Promhize: Dude, if you want to go into investment go and read books on investment, use google, their are a lot of materials available.

read Benjamin Graham's investment anlysis and intelligent investor, don't let someone teach you nonsense. Benjamin Graham was Warren Buffet's teacher so go read his books.

Don't let someone here tell you nonsense because he lost money, there's no sure/certain profitable investments you can only learn, make calculated risks and reduce your chances of loosing money.
bros you cant learn investment in a book else u will sold a snow when its free.Investment knowledge is all around us and all u have to do is observer and u will see.if u like read 1000 books

Promhize: I can assure you that guy will lead you nowhere, I told you today, he did not even learn one of the most basic things in investing "when a share is at its lowest it can only go up". This guy invests with his heart, emotions not everyone can be an investor, Warren buffet did make his billions in the nonsense this guy is talking about.

Investing is not about knowing charts and tables, if so, economists would be the richest people on earth. Great economists have lost millions of dollars in US not just theirs but even other peoples money.

Peace Sir.

If this were the wisdom/logic, one might then ask why God did not appoint illiterate prophets to convey His earlier scriptures
so that the same rule will apply?

You see, if you follow the teachings of scholars, you'll end up a sheep unable to think for himself. Like i said to Al-Baqir, the scholars
invented this idea to make it seem the prophet couldn't possibly have invented the quran when people started questioning the
veracity of the quran years after the death of the prophet.

The word UMMY, which they incorrectly translate as unlettered in the quran simply means a gentile(one who neither followed the
Torah or Gospel). Take a look at the following difference between YUSUF ALI translation and that of PICKHTALL of verse 3:75.

[3:75]........That is because they say: We have no duty to the Gentiles(ummyyeena). They speak a lie concerning Allah
knowingly.[Pickhtall]

[3:75].........they say, "there is no call on us [to keep faith] with these ignorant [Pagans](ummyyeena)." but they tell a lie against Allah, and [well] they know it.

Can you spot the difference? Pickhtall translates the verse correctly on this occasion because it wouldn't make any sense translating it
as unlettered/illiterate. while in other instances, pickhtall translates same word as illiterate. why? As for yusuf ali, his translation exposes
a clear distortion if we contrast it with his other translations of same word.

bros dont mind them...any averagely intelligent being will know that Prophet is no where being an illiterate (i dont need any quote to figure that out...the intellect bestowed on me by god is enough to do that job for me)... someone is an illiterate yet he handled businesses for a woman who was business guru (to the extent that she later handed over everything to him), someone is called an illustrate yet he was tagged the righteous one by the very people that called him illiterate (isnt that oxymoron)...it eventually begged the question "what is the definition of illiteracy".....

RoyPCain: @usermane and those responding to him, in support or otherwise; "Frowning and turning away" his face from a blind man who couldn't see it is not offensive to the blind man. After all, he couldn't see the 'speech'. If he [AS] had verbalized it, that will be another matter. A deaf man who you speak with anger to with a "grin" on your face may just laugh with you since he can only read your voice but can't hear you. it is the same blind man [RA] the prophet [SA] says by his interaction my Lord remembers me [Although he is the one revelation is coming to day and night, the one Allah mentions his excellent quality to the angels so much so the angel of the mountain commends his not allowing him to destroy Taif, the same prophet [SA] who appointed the blind companion [RA] a governor of a major city]. I remember a friend saying as long as his wife shows 'happiness' in honoring him in his presence, whatever she says of "yinmu" behind him, he is not aware of it.

***NO ONE IS TALKING DOWN THE GREATNESS OF THE PROPHET, WHAT WE ARE SAYING IS THAT HE IS BUT A MAN AND NOT PERFECT...ONLY GOD IS PERFECT(WHAT AM I TALKING SEF PERFECTION IS HUMAN LANGUAGE, GOD IS BEYOUND PERFECTION AND IMPERFECTION)

RoyPCain: Allah {SWT} used the Prophet [SA] to teach us, correcting us by what you think are faults of the Messenger [SA]. as illustration of what i mean, correction of mistakes in salat upon making it up, is 2 prostrations before you teslim out. I hope you practice this sunnah?

