IJAYA001:
Honesty PBAT is laying a good foundation to new Nigeria to be proud of but some people want instant bread in which it even happened in the Bible when Israelites were complaining about instant bread and told Moses to return them to Egypt where they were been enslaved.. IRE O
Will u kip it. U pple be talking about foundation as though obj, yar and jona were not doing anything! Even when abacha destroyed d economy monumentally, obj did not come and start shouting u must suffer yet he carried out the best of reforms & policies till this day... the pension reform, the banking consolidation reform, mobile revolution, corruption fighting.. guess what he still managed to leave the fx reserves at $50bn+.. Pple's lives got better as all these reforms were going on...
PoliticsRe: Why PBAT Appears To The Best President Nigerians Have Had In Years. by being(m): 12:20am On Jun 28, 2025
U have been educated... u refuse to accept education
Now u tell us, what is being rebuilt? Whats the building, what will all these lead to eventually and how will it lead to it?
dalitigator:
How did China get to become a world power. How did Japan do it after the war?

Go and find out. We are to rebuild from scratch and he is doing that. Hunger killed persons in China and Japan. But the country got better.

We want a great country but we are not ready to change our policies. How is the tax reform laws neocolonial policies?

Please educate my ignorance

Thanks
PoliticsRe: Why PBAT Appears To The Best President Nigerians Have Had In Years. by being(m):
Which I have told u part of it..the FIRST function of govt is security of people.. all these terrorists in the north need to be totally annihilated.. the security agencies are not up and doing.. imo, if u dont put pple on their toes, they may not be responsible. The c-in-c needs to do that, sack when necessary, allocate more funds if necessary , deal decisively with corruption & fulani saboteurs in d security agencies... get d external help from mossad, CIA, US military if still absolutely necessary .
Next, the economy - people feeling secured helps here. Then create policies & enabling environment that encourage investment.. things like rule of law must be sacrosanct..corruption must be dealt with at the roots.. govt bureaucracies that stifle busineses must be removed, ensure a rapid power generation increase, shop for investors local and foreign to invest in the country's manufacturing sector cos a lot of import substitution needs to be done and the oil industry needs to have a roadmap to go back to 2.1mbpd!
dalitigator:
Assuming without conceding that Nigerians decided they want to make you the president of Nigeria today, please, tell us what you will do differently to make things work?

It's that simple.

Atleast you lead a family , a community, or leadership in any form of capacity and you understand what leadership means.

If you ain't married yet, which I doubt, you have a girlfriend you are leading in a relationship. So, you are a leader in some shred or capacity.

So, Oga take the mic and tell us what you will do differently, if Nigerians decide to make you their president this very minute.

We are waiting.

Well... it is not about me.. i am not the one that left my house and contested for presidency ...my own is for things to work... even if i have no wisdom or understanding about govt or lesdership or economics or security, i have all the right to demand for a working country, for better standards of living

In any case which questions were not answered--i explained to u why agric production needs to be ensured and why insecurity is a big problem for the economy
dalitigator:
Imagine. I will read it for knowledge purposes sha..but you didn't answer the questions. So you can't even wear the shoes of the local govt chairman. Much more a president of a federation.

But it's easy for you to criticise, abuse and do as you wish, cos talk is cheap.

You don ever see person wen dey use mouth drive motor get accident? No! It's always easy until you are asking to take the sterling.

I shall say no more.
PoliticsRe: Why PBAT Appears To The Best President Nigerians Have Had In Years. by being(m): 6:18pm On Jun 27, 2025
Sorry. Wrong article
https://www.thecable.ng/breaking-fg-slashes-petrol-price-n87/... last sentence..
I cant be looking for the problem in vision 2020.. so say what d problem is.
As for the economy, the economy is all.about production, purchasing power, inflation and the likes..
Improving on agric production is thus a major addition to the economy.. insecurity generally discourages any form of investment or productive activities.

dalitigator:
What about the other arm of the question?

The price of petrol was fixed at N97 in January 2012 after the administration made an abortive move for the full deregulation of the downstream sector which initially saw petrol price rocket to more than N140 per litre. The move was challenged by a general uprising across the country led by the Occupy Nigeria movement which organised city shutdowns across some of the major cities in the country.

Consequently, the minister directed the Petroleum Product Pricing Regulatory Agency “PPPRA )and the Directorate of Petroleum Resources to, “ensure there is strict adherence to this new pricing regime as soon as it takes effect.”

So, which part exactly said that subsidies for PMS were fully removed as of the time of this article?

Point to the exact part of the publication. I dey wait.

I read for fun. So, bring any material and we will digest it together and then discuss.
PoliticsRe: Why PBAT Appears To The Best President Nigerians Have Had In Years. by being(m):
https://www.thecable.ng/breaking-fg-slashes-petrol-price-n87/...
the govt was paying subsidy when petrol was N97 in 2012. then oil price went down to about $60 in 2014 and then subsidy was about zero.. so govt was able to reduce to N87 with no subsidy when oil price further went down...

dalitigator:
Now give me the materials or documents, or whatever aided this decision or conclusion that there was no subsidy. Let me consume it too. Perhaps, afterwards, myself and others with low IQ who are fiercely supporting PBAT may be born again and follow you and your postulation. How about that?

