lower court as well as its jurisdiction to hear the matter, adding that the application was supported by a further affidavit dated August 10, praying for the appellate court to make five orders in favour of his client. Awomolo said if the appeal was not heard by the time the court would be sitting in September, his client would have been sent to prison, adding that the lower court was bent on sending Yakubu to jail.
However, counsel to the respondents, Mr. Goddy Uche (SAN), insisted that the trial was yet to reach the stage where Yakubu could be jailed, adding that what the trial court was asking for was for the INEC chief to appear in court to show cause why he should not be committed to prison. He said the trial judge had been unable to deliver his ruling on the contempt charge because of Yakubu’s continued absence in court.
However, the trial could not proceed further, following the court’s decision to avoid going into the substantive matter. The three-man panel of the court of appeal, presided over by Justice Abdu Aboki, held that it would be better for the court to take the appeal and the substantive suit together.
The court in the meantime then ordered for a stay of execution of the warrant of arrest on Yakubu as well as a stay of proceedings of the matter at the trial court. The court in a short ruling held that hearing of the appeal could not go on without delving into the main suit, adding that parties were yet to file their brief of argument. The matter was, therefore, adjourned till September 17, 2018 for the hearing of the appeal and the substantive suit. https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2018/08/14/again-buhari-declines-assent-to-electoral-act-amendment-bill/amp/

Politics › Saraki Asks Court To Restrain AGF, Police IG, DSS From Unlawfully Removing Him. by BeeBeeOoh(op): 12:21am On Aug 14, 2018 |
The Federal High Court in Abuja has been asked to among others, restrain the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Department of State Services (DSS) from supporting any effort to sack Senate President Bukola Saraki through means other than that provided for under Section 50(2)(c ) of the Constitution.
The request from part of the reliefs in a suit filed on Monday by Senators Rafiu Adebayo (PDP, Kwara South) and Isa Misau (PDP, Bauchi Central) through a team of lawyers, including former Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) Kanu Agabi (SAN) and Mahmud Magaji (SAN).
The plaintiffs stated that, going by recent occurrences and utterances by some leaders of a faction of All Progressives Congress (APC), from which they had defected, they were convinced of plots to force Saraki off the Senate President’s seat by means other than that provided in Section 50(2)(c ) of the Constitution.
Section 50(2) provides: “The President or Deputy President of the Senate or the Speaker or Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives shall vacate his office…. (c) if he is removed from office by a resolution of the Senate or of the House of Representatives, as the case may be, by the votes of not less than two-thirds majority of the members of that House.”
Listed as defendants in the suit are: The Senate, the Senate President, Deputy Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawal (Senate Leader), Senator Bala Ibn Nallah (Deputy Senate Leader), Senator Emma Buacha (Deputy Minority Leader), Clerk of the Senate, Deputy Clerk of the Senate, Attorney General of the Federation, Inspector General of Police and Department of State Services (DSS).
Misau stated, in a supporting affidavit, that there was evidence of threat of constitutional breach which require the court to intervene by restraining the defendants from resorting to unconstitutional means to actualise their alleged threat and plot to unseat the Senate President following his defection to the PDP.
The plaintiffs are praying the court for, among others, an order restraining the 9th, 10th and 11th defendants, either by themselves, agents, servants, privies by whatsoever name so called from enforcing any act of the 1st, 3rd to 8th defendants purporting to have removed the 2nd defendant from office without such act being in compliance with the provisions of Sections 50(2) of the Constitution of the Fedora! Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended).
* A declaration that the President of the Senate cannot be said to have vacated his office by virtue of Section 50(2)(c) of the Constitution when he has not been removed from office by the votes of not less than two-third majority of the members of the Senate.
No date has been set for the hearing of the suit. http://thenationonlineng.net/saraki-asks-court-to-restrain-agf-ig-others-from-unlawfully-removing-him/Lalasticlala, Mynd44

