So sorry about your broken heart... This is Nigeria for now
hedonido: I have long lost hope in terms of believing the 'credibility' or 'integrity' of Nigerians. But you see this Ripbadoo bastard? Kai. This abokki pig destroyed whatever remnant of hope I had.
Parading himself that year like one stainless, absolutely reliable, anti-corruption czar of honesty.... Only to start frolicking with politicians and ending up as a b1tch of the most corrupt Nigerian in history. His own is even more painful than the unravelling of useless characters like Wo-Ole Soyeenka and the rest of them. Very tragic and painful.
I will never forgive myself for being stupid enough to have once held this shameless, self-seeking, desperate, politically harloted, two-faced ayama idiot in high esteem.
Just based on what u wrote-stay as an analyst.. u can always get better jobs in the same line of work.. Though u might need to say what the 2 salaries are and what kind of analyst work- treasury analyst ? Accountant? Credit analyst? Legal analyst?
MR woman,u may have artificial vagina but do u have womb?
Glimpsetv: A transgender woman has taken to social media to call out the Donald Trump administration for changing her gender to male on her new passport.
According to her, all her official documents had already been updated to reflect her female identity, and she had also undergone full surgical transition. She shared an image of her new passport, which displayed her name, Perysian Zaya Mehki, but listed her sex as "M" (Male), despite the photo showing her as a woman.
Reading from the email she received regarding the change, she quoted: “The sex was corrected on your passport application. The changes were made for one of the following reasons to match our records.”
She went on to explain that she had a passport as a child, which listed her gender as male. Based on this, she claimed that if a person previously had a passport reflecting a particular sex, the government would revert to that sex regardless of any legal or medical transitions made later.
Frustrated by the situation, she announced her intention to take legal action against the government. She also shared her email, inviting legal experts who could assist her in challenging the decision.
Stating that she is now a fully transitioned adult with no male characteristics, she expressed deep concern over the dangers this incorrect gender marker could pose while traveling. She alleged that the administration was deliberately targeting transgender individuals, attempting to intimidate them and push them out of public life.
However, she declared that she would not be silenced or forced into hiding. Instead, she vowed to fight back, asserting that this action was a direct violation of her rights as an American citizen under the Equal Rights Amendment.
What are we saying exactly? So.much words, u haven't exactly said anything usable.. Could u at least say the disadvantages of maybe eating jollof rice or Palmoil beans etc.. COMMUNICATE!
Reverseng: Humans aren't eating food. You haven't been eating food. You think you have, but you're wrong. For so long, You've pleased your tongue at the expense of your stomach, forgetting that's it's only your tongue that tastes your food. Your stomach don't taste
In fact, looking back, most of you will be able to count on one hand how many times you've eaten food in the past decade, after you digest this post, hopefully
Rice give you energy. Beans supplies your protein Fat and oil help your body absorb nutrients in their own ways
But guess what? It's rice that's gives you energy, and not jollof rice It's rice that gives you energy, and not rice and stew
It's beans that gives you energy, not beans and crayfish and oil It's beans that gives you energy, not beans and bread
There are rules to food combination. There are different classes of food, so there are rules to combine the different classes of food that we have
There's nothing like dirty water. It's either water, or it's something else. If water is H2o, then H2o + (something else) = an element that cannot just be H2o
There's nothing like oily beans or bread and beans. It's either beans in its natural form or it's something else.
Beans in its natural form is the food your body needs. Beans in its artificial form after being garnished with unnecessary ingredients, is no longer beans. It's no longer food
And when you're no longer eating food, you're starving.
Now guess how long you've been starving?
Now you know why your food don't reflect positively in your body: You weren't eating food. You were starving. You've been starving. Starve no more.
PS: Do you pour clean water in a dirty water bottle? No Unless you want dirty water still. So first, you have to wash the water bottle. You have to clean your body system first, and then start to eat right.

what does comfortable in her skin mean? She could as well not wear anything then!
Samantha125: If you found her dressing like that, the you'd have two choices.