As for Fulani bandits, I support your position. There seems to be a deliberate agenda to create hunger around the world. But we shall overcome. I will want you to revisit OBJ's Vision 2020. There was a problem that was raised therein. It was never addressed, and that is part of today's problem. I won't mention it. Go find out for yourself.

Then, you just addressed one sector. The agricultural and the agro allied sector. What exactly would you do about the economy?

And how exactly would you solve the Fulani and book haram challenges? Explain to me like I am a primary 5 kid.
PoliticsRe: Why PBAT Appears To The Best President Nigerians Have Had In Years. by being(m): 4:35pm On Jun 27, 2025
I didn't talk about trying to remove subsidy.. I'm saying there was no subsidy when petrol was N87.. goan check it out.. and I maintain that bat is not fixing much.. he is just redirecting d burden bearing from d govt to the people
dalitigator:
You are too fast, bro.

If was a failed situation before now. If you say that he stopped GEJ from removing full subsidy only to do it himself, I will say, well, GEJ should have stood his ground. That is one mark of a true leader. GEJ was too emphatic. Sometimes, the masses do not need empathy. Just like a father handles a child, sometimes we need such handling.

The bulk of the mess you mentioned was not his doing. But even PMB tried in some areas. Now, we are talking about policies that will stimulate production. PMB handled military growth well. PBAT should focus on making those hard decisions that will position the nation. Another will come that will take it from there.

A more capable administrator like Adesina of the African Development Bank. Baba is not a manager. Baba is a fixer. A manager will come. Just wait and see. But 2027 is just too sure for PBAT.
First, u must flush out fvlani bandits for agriculture to thrive.. same also bokoharam and other terrorist entities
dalitigator:
Now that you are smarter than PBAT and his team, kindly educate us. Now, let's assume you become the President of Nigeria today, what will you do differently to steer the country to greater heights?

Educate those of us with very low IQ.

We are desperately waiting for your answers.
PoliticsRe: Why PBAT Appears To The Best President Nigerians Have Had In Years. by being(m): 3:25pm On Jun 27, 2025
These are all cock n bull stories... N87 petrol under Jonathan (2015) was without subsidy! N142 petrol under buhari(2016) was without subsidy!
Exchange rate of N125 under Obj, 155-184 under jona was not depleting the foreign reserves rather the reserves were increasing. Investment in oil & gas was high in those years with daily production @2.1mbpd .. production now is less than 1.3mbpd.. hardly do u have new investments
So pls what exactly are we talking about?

Buccalcavity2:
Firstly reforms must balance both development outlook and social welfare, unltimately improving citizens livelihood.
I personally think BAT is the best so far, judging from the reforms he implemented in just 2yrs. Fuel subsidy, exchange rate, tax act and oil and gas reforms). These are reforms some of us have clamored for years but he seems to to be the only one that understsnds it.
Cool thing about it is that he did them in 2yrs which gives him 2 additional years to spend. It is why i laugh at those who think he will lose reelection. He can afford to spend his way through if he wants like Buhari wrt trader moni.
Politics , economy support his reelection. Its why they resorted to insecurity.
PoliticsRe: Why PBAT Appears To The Best President Nigerians Have Had In Years. by being(m):
What are you saying? What is he planning? He is only moving all burdens from govt to the people! Buhari govt diminished our productivity and then was taking loans to offset the shortfall in productivity.. BAT is NOT increasing productivity but only refrained from taking as much loans to offset the shortfalls!
Except u can tell me hw productivity has increased since 2023... is it in agriculture where bandits have chased away the farmers or in crude oil exports where we still haven't been able to get back to 2.1mbpd we used to have in Jonathan's time.. or is it in manufacturing with factories closing down? Tell me!

What is reform? --he removed subsidy. At the twilight of jonathan tenure, petrol @N87 had no subsidy.
dalitigator:
I do not know if I should say this , or if this we are all seen the same thing.

I always wonder why is it that most Africans are short-sighted. Dem nor dey think long range. Na, just instant instant solution or satisfaction dem want.

But was that not exactly what previous administrations or regimes did? Give the masses bread so that they won't revolt whilst the nation was gradually rotten away. Why?

Because everybody wanted bread and nobody cared if the resources to keep the bakery running in the long run were being kept aside. Give me bread now! They yelled. How can we all be interested in the Nigeria project or be patriotic, if we do not take difficult decisions that will keep the bakery running?

And there are only a few men who have had the chest or courage to fix things. Many feared for their political career and chickened out along the way. But not these two geniuses.

When PBAT made alliances with the North to bring in PMB, I felt it was nonsense because I loved GEJ on the Economic side. Things were rosy, and we had bread on our tables.

