I have stated earlier that Sterling doesn't pay industry standard. For allowances it depends on your unit.

Work schedule differs, depending on your unit. Some do 28 on and 14 out. Some units 21 in and 7 out.

I've been thinking about these questions of late.

The truth is you can't be outside the marriage framework and learn how to mitigate challenges in the home.
Well, a brief about myself: December last year, made my marriage 10years, with 3 adorable kids.
From my experience so far, the most important tool to having a successful home is COMMUNICATION!!
Most of the so called challenges in every marriage can be avoided only if we can learn to communicate more with our spouses.
Here are my counsel:
1) As you desire your partner to be that "better half" decide to be the better half also. Remember, like attracts like.
2) Give your partner the space to live. Do not seek to make your spouse fit into your mold. S/he is a human and has goals and dreams, so let them go ahead to live their dreams as long as it doesn't cause the marriage to suffer.
As earlier stated, communication is key. Most times our actions, reactions and responses are based on assumptions. We assumed we understood the intentions of our spouse and there by react wrongly. When we communicate more, we will have better home (s).

Sterling is a drilling company, with 7rig locations spread across different states in Nigeria.
2 rigs are at Akwa ibom, 3at Anambra state, 1 at Imo and 1in Delta State.
For accommodation, we use the usual cabin with A/c, though not very comfortable compare to some other rigs.
There are different Engineering dept, such as: Drilling Engineers, Completion Engineers, Mud Engineers etc.
Salaries: As I stated in my earliest post, Welfare isn't the industry standard. It's an Indian conglomerate. Concerning non payment of salaries, I haven't experienced such since I joined them about 4 years ago. Infact salaries for the month of March were paid across various departments from 26 thro Friday 2nd April. Maybe just to add that during the heat of the Covid, drilling stopped in all the rigs for more than a month but salaries were paid. These are my experiences, please, do compare with that of others and make informed decision. God bless you.

My father in-law has been working with National Identity Management Commission since 01-10-1987 as Clerical Officer II. Then it was Department of National Civic Registration.

In August 2010 he was given approval by the management NIMC to undertake a part time degree programme in Psychology Department at Enugu State University of Science and Technology.

Then August 15th 2020, he received disengagement letter from the commission on the ground that he did not possess a minimum requisite qualification of Bachelor Degree when he was already in the University in pursuit of Bachelor of Science Degree as approved.
Fast forward to 2012/2013 academic session, he graduated with Second Class Honour (Upper Division) in Psychology same year he was disengaged.

In a memo dated Tuesday 5th March 2019 from AGM/Head Human Capital Management Department NIMC. The management approved a period of five years grace to all the staff of the commission who do not possess a minimum requisite qualification of Bachelor degree to obtain same before 31st December 2023 which is the same approval given to him by the management.

My question is why is his own different? I have all the documents with me both photocopy and original.

I do not mean to dampen your move to get justice for your father in-law. I was in the system at the said time, and left in 2013 to the oil and gas industry. Well, this was what transpired. The disengagement was a Nation wide exercise and was done since 2012/2013. Some disengaged staff have already graduated from school but were yet to get their success letters, hence they could not show evidence of graduation. It's obvious he didn't FORWARD AN EVIDENCE to show he possessed the minimum requisite required by the commission. They were paid their severance package immediately. There was a Nation wide outcry and the Senate intervene but nothing tangible came out of it as usual. N/B, it wasn't done to a single individual but Nation wide. It was actually a sorry sight.

What exactly are you looking out to get? E.g, names of those who have occupied that office? Required grade level etc. Be specific with your question.