Either you respect her style of dressing or you hit the road.
You can't find someone who's comfortable and confident in her own skin and start manipulating her into losing her own self confidence for your own selfish reasons ... If you want a woman who dresses like Deeper Life sisters, then go to Deeper Life church and get yourself a Deeper Life sister.
pansophist: Ok I change my mind. I don think am well, and I can agree that men should love women more.
If you will pay her bride price, take her as your responsibility and still find her appealing as she go through all stages of life from pregnancy to childbirth, then you better love her really well.
while men should love the women they marry, if we are to pick who to love the other more, it's better for the woman to love the man more...
By the way what is powering electric vehicles-- is it not electricity produced from gas stations? So except u are doing nuclear stations, oil and gas will still be a major thing.
nairalanda1: Disclaimer...I am a big EV fan and have been since 2006.
The thing is, EV's are not going to totally take over the world yet. For everyone to own an EV, it means that electriicty grids worldwide would have to be scaled up, drastically. That is going to cost a lot of money.
Also, planes and boats. At the moment there is no EV subsititue for both of these things...and they carry a lot of cargo.
Most of the third world and second word don't have access to electricty yet. That has to be fixed, and that takes time...plus, again grid has to be updated.
And then there is the battery problem. All batteries run down eventually.
Solomon sacrificed a thousand bulls and someone is telling u not to give just a fraction of ur income?
kuntash: Another thread with the sole purpose of discouraging the propagation of Gods word or message.
You use the false teachers or insincere priests as justification, whereas you don't proffer any alternative how to propagate the message. Go and find out how difficult it is if spread Gods word these days especially over the internet. You condemn tithes and offerings and expect the structure of the house of God to be maintained and fixed by who ?
DO YOU KNOW WHAT SOLOMON DID BEFORE GOD BLESSED HIM? LETS TRY NOT TO BE AN AGENT AGAINST THE SPREAD OF THE WORD OF GOD
Solomon did far more than tithing, and he also suffered the consequences of drifting away from God's ways despite his promise of God in blessing for his life ...
The wiles of the enemy is quite tough and potent these days , Let Christians be well guided especially when you are quite fresh in the race or considering accepting Christ .
But why will u bash someone's car and that without remorse? thats not good
Sonnobax15: Op,I think you're a sensible banny,even tho I'm not completely sure of that...
You see, that's one of the major challenges we, transporters pass through in the hands of those useless and wayward guys who think having a big car has just made them to arrive in Life . Bashed the car of one the other day and he came down from his car and start ranting.....Nigha even threatened to break my windscreen . It was the banny who was with the mad cow in his car that later calmed him down.......
Some guys dey over do cha, especially when they are with a low budget banny whom they are trying to impress
Any man that has had a near death experience is not afraid of dying,
Getting to Morocco against all odds should further boost your zeal to cross to Europe, but you saying you returned back to Nigeria by yourself, makes me doubt this story, It's either it's made up Or you are not a fighter
We Get what we aim for or we die trying, There is no grey area once the mind is made up,
gofigurena: Hi again, everyone. I'm happy to announce that despite the fears and my mistake, everything turned out perfectly fine. Won't be heading back to the East today because we concluded late. Will take off morrow morning.
Congratulations is in order because that was very high risk.. it's a risk doesn't mean it will happen but then it should be avoided! And in your case there was nothing to gain at all from taking that risk.. Thank God for u once again.
3Trillion from less than 1T some 3 years back without corresponding development.. this shows the high level of inflation in the country and it also brings the question of how the budget will be funded-- from debt again?
Kobojunkie: That one should not be your own business at all because you are there to school the kids as the parents want you to. And I would not trust the Ministry of Education in Nigeria when it comes to what is right or wrong for my kids.
