cococandy: smiley thanks for your concern.
One question though: do you regret losing your faith?.
yeah sometimes t regret it alot..the worst is that i cant go back to it cos it makes me go insane (how can i go back to eating shiit after knowing that i have been eating shiit all along)...seriously ignorance is bliss sometimes and this is one of those times

EnlightenedSoul: Yh, I know sad

I simply acknowledged the fact that I don't have any faith, and that I didn't want to be hypocritical and blindly go through the motions.

I could describe myself as an agnostic. I'm not anti-religion, and I don't think I could be an atheist. My path? I don't yet know where I'm headed, and I'm no hurry to get there. Unreasonable haste is the direct road to error smiley
maybe u should join me in my OBSERVATION LAB...no label suited me so i settle to being an OBSERVER...by the way I was born a muslim too and kinda versed in islamic teachings.... read the whole volumes of sahih buhari, muslims and the hadith of dawood but then they all looked so silly to me and absurd and the so called tafsirs like the tafsir qurtubi is kinda childish.. what resonate with me a little is the work of RUMI (u could talk a look on it and if u get the chance get this book "MYSTICS of ISLAM"wink
Christianity EtcRe: Atheists. Come In Let's Discuss. by beejaay: 12:58pm On Jul 07, 2014
Martian: I'm not an atheist because I don't have a reason to affirm or deny the existence of mythical creatures.
God or Gods are only found in the myths and legends of cultures, and every god that I've ever heard of is always partial to the culture that worshipped or worship it.

As is well known, the ubiquitous nature of the three desert religions is the result of wars, slavery and colonialism.
After performing the resurrection trick in ancient Israel, Jesus didn't crawl out of another virgin's a$$ in Umuahia and repeat the trick for the Igbos. No! Some europeans had to get the story first, then bring it to Africa at the point of a sword. Likewise, the Europeans didn't know about a God named Chukwu before they met the igbos.

Each story about a god sounds as far fetched as the next, so why place one culture on a pedestal and call their bullshit story factual??

Afterall, Obatala created humans from the mud in Ile-Ife, Yahweh created the first human from mud in the Garden of Eden, Zeus and the Olympians lived on Mt. Olympus, which just happens to be the biggest mountain known to the ancient Greeks.

Why should I consider Yahweh a Jewish myth, Zeus a Greek myth but Obatala has the creator of the world and everything we see?

Why do people take Obatala as a god created in the minds of ancient Yoruba spiritualists and why do people view the Greek gods as creations of clever Greek writers; but Yahweh is not the creation of some ancient Jews??

In my opinion,if there is a being responsible for what we call the universe, that being would be out of the scope of our intellectual abilities. We won't be able to discern its existence unless it makes itself or themselves known.
lovely put brother... to add to ur wonderful piece..if there is such a being, it will beyond existence cos as far as i know existence is for that which is governed by time and space
Christianity EtcRe: Should I Forgive Satan? by beejaay: 7:30am On Jul 03, 2014
Bvsteph: Yes, i know this is a bizarre question, and am sure you are wondering why i would even ask such. But occasionally, some thoughts come to one's mind and you find yourself wondering why some things are the way they are.

I have thought about issues like this since i was a lot younger, things like, what would happen if satan repents, why is there even hell, why can't we all just go into extinction...you know all those kindof stuff

....Should I forgive satan?....Should we forgive satan? Mark 11:25, 1 Cor 13, Luke 6:37 and so many other bible passages talk about love and forgiveness...The bible also talks about forgiving 70 times 7 times. So why can't we forgive satan? There are some people that literally worship satan and they don't even know. Let me explain, whatever/whoever you hate or do not forgive, has power over you, the person cages you and you do not even know it. At the mention of the person's name you just get angry and think of all the wrong the person has ever done. Without even realizing it, the person has the ultimate power over you, controls your thoughts, your way of life and so many other things. Forgiveness on the other hand sets you free.

Christ teaches us about love. How can a religion so deeply rooted in love, have a strong and passionate hate for another...be it angel or man. So many Churches hate satan so much so that the entire church service is dedicated to him. They do not say one sentence without calling his name. They virtually don't even have time for any other thing apart from "Satan fall down and die"

So what exactly are my questions?

Questions

1. Why can't we just forgive Satan each time he hurts us, instead of carrying him in our mind and sending him to the bottomless pit...like he still wouldn't go there?...Should we forgive satan?

