President Buhari made it clear 2 hours ago on a private interview in Aso Rock, that fuel will be sold at 60 Naira per litter starting from Friday 22nd April, 2016. President Buhari also said that, the issue of Naira falling in value will be resolved in less than a week, he made it clear that by the time the naira issue is resolved, 60 Naira will = 1 Dollar and that will be in 3 weeks from now, it will become one Naira - one Dollar. President Buhari also said that he promised to change Nigeria at the right time and that right time is now. He also wanted to talk about corruption, but my Tv exploded immediately after he mentioned the Word, "Corruption" and that was when I woke up and discovered that it was all a Dream. I sincerely apologize for playing with your emotions... I had d same dream, but I woke up when I started peeing on the mat.. |

Quakertellicus1: PDP is not against an Igbo presidency. It is just that they are being very pragmatic. If they must win in 2019, they must win a high number of votes in the North. And if a Northern presidency does it...so be it.
Which leads me to the touchy subject of Igbo presidency. Igbo options at 2015 were to say the least spotty.
1.A GEJ win means a Northern president come 2019....meaning Igbos wait till 2027.
2.A Buhari win means a a Northern president till 2023...meaning Igbos wait till 2023.
3.Buhari loses in 2019 to a PDP Northern president...meaning wait till 2027.
The best option for Igbos is to back Buhari in 2019...and hope they get APC ticket in 2023...also hoping PDP too gies Igbis ticket in 2023.
4.Yorubas decide in 2023 that they want another shot...ie Fahsola/El Rufai (Muslim Muslim....but hey, it worked for MKO.And Fashola'ssiblings are Christian)...or Jagaban/Matan Jagaban 2023 (just kidding)....that could make things complicated.
Conclusion....Igbos back PMB in 2019 on a Pan-Nigerian ticket....and hope for a ticket come 2023. Ughelli weed must be very strong axweeaaaaa |

Ganiyat72:
If igbos should reject PDP because they were not given the presidential ticket, but rather made to be the vice president?. What then is igbos still doing in a divisive party like apc? Which considers ndigbo in apc as inconsequential, hence the tag 5% . Or the hatred and total rejection of igbos tribe by buhari, who never deem them human enough to warrant any ministerial or notable post in his cabinet.
Where then lies the senses of these morally depraved igbo political jobbers in apc?. Isn't there a saying that a half a loaf of bread is better than non?
Under pdp igbos has attained every political post in the land, except presidency, which in due time will come, if this forced marriage still remain in one piece. Apc is not for the igbos and igbos are not for apc, the earlier igbos understand this the better for them. what more can I say? May God bless you exceedingly, it is now left for those that have ears to hear.. |
Crime › Alledged N400million Fraud: I Am On Trial For Criticizing APC, Metu Tells Court. by BeeBeeOoh(op): 8:46pm On Apr 20, 2016*. Modified: 10:45pm On Apr 20, 2016 |
By Ikechukwu Nnochiri ABUJA – The embattled National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh, who is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over alleged N400million fraud, Wednesday, insisted that his trial was politically motivated.
Metuh, through a witness he produced before the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, Mr. Ike Abonyi, said his ordeal was a function of constructive criticisms he mounted on the All progressive Congress-led government, after PDP lost the 2015 presidential election.
Abonyi, who is a media consultant to the PDP, told the court that Metuh pre-empted his arrest, detention and subsequent arraignment. He said that the defendant who is answering to a seven-count charge, had expressed his fears during a press conference he held before he was summoned by the EFCC.
The witness told the court that at a point, the defendant, owing to pressure from his family members, considered quitting his position as the the spokesman of the PDP. Read more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/04/alleged-n400m-fraud-trial-criticising-apc-metuh-tells-court/ lalasticlala |