you seem to criticize the Messenger [SA] and by extension, you might have criticized The One Who sent him [SA]. May Allah help us all and forgive us. Amin.
no one is criticizing Him, we are simply upholding what is already in the Quran, it is you and your type that is criticizing the Duran and god by bringing in your own interpretation very far different what the Book says so u could satisfy your big man ego of our prophet is totally perfect and without fault (it nothing more than EGO PUMPING on your part)
IslamRe: Ten Misconceptions Among Muslims by beejaay: 10:35pm On Nov 17, 2013
usermane: Your view is then contrary to the verse. As long as he said "a man like you",then we just have to take it the Prophet aside the revealation he got is just a man like me and you, struggling to attain perfection. I already told you to check Qur'an 22:52,53 out. That a man is a saint with exalted morals doesn't make him free of mistakes or faults. Also you said Muhammad was always a monotheist, right from birth, fine i will dig more on that.

Then mutashabihat verses are not marked in the Qur'an or can you provide us a list of all such verses? Besides, God did not point out those who are grounded in knowledge. Anybody can strive to be knowledgeable enough with due effort to uncover the true meanings of mutashabihat(multiple meaning) verses.
Kindly read and digest links sent to you before we embark fully on this. However, the arabic word use in those two verses is "bashar" meaning "mortal"; and not "man who err" as you think.
Had it been Muhammad is not somebody who eats, drink, sleeps, work, die (definition of "Bashar"wink, these tribe of his, the Arabs would have presented an "excuse" that "its difficult to follow him since he's immortal". Hence the essence of the verse "say: I am a man like you..."

Remember, even before he declare himself as a prophet sent to them, he was known with no fault. In fact his people nicknamed him "as-Sadiq wadul Amin" among other nicknames. He was perfect in his status before being appointed as a prophet. "Revelation" i.e being prophet was icing on his cake.
Besides aren't you believe every man is born "sinless" and "pure"? Islam doesn't believe in "original sin".
And the fact that man has been given "aql (intellect)" and "ikhtiyar - free-will", you can use both to commit or not to commit. Its a matter of choice not force. And in the case of prophet of God (saws), in additional to these naturally in-built two gift (free-will and intellect), he was able to recognize his Lord...and His creation both in its spiritual dimension whereby "manifest evidence - ilm yaqeen" has been given to him making him far away from sin, mistakes or error as far as this relative world and its spiritual dimension is concern.
It will be foolish comparing God who is absolute and above imagination with holy prophet's infallibility.
the fact that Prophet came in human physical form means he has all the attribute and xteristics of that form which its finite..when you take on the physical form of a goat u will definitely eat grass and when its a lion u will definitely eat flesh (no other way round it)

no matter how hard you try to manipulate the verse of the Quran, it simply means what it means "HUMAN"

tiarabubu: Tbaba cannot clearly defend his position without saying "Christians too did it". Well, Usermane, a Muslim, has given you a very good answer. And I hope you can learn from him the fine art of focused debates.

I find this debate really interesting because the killing of apostates is one of the major source of friction between Islam and the rest of the world.
It doesn't shock me that in this day and age tbaba will believe in these inhuman, violent and cruel practices - threatening and killing apostates. I cant imagine how confusing a man can be trying to project the benevolence and beauty of Islam and at the same time agreeing that apostates could be threatened and killed.

I have been following Usisky and Usermane for sometime. I intend to research their opinions deeper. interesting......
it baffles me alot..when you are having discussion with muslims, they instantly quote from the bible to justify whatever u are saying (thinking that u are a xtian) and the xtians will quickly refer you to quran to also justifies theirs when u are having discussion with them (thinking that u are a muslim)....then i ask myself cant the Bible or Quran stand alonehuh why must they always look for conviction and supporter from what they dont believe in?? why must they always look for ways to run from your observation and discussion with them by trying to make it a war btw xtainity versus islamhuh

any body that support killing of apostate is a terrorist..if tbaba support this then he is a terrorist and as bad as shekau and osama bin laden