So they should continue pampering and spoiling the kids right? if that woman is not careful, she will.produce failures in mass from her school. @OP, u should for other schools to.teach! that's not a workable school system. it will soon implode educationally and disciplinewise
important things selling the car can get 1. start a biz generating cashflow 1m 2. install solar to have power and avoid spending on 1k petrol and band A tariff 500k 3. pay debt of 500k 4. extra: get a bus that can also generate cashflow
risk: business fails: likelihood: low: its the typical street buying and selling.. just sell what people need around, put necessary safe guards.. uur wife should man thr business herself.
opportunity cost: not having a family car to church on Sundays possibility of dollar inflation making it impossible to buy another car ALTERNATE ACTION BENEFITS: Keep the car, enjoy your less than 1 hour trip to church and back No risk of inflation to buy another car
opportunity cost no other cashflows u might find it difficult to cough out the more than 1m that will be needed for fuelling and maintenance in a year.
the choice.is CLEAR.. sell the car(ensure it is sold at current market rate; what car is it?) Ensure that u learn very well about the businesses and put appropriate risk management in place when doing the businesses
Every issue should not be left for the president to act upon. We have people in place that should have stop this in the first place, so why must everything be hanged on the president neck when even he himself might not know what is going on?
We can’t progress like this because this will mean people tasked to do their job will always get a pass. If it need the president to give the order, why then do we appoint people for specific job?
can u explain in a few sentences how his policies will revolutionize the country?
haybhi1: Lol, I'm actually proud of Tinubu as an Omoluabi. Man's achieved a lot his whole life. Brought aesthetics to modern Lagos. Even worked for an international company (ExxonMobil)-something never reserved for third class' like the inept Peter Gregory Obi. Lol.
And now Tinubu has made lots of reforms that'll revolutionize the country and shape its future. And indeed he comes to my mind less than he does your people's mind. A day without talking about him, y'all regret and may die.
Thundafireseun: There is nothing wrong in chasing your dreams…
World best UFC fighter Francis Nganu Cameroonian guy went through this route ….. he even passed through Nigeria to the desert and today his story is great
one out of millions ? the odds are very off... is that u want an human to live?
while this might be true for the poor man it doesn't mean the rich man is right!! and that's the main point ... and btw the bolt driver didn't disrespect him.. what he didn't do was to kiss d rep dude's feet
Lonestar124: I serve my boss for six years in business, I know how he treated me, but I never attached emotions while handling issues with him.
I was logical to know that am the one that wanted something from him, and I got it!!!
Most of the favours and connections I have today was gotten through him..
A wise man knows when to say sorry while dealing with his superior.
Na the poor man go lose last last, if he decides to take the issue to other level
sorry about the promotion missed.. but in case of next time, while u are still in Nigeria, d mistake made on that day was queing to buy fuel knowing fully well it was a long queue.. u prolly should have take a cab or even jump bus.
Also, don't also make the mistake of moving from frying pan to fire.. yes frying pan is hot and unpalatable but then look at how much worse fire is... Despite the situation, pple need to evaluate (not just in money terms but racism, relationship, family, culture, weather) if indeed out there is better for them!!
Beekeeper1: I’ve always been that person who says, “Naija till I die!” I grew up here, spent my whole life here, and I love this place like it’s part of my DNA. The food, the culture, the vibe—there’s just nothing like it. Even when my friends left for “greener pastures,” I was here, holding down the fort. “Who will remain to fix Naija if we all run away?” I’d joke.
But last month, my patriotism met its match.
It all started on a Monday morning—the kind that already feels like it’s out to get you before it even begins. I had a big presentation that day, one that could finally lead to a promotion. I got up extra early, suit pressed, slides perfected, and was out the door, determined to make a great impression.
Then NEPA happened. Halfway through my morning routine, the lights went out. No electricity. “No wahala,” I thought, scrambling to find my power bank for my phone and a flashlight to finish getting ready. I wasn’t going to let a little thing like no power stop me, right?
As I headed out, I noticed the fuel gauge blinking “empty.” Just my luck. I made a quick detour to the petrol station, only to be greeted by a line that looked like half of Lagos was there. An hour later, I was still in that line, watching the time tick by as my promotion dreams started slipping out of reach. But I finally got fuel, threw a thank you to the attendant, and sped off, hoping to make up for lost time.
