Nt easy to nurse a baby alone wit nobody to help,most pple dat complain of OKA in d hosp cums in wit dehydrated babies. Pls don't give agbo to ur baby, lot of children hv kidney problems now and the liver is stil too young to detoxify dose substances. Feed well, increase ur fluid intake, nurse ur baby every 2hours. If u r nt lactating well, u can supplement wit formula to allow ur baby to feed and grow well. Its well sis, enjoy ur pples company... my love to LO

He is dehydrated but I still don't know why because I eat well and I produce breast milk well well. I don tire sef. Some say don't give formula yet,some say give formula. Which one person go follow now?

I greet everyone. No be if all people suppose delay birth story. I'm so sorry.

I have a lot on my hand and as a FTM,its not been easy. I no get mama,my hubby no dey around and I cum get lazy,useless and wicked MIL.

I had to send my MIL back to her place after I suffered in her hand. I ate biscuit and tea for a week after delivery cos of my hand pain which didn't allow me cook and MIL no cook for me. now I ve left lagos for ibadan(my papa house) wen I couldn't bear the wahala alone. So please bear with me. I'm writing it in bits and hopefully by next tomorrow I will post it. Thanks fir the mentions and messages.

Please, my baby no dey belleful o. He doesnt even play at all. If he isn't sleeping then he must be eating else ba to dey scream remain. Dem say na "OKA" dey worry am which I don't know the English name but when he cries vein will show well on his head and also on his stomach and I heard it will make baby not to develop. Please help!

Good evening ladies and gentlemen, pregnant women, Co vigilante mamas and senior mamas.

I'm sorry for just coming up with this. Me wey dey always request for birth story as police dey request for #20 . Na now I know say e no easy!

My story will be in two episodes namely "At home" and "in the hospital" (na only beedam own go dey different nah )


Episode 1
It all started when I reached 37weeks I started taking long walks and as I ve already read here and some pregnancy forum too about pineapple being used to bring on labour. Na so I start to dey eat pineapple o from week 37.

Then when I was 40+5days, I was so tired of being pregnant so i decided to change from pineapple to castor oil. I trekked from ojuelegba to tejuosho that afternoon and I bought meat(orisirisi) to cook in the evening.

From people's review, they said a lot of wonderful thing about it. Then on my way home,i bounced into a pharmacy store around 4pm and bought the oil. I was afraid to use it till around 10pm when I summon courage and took a cover of the oil. I left my room and went to my neighbors shop downstairs who was helping me cook with my camp gas at the back of the shop.


She finished the stew,egusi soup and made eba for me. By 10:30pm,i started feeling uncomfortable so I decided to go back upstairs. Her daughter helped me carry the soup while I carry the eba.( never knew say I no go chop am )

I stay in the uppermost floor of a two storey building, by the time I got to the first floor na so I hold my bumbum say I wan use toilet. I couldn't climb the stairs so I knocked on my neighbors door to use their toilet. I stayed there for like 30minutes but Shit no come out. I left the toilet and went to stay in their living room.(na do labour dey start ?

I was walking up and down, standing and sitting at the same time. Entered toilet like 30times in 30 minutes . I thought I was forcing Shit to come out,not knowing I was pushing cos I couldn't control myself. I was sha feeling this urge to push. When I couldn't hold it anymore, we decided to leave for the hospital around 12pm. They assisted me to bring my things downstairs as I already showed them all I want to take. We called the cab man and we left for the hospital around 12:05.

All is fine with me and LO. We are now at home.

I never knew anything could keep me away for this long on this thread but please bear with me.

I have this "heavenly tear" which is making me go crazy. I cry when it starts to pain me sef ( I have 0 tolerance for pain). I had to manage to type this to make people relax.

I have the funniest birth story ever. Infact na 2episodes go contain am. so just give me few days to compose am. Energy to type no dey.


I no know say vigilante + tear fit make me abandon Nairaland to the extent that I hardly remember to charge my phone sef.

NB: Please, I will advise people to wait for God's appointed time and never try to induce labour with "castor oil" (opinion differs sha)

Wishing all belleful mothers a safe and stressfree delivery.


Lastly,how can my "tear" heal fast?

When I read all the messages abt everyone looking for me,i felt loved. Meaning if to say my address dey here,i would have seen delegates from pregnancy section in my house. No love pass this one my sis.

Dh never come o. Na till middle of this year (maybe may) so no kpekus kankan. He wanted to come for emergency leave of 10 days but I prefer make he add am to his annual leave. 10 days too small,i no wan go cry for airport.

please DW breastmilk refuse to come out well and we have to pump most of the time, please what can we do? We planned exclusive but as it is we might change our mind.
Secondly...please when should kpekus ministry start after delivery. Our LO will be three weeks on tuesday. Body is eager to enter that area

I travelled @ 35wks by road from abuja to osun state and back within three days for my dear cousin's engagement, the car was driven by DH cos I told him if he didn't take me I'd go to the park when he leaves home.

I don't have any medical know how but gestational sac is supposed to be seen from 5 weeks onwards, I do know it will be hard not to panic but can you check a place where they do maybe a 3D scan cos I know you'll work yourself into a frenzy trying not to worry.

one mama here during my time ate 5 pineapples in one day till she was sick of pineapples . cant remember for how many days bfor comin here to say dat it wasn't workin bt lo n behold, within d wk- she put to bed! its only for d bravehearted cos evn as pineapple is my best fruit, I cant eat d sour one nt to talk of eatin up to 5 @ a go. I tried doin d pineapple therapy bt I cldnt manage past about 2 pineapples a day & I learnt that for it to work, u gatz to consume loooots!

Although I eat like 2whole or more atimes o. U know say I dey spit so I always want to put something in my mouth so I no dey even feel say I dey eat anything. Na me dey even fear make I no go over eat as dem talk say too much of everything is bad.

Just take pineapple everyday as much as u can...I feel the quantity does not really matter. She took as low as #50 own per day. We do routine strolling for 40mins daily. We bond when we strong cuz we gist all the way.

Thanks all...as DW (clinik) as rightly given the Birth Story (BS) that's just the way it is but she didn't add when I was trying to talk to her and she shout at me twice at the delivery room. It was a great experience.
Seriously, I was crying when I heard my baby's first cry, it was tears of Joy, tears of Thanksgiving to God and tears of commitment to serving the Almighty all my life. When I went inside, I went straight to my wife and kissed her forehead then went to carry my baby. The boy look like me wella.
I want to say thank you to everybody cuz of the educating information we got from this trend.
Pineapple therapy... I felt it works for DW as she spend less than 30mins to push (after all d pre-push Drama).
This family is too much.
Big ups to everybody both male and female.
Men Respect and Care for you wife and all women in your life...dem dey try. T like I always say to you, I won't have gotten anyone better, U 2 much. I love you.

@all, I have been down as my mum is very sick. she had been to ikeja gynae department. i want her to move to luth.
she have done series of test but some said is gallbladder stone while sole said its uterine fibroid. i will post her recent abdominal test soon for our gynar to look through.

@deezou, yes it's part of the package,I also felt like dat in my first trimester.I always feel like lying on a cold floor,when I'm at work I always remove my shoes & put my legs on the cold tile, sorry dear just enjoy it for now