BetaThings: Who does that in Unilag or in Christianity?
There is a reason for the revelation of the verses. Some people spend years learning them
While some just download the translation of the Qur'an and start commenting
A Christian recently said "we have the English soft copy of the Qur'an, so you Muslims cannot hise anything again" Same person went further to state that "you are reading a wrong meaning into the Bible"
So can we Muslims not also download the Bible and start commenting?
and who asked them to spend years learning it??

if a total novice cannot pick a book and understand it to the basic then that book is as useless as it should be (and am sure the Holy Quran and the Holy Bible is not useless...)... a book that is for the whole benefit of mankind should be understandable to the most stupid among them so that they will not be brainwashed and used against the very purpose its written for

going by your logic since shekau, osama, and many more islamic terrorist went through rigorous study on Quran we can say that they are qualified to be called scholar ryt...

and pls tell me why will a Supreme God make a book He sent to his people so hard that they have to go through some form of school to understand it??

since the sunni and shia and different group scholars went through rigorous Quranic school why are they still divergent in their views and almost sees each other as enemies??( my thinking is that with there supposedly years of learning they should understand it to the fullest and the issue of sect shouldnt exist in the first place)

my sister dont get it twisted Quran, Bible is as clear as daylight and as simple, clear as anything can be...it doesnt need any special education..the word in it is clear for any one to understand and interpreters or the so called scholars are not needed

According to your man-made shareeah, married adulterers should be buried and stoned to death, according to the hadith, Muhammad did same. But according to the Teachings of the messenger in the Quran, adultery of any form is only punishable by giving hundred lashes to parties involved(24:2). Are you truly "Obeying" the Messenger? And according to the Hadiths, a goat ate the verse of stonning. What an Evil Lie!!
are u for real on the boldedhuh did Tbaba actually backed his point with this hadith?? grin grin grin going by the above logic we can easily infer that alot of other verses might have as well get lost through other means or even through the same means and are not reported or some other verses verses might have been included in the quran that are not actually part of it (though i have my reservations to the way and manner Quran was compiled)...

the longer you stay in this section the more u see how backward their reasoning is..always holdinh on to anything to drive home their point even when its untterly rubbish and silly

tbaba1234: However in an Islamic state, there are certain conditions where conversion is accompanied with acts that could be considered treasonable by the state. The punishment for treason is death.

The act of just conversion is not punishable in most cases, however if that conversion is accompanied by an attempt to discredit Islam or propagate another religion within the islamic state, It is considered treasonable.

The apostacy law came about during the time of the prophet;

In order to discredit Islam, some Jews in medina would accept islam in the day and leave by sunset; They continued to do so until the law was put in place.

Guess how many people did so the next day? None,

Look at the apostacy law this way;

Acts against the nation are considered treason aren't they? what is punishment for treason in 9ja?

The constitution of an Islamic state is based on Islam; If i live in the state, i abide by its laws;
are u directly saying that Meccans agression towards the prophet during the early days of Islam was right cos he Muhammed was also commiting Treason by preaching that which contradict the practise of the traditional meccans..... there is a saying that says"he who want equity must come to equity wth clean hands".. if the early muslim fight against their persecution by meccans because they are propagating their own religion (if God could called the meccans unbelievers for persecuting the early muslim as apostate), people should have right to accept or de-accpet (english hard ooo) whatever they want and they have the right to propagate that which they believe in without persecution (cs Prophet Muhammed also said unpainted words to the pagans of meccans threatening them will hellfire of different kinds)...

there is nothing like Islamic state (Islamic state simply means no free-will again which go against the preaching of the Quran)

Deep Sight: What makes anyone think that God, if it exists, is, or should be either moral or immoral, in the human sense?

Is God, if it exists, expected to be a human being?

If you say that God does not exist, fine. But if you agree that God, if it exists, would not be a human being, then why ascribe human moral standards to it, or judge it by human morailty?

When a lion kills lion cubs in taking over a pride, do you accuse him of murder and then sentence him to the electric chair? You do not. Why? Because he is not human and has a different moral paradigm, if any at all.

You consider the lion lower than you. You agree that God, if it exists, would be higher than you. If you cannot judge that which is lower based on your human standards of morailty, how can you judge that which is higher based on your human standards of morality.