2. Is it possible to forgive someone and not hate the person....is it possible to love satan?

3. Can we add satan in our prayers regularly and ask that God have mercy on him and that he comes to repentance?....Is that not what True 'Love' is? To love without reason....Unconditional, Selfless, Agape Love?
continue keeping an open mind and before u know it everything will dissolve in your mind and ur eyes will clear to see absurdity everywhere and u realize only u have the answer you seek....

Bvsteph: There are some people that literally worship satan and they don't even know. Let me explain, whatever/whoever you hate or do not forgive, has power over you, the person cages you and you do not even know it
i love this your observation... free from desire and see the hidden mystery (free from hate and see the stupidity hate comes with)

FOLYKAZE: Lol . . .you still dey watch?

Analyze my definition and show me where it wrong. Then we can proceed. Hence, I don finish my case.

The source of supernaturals is God (defined as natural forces, energy and forces; from the naturalistic pantheism angle).

I don finish. . . .objection or make I waka?
u define God as natural forces!!!!!!!
why not supernaturalforces instead of natural forces and why not supernaturalistic pantheism instead of naturalistic pantheism...

the point is your definition of God didnt even recognize anything super.... just because we cant explain something now doesn't makes it super, it only means we are ignorant of it now

or will u say prof. Pela is a super human just becuase he performed magic which i dont understand how and cant do it myself huh

IslamRe: Why Do Muslims Pray 5 Times A Day? by beejaay: 11:50am On Jul 02, 2014
lanrexlan: Says the scholar that is very skilled in the anatomy of the Qu'ran! But Seriously what's your problem? People following it are not complaining and here you are crying over what doesn't concern you.Why taking parecetamol for people's headache? Being an hatetheist is a bad thing.

Allah says in the glorious Qu'ran inSurah Ar-Rum 30;17-18 -So glorify Allâh,when you come up to the evening and when you enter the morning. And His are all the praises and thanks in the heavens and the earth, and (glorify Him) in the afternoon and when you come up to the time, when the day begins to decline.
When you come to the evening, simply means offer Magrib and Ishai prayers, evening means the time between afternoon and night. The verse continues and says 'when you enter the morning' i.e. Offers Fajr prayer.
The next verse says glorify Allah in the afternoon i.e. Asr prayer and when day begins to decline i.e. Zuhr prayer.
So that's the 3 in your interpretation abi

So in your feeble mind Mr scholar, you are looking for the verse in the Qu'ran that says 'These ar the 5 daily prayers muslims should offer'.I shake my head for you
u are funny bro, am not an athetheist or whatever u call it check my signature

and to your post, the Quran clearly highlighted Morning, Afternoon and Evening... u are the one breaking evening to Magrib and ishai (show us magrib and Ishai in the Quran) and breaking afternoon to Suhr and Ashr (show us suhr and Ashr in the Quran)...since u break afternoon and evening prayer in two each, why not break morning prayer into two alsohuh

here are Quran verses for you to buttress my point

Quran 24:58 O you who believe! Let your legal slaves and slave-girls, and those among you who have not come to the age of puberty ask your permission (before they come to your presence) on three occasions; before Fajr (morning) prayer, and while you put off your clothes for the noonday (rest), and after the 'Ishâ' (late-night) prayer. (These) three times are of privacy for you, other than these times there is no sin on you or on them to move about, attending (helping) you each other. Thus Allâh makes clear the Ayât (the Verses of this Qur'ân, showing proofs for the legal aspects of permission for visits, etc.) to you. And Allâh is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

Quran 2:238 Guard strictly AsSalawât (the prayers) especially the middle Salât (i.e. the best prayer 'Asr). And stand before Allâh with obedience [and do not speak to others during the Salât (prayers)]

also

and if you want to start using hadith to rationalize prayers think of the below Quranic verses

Quran 6:114 [Say (O Muhammad SAW)] "Shall I seek a judge other than Allâh while it is He Who has sent down unto you the Book (The Qur'ân), explained in detail." Those unto whom We gave the Scripture [the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] know that it is revealed from your Lord in truth. So be not you of those who doubt.

Quran 6:38 There is not a moving (living) creature on earth, nor a bird that flies with its two wings, but are communities like you. We have neglected nothing in the Book, then unto their Lord they (all) shall be gathered.