Politics › Oby Ezekwesili Joins New Coalition Against APC, PDP; Reveal Agenda by BeeBeeOoh(op): 7:27pm On Aug 13, 2018 |
Mrs Oby Ezekwesili has announced that a new coalition of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) under the umbrella, Summit of the Alternatives (SOTA), was working on a political coalition to restructure Nigeria’s leadership ahead of 2019.
Ezekwesili, one of the members of the group, and convener, Red Card Movement, made this known at a news conference on Monday in Abuja.
Ezekwesili said that the move became imperative because since 1999, several political parties had exhibited a distinct lack of ideology, thereby merely using politics as a platform to seek electoral offices that translated to personal wealth.
She said that the group would partner with the other 66 political parties besides Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) to change the leadership narrative in the country.
“Nigeria’s political system and her leadership have not delivered optimal service for the people in spite of the scale of monetary, natural and human resources abundant within”, NAN quoted her as saying.
“Bereft of vision, the same class comprising generations of a decadent political elite, has undermined the quality of Nigeria’s political leadership in both military and democratic governments.
“The SOTA is in response to the security, political and socio-economic crisis that currently plague Nigeria; the Red Card Movement and other CSOs are partnering to host a gathering termed ‘Summit of the Alternatives.'”
Ezekwesili said that Nigeria was in a precarious situation and needed a sense of urgency to take action, considering the citizens demand for quality leadership.
She said that if Nigerians did not immediately fix the leadership crisis that its democracy had continued to suffer, citizens should have absolutely no basis to expect anything different from previous elections.
She said that the missing link to Nigeria’s development had always been the quality of leadership.
“So, we decided that rather than citizens waiting for the usual cyclical pattern of the candidature of poorly prepared people to govern the country at all levels of elected offices in the 2019, we, as citizens, will work together to define a pathway where the electorate, especially, will begin to think of the quality of candidates that they will be prepared to vote for.
“They will also begin early in the game to send a clear signal to our political class that we no longer want incompetent people, people without credibility or charter to rule us.’’ http://dailypost.ng/2018/08/13/ezekwesili-joins-new-coalition-apc-pdp-reveals-agenda/Lalasticlala, Mynd44

Politics › "PDP Corruption Stench Still Suffocates Nigerians" - APC Says by BeeBeeOoh(op): 1:22pm On Aug 13, 2018 |
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reminded the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that it lacks the rectitude to criticise the ruling party’s anti-corruption fight as its corruption stench still suffocates Nigerians.
Apparently replying to the request from the PDP to react to the alleged discovery of large volume of cash at the home of the sacked Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawal Daura, the APC chided the opposition party.
The statement signed by the acting National Publicity Secretary of APC, Yekini Nabena, claimed that the PDP has failed in its opposition role.
“Although the opposition in a democracy is supposed to offer constructive criticisms and proffer alternative solutions to government policies and programmes, the opposition rhetoric of the PDP is nothing but senseless noise-making, in its failed attempt to distract the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.
“In both content and context, PDP’s latest allegations on the President Buhari administration’s anti-corruption efforts should be seen for what they are: empty, baseless and diversionary.
“It is truly amazing that the party of a failed government which held the country prostrate for 16 years; stole, wasted and misappropriated our abundant resources will have the audacity to make comments on the current administration that within three years is clearing the rot left after the PDP’s misrule.
“Instead of apologising profusely for their gang rape of the nation, the PDP seeks to present itself before Nigerians in 2019 to seek a return to their stealing.
“The PDP should understand that Nigerians cannot forget in a hurry how the country was destroyed by the PDP’s gang of pen robbers.
“The PDP may wish to explain to Nigerians under which administration a State Governor who was set free in many courts in Nigeria on charges of corruption and money laundering but was tried and jailed in the United Kingdom.
“Is it not ironic that the PDP preaches about corruption in the oil sector when it in fact oversaw record pillage, maladministration and disrepair of the oil sector when it held sway.
“The PDP should remind Nigerians the circumstances under which the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), now Emir of Kano, lost his job in the bank.
“How many millions of dollars did he say was not remitted to the nation’s coffers on regular basis? The PDP may also explain the fuel subsidy scandals and how billions of the country’s funds went into private pockets; the massive seizures of properties and cash from public officers who served in the PDP Government.
“In 2015, Nigerians voted massively for the establishment of a truly progressive government to check the shocking level of impunity, corruption, disregard for the rule of law and other deplorable undemocratic practices which previously defined our national life. The APC assures all Nigerians that the President hold sacred this collective trust.
“Despite spirited efforts to discredit on-going anti-corruption efforts, the war against graft is being won. An often overlooked major achievement of the anti-corruption war is that President Buhari has brought the issue of corruption to the heart of national consciousness.
“The fact that Nigerians are talking about it means we have not accepted it as a way of life and as long as ordinary people continue to show that disdain for corruption, we would win the war sooner or later.
“Under President Buhari, the country has never had it so good. Yearly remittances by the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) have been in billions of Naira, over and above what PDP governments remitted in 16 years; increasing yearly revenue from the Customs Service; within three years and despite low oil prices, execution of massive road and rail infrastructure our foreign reserves has grown to over $47 billion- about $4billion more than that of South Africa.
“Under the administration of President Buhari, no minister will purchase bullet proof cars with public funds, nor will an oil minister junket the globe with family members in private jets at the public expense. Nigerians were taken for granted too long and have vowed enough is now enough.
“No degree of blackmail and wicked scheming will make us return to the years the locusts had eaten. We have crossed the Red Sea and have no intention to return to our ugly past.
“While the PDP and their agents attempt to discredit the ongoing fight against corruption, the question the PDP should answer is: are anti-corruption efforts being carried out within the ambit of the law?
“We urge the President, law enforcement agencies, anti-graft bodies and indeed Nigerians not to be sidetracked by the desperate and roguish attempt by the PDP and their agents to discredit the ongoing fight against corruption. It is natural, corruption will fight back!
“The assurances Nigerians can hold firm is that the APC will not fail the country like PDP’s wasted 16years. While the PDP continue to spew lies in its cheap attempt at opposition politics, President Buhari is concentrating on the important work at hand – clearing the mess and rebuilding the country in all facets,” the statement read. http://sunnewsonline.com/pdp-corruption-stench-still-suffocates-nigerians-says-apc/