Think again.

ROSSIKE: Here is your answer: In reality, there is no such thing as "before" and "after". The concept of linear time only applies in our physical world. In absolute reality, where God exists, there is no "past" and "future". Everything occurs simultaneously in the "Eternal Now". It is a difficult concept to grasp from our position, but that is the truth. In fact your life is occurring all at once. Anyone who exits our space-time continuum can easily access and observe any stage of your life, from birth to old age. Like rewinding or fast forwarding a CD. It is only WITHIN the continuum ie when you yourself are a character in the CD, that the sequence of events in it appears to you as "past, present, future" etc, but in reality there is no such thing. It's an illusion. Thanks.
i agree and its kind of like the only thing that makes sense... the past present and future are all happening at once, everything its like a pathway

Christianity EtcRe: Man...the Only "True God". by beejaay: 10:37am On Nov 16, 2013
striktlymi: The source of the existence of man is Energy. Without it there can be no existence and creation would be meaningless. The relevance of Energy goes beyond making the necessary 'power' available to jump-start the process of creation but also include bringing into existence all that there is and holding all in existence. Thus the saying: "Cut off from me, you can do nothing" takes on an added meaning.

Through Energy, we derive our ultimate gift, the gift of life and rational consciousness. Indeed, the theory of evolution did not in itself grant man the ability to arrive at consciousness and rationality...Energy did! And for Energy to be able to give consciousness and rationality, it also MUST possess those qualities. For it takes rationality and a conscious agent to determine what ultimately becomes conscious and rational, and what does not.

Energy is God and the rational consciousness it gives is where we are most like it. We derive our substance from it's very essence, hence our likeness to it. "Ye are gods"...it takes a God to make a god. Humans were not created but made. If man was created then we cannot lay claim to be true gods. It is in the making of man that we see the god-nature in us. For he breathed on "clay" and gave a bit of itself to 'us' hence making his other self.
then where did energy comes from since it can neither be created nor destroyedhuh

big deal 007: The problem with your analysis is that you took side before writing this... Did you ask your self why lecturers in Uk could easily agree to call off strike while negotiation continues?... Because they have men of integrity at the helm of affairs of govt. people who will not say a thing and later deny it. Yes, strikes have been since 70's but have you checked if the govt. have ever honored any of the agreement made since the 1st ASUU strike in this country?
Have you seen the whole 2009 agreement or you just saw some parts and concluded it's not the solution?
dont mind the guy jare..he is a fvcktar foooll..i wonder why u guys are replying him sef... its people like that guy that destroyed this country with their twisted mentality.. i am a product of this so called university and i can say it anywhere that i cant defend my certificate courtesy of Nigeria govt ( i had to develop myself after graduation) and i can bet my ass. off that 95% of today's graduate will never be able to defend it also (mind you i have graduated like 8yrs ago fast forward to 2013 and imagine what have happened to education in this country going by what happened to me and people like me 8yrs ago).. throughout my 4yrs program, i didnt enter computer lab once and there was never a practical class throughout the 4yrs (am a graduate of computer science ooooo)

ASUU SHOULD PLEASE FIGHT FOR THE FUTURE OF OUR YOUTH AND THE FUTURE OF THIS COUNTRY...WITHOUT QUALITY EDUCATION THERE CAN NEVER BE A TRUE DEVELOPMENT

**if govt is tired of funding them, they should give them full autonomy or do their job as enshrined in the constitution

5. Is That So?

The Zen master Hakuin was praised by his neighbors as one living a pure life.

A beautiful Japanese girl whose parents owned a food store lived near him. Suddenly, without any warning, her parents discovered she was with child.

This made her parents very angry. She would not confess who the man was, but after much harassment at last named Hakuin.

In great anger the parents went to the master. “Is that so?” was all he would say.

When the child was born, the parents brought it to the Hakuin, who now was viewed as a pariah by the whole village. They demanded that he take care of the child since it was his responsibility. “Is that so?” Hakuin said calmly as he accepted the child.

A year later the girl-mother could stand it no longer. She told her parents the truth – that the real father of the child was a young man who worked in the fishmarket.