Quran 45:6 These are the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, revelations, etc.) of Allâh, which We recite to you (O Muhammad SAW) with truth. Then in which speech after Allâh and His Ayât will they believe?

Quran 2:170 When it is said to them: "Follow what Allâh has sent down." They say: "Nay! We shall follow what we found our fathers following." (Would they do that!) Even though their fathers did not understand anything nor were they guided?

Quran 20:52 [Mûsa (Moses)] said: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord, in a Record. My Lord is neither unaware nor He forgets, "(if u think Quran is not detailed enough and needs hadith to be explained)

quran 44:58 Certainly, We have made this (Qur'ân) easy in your tongue, in order that they may remember

so bros am not fighting anyone nor proofing anything, i was merely saying what the Quran said

The husband to be and his people will take a covered bowl of kolanuts to the elders (with money placed on top of the kolanuts). The elders will call the bride to be and ask her if they are permitted to eat the kolanuts, because if they do, the marriage is sealed as they cannot vomit the swallowed kolanuts.
However, they return the money because they do not wish to sell their daughter.

mmsen: Backwards peoples have always attributed as yet unexplained events as supernatural. It is easier to do that than to look for the explanation.

This is why those nations and groups are soon subjugated by others. Ignorance might be bliss in the short term but in the long term it is dangerous.

if anything is to be called supernatural then it should be science and logic

Science gave us Airplanes
Science gave us treatment to Smallpox,Maleria once called supernatural disease
Science gave us internet
Science gave us Phones to make long contact calls
Science gave us Ferrari and buggati
Science gave us spaceships to launch into outta earth

i had already told you in the other thread that just because you cant explain something, u should term it supernatural..nothing is supernatural and i can promise you that with time, that thing u called supernatural will be called natural. people still called sleep-paralysis psyhic attack down here in my place... they still think that agbana can enter peoples money and wealth and i wonder why cant agbana enters dangote or babangida or even tinubu money (agbana is mystical spending of ones money by spirit thereby turning the owner to a poor man)

here are few questions for you

1) do u still consider smallpox as supernatural diseasehuh hundreds of years ago our ancestor called it supernatural
2) do u still consider Maleria as supernatural diseasehuhhundreds of years ago our ancestor called it supernatural and even worshipped it by called it Sonpana
3) flying on a plane a thousand years ago will be consider supernatural. now do u think its still supernatural

the point is that once u called something supernatural, u closed up your mind from asking question and moving towards answer and u are enjoined to always keep an open mind. we dont even know 10% of natural and people talk of something supernatural

bisdansun: Mr Op. In as much as your thread may sound blasphemous but as a Christian I will give you the benefit of doubt maybe you are an unbeliever who needs Christ or you don't belive God exist.

Many people had answer your questions very well and biblically for that matter.
But I know you won't believe these answers until you experience them.
Accept Jesus as your Lord and savior and these questions will vanish. I'm not trying to be insulting but I would say you lack gratification, satisfaction, drive, purpose for your inner man. And only Jesus can answer these questions. Don't die in sin trying to use your brain to theorize, philosophizing, and use your mind to understand God. Canal mind can't know.the things of the spirit. Accept Jesus and see the results.

You will thank me later.

Christianity EtcRe: Questions That Baffle Me About God by beejaay: 9:57pm On Jul 01, 2014
qstar: The biblical God is simply incompetent. Actually, in the bible stories, man fell more than two times and he(God) sought a remedy in each occasion.

The first was in the garden of eden.
The second was during the time of noah. He(God) committed the world's greatest record of genocide.
The most recent was about 2000years ago.

Predicting from the Bible stories, he(God) would soon come up with another impotent attempt. That is, if He is still alive now, maybe karma has caught up with him .

Deep Sight: For the truly initiated, there is no doubt that life is indeed a collective dream.

It is also true that death is the waking point.

The collective dream does have a purpose and that is the building of self conscious beings who will, in the after - reality, have god like capabilities.

Nevertheless, the initiator of this particular process, what most people imagine is God, is kinda psyco. Very perverted. One has to hope to graduate to being a better god than the god that created this dream. When it's time, please create a better dream.

The invention of the word "soul" is to represent what the medieval men thought to be the consciousness of man. Since they knew little about the internal biological system of man.

My great grand Pa worshipped "the God of Malaria". I've forgotten it's name in the local dialect.