And then I hit the traffic. Not today, please, I thought, gripping the steering wheel, whispering every “I cast and bind” prayer I knew. But Lagos traffic doesn’t answer prayers—it just swallows time, no matter how hard you beg.
I was almost at the office when I got stopped. You guessed it—police checkpoint. The officer took his sweet time inspecting my documents, dropping hints about “something for the weekend,” and I watched the last precious minutes melt away. By the time he finally waved me off, I’d missed my meeting.
When I finally got to the office, my boss didn’t even let me explain. She just gave me the look, that one that says, You had one job. I knew then that any hope for that promotion was gone.
That was it. I was drained, frustrated, and completely over it. It was like the universe was telling me, “Oga, it’s time to go.”
I don’t want to leave Naija; I really don’t. But sometimes, loving this place feels like being in a relationship with someone who just can’t get it together. You see the potential, the charm, the good heart underneath, but there’s always something—always some last-minute obstacle, some hidden clause that makes it so hard.
So yeah, I have a ‘japa’ plan now. I still love this place, and I always will. But maybe I need to love it from afar, with a little less “NEPA wahala” and a bit more stability. It’s a bittersweet plan, but hey, maybe one day I’ll come back, and Nigeria will be ready to meet me halfway.
Until then, my ‘japa’ plan is officially on standby. Because as much as I love this place, sometimes love just isn’t enough.
gofigurena: I was worried about this exact same thing. There was no time for lawyers and besides my lawyer isn't in Lagos. But we signed a proper agreement. I'll post the photos here soon. The agreement includes the chassis number of the car I bought, so, that should prevent them from trying to give me even another model of the same car.
have u not been living in ds country since? why will u take that kind of risk? what if they remove catalyst or switch very major parts for bad ones? what if they sell the car and given one of poorer standard? or they tell u $ rate has gone up so price has gone up.. u should have just gone back in November and choose what u want, carry it and go.. u too like wahala o.. u better go and carry the car this weekend
1) you call those top importers... Ask them what they import they can get locally if money is not an issue
2) you give them the money through banks at a super low intrest
What do you think the effects would be
I agree with LegendHero that money is not the only problem. There is money-- banks, ultra rich individuals and foreign investors ... but what do we have- FIs are even running away, banks don't want lend too..CBN did some agric & manufacturing interventions but it wasn't very successful.. There are issues of policy inconsistency, rule of law, ease of doing business & insecurity that is limiting these import substitution... For instance, we imported maize for the first time sometime ago-a shameful thing- because pple couldn't go to the farms to plant harvest, maize!
richmond500: improve revenue, renegotiate debt payment and make lasting decisions that will bounce back the business.
It's same model the present administration is doing. U can't be borrowing more to expand business that is choked with debt already.
we import a lot so revenue is foreign earnings(or what will substitute for import)... I can't see much of how this govt is working on improving that revenue... I see them trying to reduce borrowing by reducing our luxuries but I can't see much on improving revenue
hmm. so u are looking more into import substitution and massive exportation drive asides crude & minerals. I wanted to point out that the fundamental problem is revenue which is what led to the borrowing to keep up.. And yet, nobody is talking about improving that revenue as a matter of emergency!!
mrvitalis: The problem is Nigeria is focused on selling one products that others are selling and selling to sale cheaper than your production cost
The trick is to borrow more money and start selling other products that are moving
We import stock fish from Norway valued at about 30 million dollars yearly... But Norway imports chocolate valued at 200 million dollars per year
Offer interest free loans to the already existing chocolate producers in Nigeria, link them up to Norway chocolate importers to produce according to the taste of Norway people ( this is why Presidents make trips)
We import from China, but china needs corn to feeds it's pigs ducks and chicken... U know what else can replace corn? Dried cassava
Empower our cassava farmers, given loans to buy equipments to dry cassava chips and link then to China to balance our trade
This are just few examples... Things things no hard we have not just had smart leaders