My anger knew no bounds when PBAT came in and made some decisions that caused severe haemorrhage to my financial war chest. I feel am well well. I be small fry. So when the likes of dem Dangote dey feel am, you suppose understand wetin I mean.

But ten, I knew PBAT was the best president for this Season. We needed a Messiah who would cure the very foundation of the rot and not simply apply band aid. And it was then I understood why his first declaration was " subsidy is gone"!

His is a master of policies. His weapon?

Make the right policies, and the system will cure itself. Thus, I begin to wonder. How come Nigerians do not see that this genius is fixing the bakery?

The bakery is currently under maintenance and working below half capacity. There are also no resources to even bake bread, so we have to manage. But there is something PBAT needs to unleash in some sectors.

But let us all agree that PBAT, with his recent policies, is one of the best master planners in recent times.

PBAT is coming 2027.

The question is, are they willing to relocate to Ghana with their other child/children (assuming the boy is not an only child)?

Even if they relocate, once that boy clocks 18, he will relocate back to London on his own.😂😂😂
hw will he relocate back at 18 when it's not europe? He is still a child at that age in Africa ! Except he is a British citizen. In any case, hopefully by that time, if he remains in Ghana, he would have gotten some sense instilled.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Whose Actions Most Changed The Course Of Human History. by being(m):
Remove Jesus from the list... He is in a class of his own.. without him, the world would have been burnt and ended from too much sin & iniquity.. so not surprising, human time is measured according to his birth. To be sure JesusChrist is the Son of God, he came to die on the cross for our sins and resurrected

So one person is Adam. If he didn't sin, we wouldn't have this kind of world we have today. There would be no deaths, sickness, disease, suffering, chaos, etc. Man would have had actual dominion of the earth. An ordinary element like water will not be able to drown man, tiger would not have been able to eat man etc

But then as for human systems, the Greek civilization has had the most effect on human history that still impacts us now. There was not much of science, maths & democracy etc b4 then.

Who else if not helineus and mannnabbqgrillls darling daddy.. buhari was a negotiator for bokoharam in 2013.. he also defended them saying an attack on them is an attack on the North.. I wonder how d educated yorubas voted for him in 2015 & 2019 again even after his obvious support for fulani bandits...
Buhari alone is a negotiator for bokoharam and a grand patron for fulani herdsmen troublers

U want them to keep raising the child in an environment where u cannot discipline the child and then u have teenage gangs and he was already having "an unhealthy interest in knives" .. the parents should make sure that boy stays in Ghana under a disciplinarian uncle and go to a day School not boarding school.. what sort of useless system is England running for a court to be considering giving a child independence ?

Sir I'm a Nigerian. This is my real name. I've been quite open. Who are you and what gives you the credibility that I can believe?

I know the rewards...and risk....of real estate in Nigeria and the USA. I've lived between both countries for 30 years and owned real estate in both places as far back as 1993.

My summary is that real estate gains more value in the USA, UK and Anglo-Western countries than Nigeria. Also dollar has gained more value in Nigeria than Nigerian real estate. My pocket is my witness. That’s what I know and I challenge you to either use official data or your own experience to measure it. You can come to no other conclusion.
Good Luck to Nigeria.
If you consider what Mrs ibukun awosika (former chair of FBN ltd) said about the land she bought for 11m (total building -75M ) in 2001 now being worth some billions some 23 yrs later and compare to usd rate of 80-100 then and 1,600 now.. it is very clear real estate is the winner !!
Usd rate is a factor of 20 at best, her real estate is at least a factor of 100!!!!
U said 30 yrs...her experience is within 23 yrs!

Yup...

Medium-term to long-term investment by High-Networth Individuals in a basket of currencies and/or diversification in USD-denominated asset portfolios is the key here.
Before we can accept your conclusion, we need to accept your assumptions.. it is impossible for a 60M naira house bought in early 2000s to be worth just 80M in 2022 except due to some serious impairment of the property.. a more reasonable amount would be at least a very conservative N300M... consequently, rental income could not have been 2M throughout .. at some point it would have been 5M, 8M even 10M

And how many deaths in the USA are due to gun violence ?- 100 per day!!! U give guns to people and they just shoot randomly & thoughtlessly and can easily go scotfree with our low rate legal system? Don't create another endless monster cos of one.
Rather the state govts affected should be serious and empower armed local vigilantes like Akeredolu & Fayose did and task their senate representatives to hold accountable the FG & the security agencies!!
Ruke1990:
The advantages outweigh the disadvantages. Just like Russia, China and USA have weapons of mass destruction but none dares attack each other first for fear of Mutually Assured Destruction

South Africa, Israel and Turkey where gun is legalized - on a daily basis do not record up to half of the numbers of death recorded in Nigeria from ritual killings, boko haram, Fulani millitants, yahoo killings, unknown gunmen, criminal police forces, etc

And all criminals in Nigeria have unfettered access to guns both terrorist, cultists, armed robbers, ritual killers. The govt doesn't make effort to arrest them or prevent them from accessing guns. So only psychologically stable and normal law keeping citizens do not have gun