The mother and father of the girl at once went to Hakuin to ask his forgiveness, to apologize at length, and to get the child back again.

Hakuin was willing. In yielding the child, all he said was: “Is that so?”

6. Maybe

Once upon the time there was an old farmer who had worked his crops for many years. One day his horse ran away. Upon hearing the news, his neighbors came to visit. “Such bad luck,” they said sympathetically.

“Maybe,” the farmer replied.

The next morning the horse returned, bringing with it three other wild horses. “How wonderful,” the neighbors exclaimed.

“Maybe,” replied the old man.

The following day, his son tried to ride one of the untamed horses, was thrown, and broke his leg. The neighbors again came to offer their sympathy on his misfortune.

“Maybe,” answered the farmer.

The day after, military officials came to the village to draft young men into the army. Seeing that the son’s leg was broken, they passed him by. The neighbors congratulated the farmer on how well things had turned out.

“Maybe,” said the farmer.

7. Cliffhanger

One day while walking through the wilderness a man stumbled upon a vicious tiger. He ran but soon came to the edge of a high cliff. Desperate to save himself, he climbed down a vine and dangled over the fatal precipice.

As he hung there, two mice appeared from a hole in the cliff and began gnawing on the vine.

Suddenly, he noticed on the vine a plump wild strawberry. He plucked it and popped it in his mouth. It was incredibly delicious!

8. The Blind Men and the Elephant

Several citizens ran into a hot argument about God and different religions, and each one could not agree to a common answer. So they came to the Lord Buddha to find out what exactly God looks like.

The Buddha asked his disciples to get a large magnificent elephant and four blind men. He then brought the four blind to the elephant and told them to find out what the elephant would “look” like.

The first blind men touched the elephant leg and reported that it “looked” like a pillar. The second blind man touched the elephant tummy and said that an elephant was a wall. The third blind man touched the elephant ear and said that it was a piece of cloth. The fourth blind man hold on to the tail and described the elephant as a piece of rope. And all of them ran into a hot argument about the “appearance” of an elephant.

The Buddha asked the citizens: “Each blind man had touched the elephant but each of them gives a different description of the animal. Which answer is right?”

9. Right and Wrong

When Bankei held his seclusion-weeks of meditation, pupils from many parts of Japan came to attend. During one of these gatherings a pupil was caught stealing. The matter was reported to Bankei with the request that the culprit be expelled. Bankei ignored the case.

Later the pupil was caught in a similar act, and again Bankei disregarded the matter. This angered the other pupils, who drew up a petition asking for the dismissal of the thief, stating that otherwise they would leave in a body.

When Bankei had read the petition he called everyone before him. “You are wise brothers,” he told them. “You know what is right and what is not right. You may go somewhere else to study if you wish, but this poor brother does not even know right from wrong. Who will teach him if I do not? I am going to keep him here even if all the rest of you leave.”

A torrent of tears cleansed the face of the brother who had stolen. All desire to steal had vanished.

10. Nothing Exists

Yamaoka Tesshu, as a young student of Zen, visited one master after another. He called upon Dokuon of Shokoku.

Desiring to show his attainment, he said: “The mind, Buddha, and sentient beings, after all, do not exist. The true nature of phenomena is emptiness. There is no realization, no delusion, no sage, no mediocrity. There is no giving and nothing to be received.”

Dokuon, who was smoking quietly, said nothing. Suddenly he whacked Yamaoka with his bamboo pipe. This made the youth quite angry.

“If nothing exists,” inquired Dokuon, “where did this anger come from?”

11. Teaching the Ultimate

In early times in Japan, bamboo-and-paper lanterns were used with candles inside. A blind man, visiting a friend one night, was offered a lantern to carry home with him.

“I do not need a lantern,” he said. “Darkness or light is all the same to me.”

“I know you do not need a lantern to find your way,” his friend replied, “but if you don’t have one, someone else may run into you. So you must take it.”

The blind man started off with the lantern and before he had walked very far someone ran squarely into him. “Look out where you are going!” he exclaimed to the stranger. “Can’t you see this lantern?”

“Your candle has burned out, brother,” replied the stranger.
