Worried for GTCO. Just 1115hrs 15million shares already traded. Someone is offloading big, while another is loading large. This sure does not look like retail investors.

Thanks all for the various inputs. So the 150k was meant to cover the cost DPM, compaction and labor to cast the German floor.

diordaves:
Make we dey cool down ask for input well well o. Do you mean 150k to do foundation and then cast the German floor? Or you don complete the foundation na just to cast the German floor?

If na only to cast Germany floor for that floor size, 50k - 70k for labour no bad na. But 150k for labour? Wahala dey o.
PropertiesRe: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by beejay1(m): 6:52pm On Apr 15, 2022

okeysoninv:

Hello House, my engineer gave a quote of 150k as cost of German floor for my foundation (15.5m x 11.6m). This cost will aso include foundation ramming. Is this fair?

No thank you. I wont waste my time chasing him as I have done before - ignored emails/calls/text in the name of been busy. Mine is to warn your potential/existing clients ahead of time. Ensure you get a lawyer and detail all terms in black and white before committing any funds.

Lesgupnigeria:
If you are talking about Mr Gbenga, you have his number right and talk things directly with him or you report to appropriate quarters.

We do not seek farm investment or investors from the public
Nevertheless,we offer services such as training, farm set up and farm mgt on our farm estates and outside, sales, etc

Moreover, you can send your name and number to the number or WhatsApp +2349031147593
Thank you.

So #Waleagro, my question to you is how have you treated your investors. Have you dealt fairly with them? I will not chase you for my money, infact, if you do not pay me back, I will not shake. However, where-ever I see your post on social media, i will always remind your existing and potential investors to be careful in dealing with you.

Lesgupnigeria:
Two things I learnt from over a decade of engaging in farm business and what you can learn too

Farm business though promising can be one of the hardest venture you engage in.

You have multiple of risks ,the one in your control and the one out of your control to tackle;

Climate change, acts of God (flood, fire, storm etc),market instability, yield ,disease outbreaks etc

If you fail, learn from it but don't throw in the towel

Every failure is a stepping stone to a higher breakthrough

Don't see failure as the final verdict on any activities you are engaged in.

When you fall, dust yourself up,adjust, learn from the situation and start all over again

Though,I must admit that it is not easy to start again but you must do it nevertheless

Every successful agropreneurs I know today have had the urge to give in but the vision of the end goal seems to be stronger than the immediate urge.

I have had my own share as well.

In 2011,I wanted to give up, a good friend encourage me to keep at it.

Also in 2016 as well, the urge came when I thought we were not pushing as much as we should,a mentor encourage me and like they say,the rest is history

two things I have learnt

First,surround yourself with positive people

Second, when you have that urge to give up,don't do it because you are about to turn the corner to your breakthrough.

Anytime the urge come is a signal that something huge is about to happen positively

Now with tens of thousands of acres on our farm estates across different states,I am happy I didn't give up.

Although we still have a long way to go

Giving up wouldn't have got us to where we are now.

There is always light at the end of the tunnel

So NEVER GIVE UP!

Disclaimer

I’m not asking you to buy from this person. As a matter of fact, I’ve not patronized her before but she’s a supplier around that area. She gave me her contact while working on some projects there.

You can call her to make enquiries and compare figures.

0708 357 7813 - I don’t know her name.

__________

Here’s what I know. The price of good sharp sand in that area is more than what we buy in Lekki and Oshodi. And their truck is kinda small which makes it look like a rip off to me.
They don’t use the China truck we are used to in Lekki axis. They have the side-loading type of truck.

They have 2 types of sharp sand (good and bad sand). Both can be used but I’d advice you to use the good one for your concrete works.

_________

Granite at 300k in that axis seems like a good deal to me if it’s full. I bought very full 45 tons 2 weeks ago in Oshodi at 450k.
Unconfirmed source says granite price will go up in coming week again.

Some people dont know what they have put their hands into.

The kind bear that is loading right now embarassed

People will just wake one morning and be wondering where all the bids went.
Please help clarify your statement above...i don't get the point. Although I am also wondering why NB is not doing +10% right now with the result released.

grin are you sure? Or you need to wear your glasses? Or you are confusing Q3 with 9months? I am seeing Q3 positive grin
How do you recover from -0.50k earning per share deficit for their 9 months earning. I suspect their final year result will still be a loss.