But, he's ain't far from the truth because that's what Buhary, APC and their followers believe. As part of the twisted narrative, Oshiomhole, the new attack dog, has now dismissed Buhari’s critics as “saboteurs and thieves.”
How do you sabotage the saboteur? And are they not thieves simply because they stole their way into the palace instead of out of it? We all know that Oshi-Omo-Ole is suffering from mouth Diarrhea and it's also affecting his thinking This is not about the PDP, which was terrible. It is about APC, which, in three years, has proved to be infinitely more pathetic. It's more than pathetic. That's not even my problem, my problem is how a youth managed to see a nomadic octogenarian with a very IQ as someone who will make his life better or simpler. People can be stupid shaa |

Politics › 2019: President Buhari Will Not Disappoint Nigerians - APC by BeeBeeOoh(op): 11:11am On Aug 13, 2018 |
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling party would not disappoint Nigerians come 2019. The party, in a statement issued in Abuja yesterday by its spokesperson, Mr. Yekini Nabena, declared that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is not an alternative to APC.
“Nigerians were taken for granted too long and have vowed that enough is now enough. No degree of blackmail and wicked scheming will make us return to the years the locusts had eaten. We have crossed the Red Sea and have no intention to return to our ugly past.
“The assurances Nigerians can hold firm is that APC will not fail the country like PDP’s wasted 16 years. While PDP continue to spew lies in its cheap attempt at opposition politics, President Buhari is concentrating on the important work at hand – clearing the mess and rebuilding the country in all facets.” Nabena also condemned the criticism of the opposition PDP, stating that it lacks content and context.
said: “Although the opposition in a democracy is supposed to offer constructive criticisms and proffer alternative solutions to government policies and programmes, the opposition rhetoric of PDP is nothing but senseless noise-making, in its failed attempt to distract the Buhari administration.
“In both content and context, PDP’s latest allegations on the Buhari administration’s anti-corruption efforts should be seen for what they are: empty, baseless and diversionary.
“It is truly amazing that that the party of a failed government, which held the country prostrate for 16 years, stole, wasted and misappropriated our abundant resources, will have the audacity to make comments on the current administration that within three years is clearing the rot left after PDP’s misrule.”
On the alleged corruption of the past government, APC said: “Was it not under PDP’s immediate past administration that disclosures of nauseating magnitude were made?
“Instead of apologising profusely for their gang rape of the nation, PDP seeks to present itself before Nigerians in 2019 to seek a return to their stealing.
PDP should understand that Nigerians cannot forget in a hurry how the country was destroyed by its gang of pen robbers.
“PDP may also explain the fuel subsidy scandals and how billions of the country’s funds went into private pockets; the massive seizures of properties and cash from public officers who served in PDP’s government.” https://newtelegraphonline.com/2018/08/2019-buharill-not-disappoint-nigerians-apc/

Timoleon: Fact is I owe you nothing...in a bid to assume you know football you quickly assumed the previous meeting before the UCL final was won by Liverpool unknown to you that Madrid won home and away. you sarcastically asked for the results only to shoot yourself in the foot. I hope you find what you are looking for though. I have rendered the help I can. no need to thank me. @ the bolded, you are right. I forgot they met in 2015. @ the coloured, my man this is sports section not politics section where everything is fight, hauling or abuses. Gracias |