Crime › Police Vows To Rescue Enugu Auditor Abducted By Fulani Herdsmen by BeeBeeOoh(op): 3:55pm On Apr 19, 2016 |
BY FRANCIS IGATA ENUGU—The Enugu State Police Command has vowed to rescue Stephen Ogbobe, who hails from Ukpabi, Nimbo in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, abducted along Nsukka-Adani expressway, by suspected Fulani herdsmen last Saturday.
The kidnappers are demanding a ransom of N5 million for his release. Palpable tension had engulfed natives and residents of communities living along the Nsukka-Adani expressway in the council area, where dare-devil Fulani herdsmen have turned the area into a breeding ground even though the area boasts of a Senator representing the entire Enugu-North senatorial district.
The victim, had gone to his home town, in Ukpabi, in company of six others for a town hall meeting of the community, only to be kidnapped by herdsmen on his way back to Nsukka after the meeting. Investigations revealed that the herdsmen around 4pm blocked the busy Nsukka- Adani road at Ukpabi junction, waiting for unsuspecting victims to abduct.
Reports showed that the kidnappers flagged down the car conveying the six men, ordered them to lie face down, tied three out of the six, hands and legs for about 45 minutes, before untying two and then dragged the victims into the bush. Vanguard gathered that the police and local vigilante group have been patrolling the road at intervals but the herdsmen defied the security network along the road to abduct unsuspecting victims without arrest nor molestation.
When contacted, Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO,nEbere Amaraizu, nrevealed that police has gotten credible intelligence on the suspects geared towards arresting them. “We are on their trail and I can assure you that very soon, we shall apprehend them". Jobs/Vacancies › FG Bans Payment For Recruitment Forms by BeeBeeOoh(op): 3:39pm On Apr 19, 2016 |
By Emman Ovuakporie and Johnbosco Agbakwuru ABUJA- REASONS why the Federal Government banned payment for recruitment forms were on Tuesday, revealed by Director for Legal Services and Prosecution, the Federal Character Commission, FCC, Oluwatosin Bodunde.
Adeshidaa Bodunde said that government proscribed any kind of payment for forms for civil service jobs, following the March 2014 Nigerian Immigration Service ,NIS, recruitment tragedy.
She disclosed this at a one-day public hearing on two resolutions of the House of Representatives entitled: Extortion of Unemployment Seekers by Government Agencies- Recruitment Firms and Call for State of Emergency and Legislative Intervention on the Employment Crisis in Nigeria. The public hearing was conducted by the Ezenwa Onyewuchi led House Committee on Labour, Employment and Productivity.
She explained that aside from the military and the police which were given waivers due to the peculiarity of their recruitment process, the FCC had ensured that it’s August 2014 circular banning the payment for forms or scratch cards by applicants was full enforced in Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs). Also speaking at the hearing, representative of the Federal Civil Service ,FCC, Clement Assam said the commission had put in place institutional mechanisms to protect applicants from extortion. He however admitted that only a fraction of unemployed graduates can be absolved into the civil service.
In his welcome address, Onyewuchi defined unemployment to be both a social and economic problem. He noted that unemployment reduces the purchasing power of the citizens which in turn results to consequent issues including low consumption owing to lower rates of production, which ultimately hinders government’s the push for economic growth.
Earlier, Speaker Yakubu Dogara while declaring the hearing open described as highly unacceptable the fact that the unemployment rate is growing by at least 16 percent each year, with as many as 50 percent of the eligible youth said to be either unemployed or underemployed. The Speaker who was represented by Deputy Minority Whip, Binta Bello, posited that poverty and unemployment are key contributors to the rise in crime and insurgency.
He stated that the House was committed to collaborating with the Executive, the organized private sector and other critical partners to ensure success in the renewed drive of the federal government to create jobs. : http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/04/immigration-tragedy-fg-banned-payment-recruitment-forms/

Politics › NJC Sacks Gbaja-Biamila And Idris Evuti by BeeBeeOoh(op): 3:06pm On Apr 19, 2016 |
…orders deduction of their salaries from June 2015 By Ikechukwu Nnochiri ABUJA – The National Judicial Council, NJC, on Tuesday, sacked Justice O. Gbaja-Biamila of the Lagos State High Court and Justice Idris M. J. Evuti of the Niger State High Court.
Aside recommending their compulsory retirement, NJC, said it has in exercise of its power under Paragraph 21 Sub-Paragraph (d) of the Third Schedule of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended, suspended the two Justices from office with immediate effect. The council which is headed by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Mahmud Mohammed, said it took the decision at the end of a meeting it held on April 13 and 14.
NJC okayed Justice Gbaja-Biamila’s sack after it found out that he delivered judgment in a matter that was before him, twenty-two months after written addresses were adopted by all the parties and thirty-five months after the close of evidence in the suit. The council said after it investigated a petition that was lodged before it by Mr. C. A. Candide Johnson, SAN, it concluded that the action the judge took in suit No ID\1279\2007 P. K. Ojo Vs SDV & SCOA Nigeria Plc, was contrary to constitutional provisions that judgments should be delivered within a period of 90 days.
According to a statement by the Acting Director of Information at the NJC, “His Lordship did not publish a copy of judgment he delivered on 24th December, 2013 until after 40 days, contrary to the provision of the Constitution which required that a copy of the Judgment of a Superior Court of Record be given to Parties in the case within 7 days of delivery.
“That the Hon. Judge continued to hear the Suit in his Court after he had been notified of the pendency of a Motion for a Stay Of Execution at the Court of Appeal and that an appeal had been entered. ”Prior to the issuance of the first writ of attachment, the Court Registrar under the direct administration of the Hon. Judge falsely misrepresented to the Deputy Sheriff in a memo dated November 28, 2014, that there was no Appeal or Motion in the case file as at November 28, 2014.
“Meanwhile, there were two Notices of Appeal and two Summons to settle Records in the Court’s file. “That the Hon. Judge gave an Order on February 23, 2015 upon an Ex-parte application substituting the name of SDV Nigeria Ltd with Bollore Logistics Nigeria Ltd without serving the Order of substitution on the affected party or its legal representatives.
”That the Hon. Judge failed to maintain Professional competence required to preserve the integrity of the Judiciary. ”The above allegations constitute misconduct contrary to Section 292 (1) (b) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended and Rules 1.3, 3.3, 3.4 and 3.7 of the 2016 Revised Code Of Conduct for Judicial Officers Of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”.
Similarly, NJC, said it found two other judges of the High Court of Niger State, Justices Evuti and Tanko Yusuf Usman guilty of allegations that they falsified their dates of birth. It said the Judges were indicted on the basis of a petition filed against them by one Mohammed Idris Eggun.
