Good morning family. Please, I need help with these questions from anyone who has traveled to the US recently:

a. What specific covid test is required?

b. Did you apply for PTA via the TRMS and how long did it take to get a response?

c. What follow up action can I take if I have not received a response in 3 days?

d. Is there a way to check for status update on the TRMS portal?

Thanks a million in anticipation of your speedy response.

You must possess a passport valid for travel to the United States with a validity date at least six months beyond your intended period of stay in the United States (unless country-specific agreements provide exemptions).#copied

Hello, house,
Pls, can a Visa be granted on a passport that will expire in less than 6months? Our interview is in May and my Son passport will expire in August.

I believe the requirement is not less than 6 months validity on your passport.

Hello, I would advise you to use yourself as a sponsor and book a hotel.

I got my first US visit visa three months after I commenced my Master's programme. It was in London and during the interview I was asked which State I was going to and why I chose that particular State. I was also asked what I was doing before my masters and how I was finding the programme.

Just relax and be optimistic. Best wishes.author=Luccilucci post=111757114]Hi everyone,
I am a student in London applying for a Usa visiting visa. I have been denied a visiting visa once in Nigeria in 2018.
My program is still January 2023 and my brp ends in May 2023, Two years msc program. I am 33, unmarried, female.
Pls how do I go about my application not be denied
Do I use myself as sponsor, do I use a hotel as place of stay or a friends address.

I need guidance please. Thank you!!
I just received this as a text message, '
You can pick up your passport at DHL delivery location on Saturday April 09 if you already have the notification to the effect. Check your email for more detailI jorec'.
Meanwhile my application status is still reading, ' application received'.

Noted thanks but should that not apply to only those that have been issued/ refused but yet to receive notification for pick up .

There are a few steps before pick up or does DHL notification affect when case is updated. Just wondering .
Hello Nairalanders, good morning to you all. For those wondering why their IW application status is showing 'application received' after weeks of submission, I am in the same boat but received the following message from USvisaNGA, 'DHL is experiencing technical issues preventing applicants from receiving notifications when their passports are ready for pickup. Check email for more details'. There is nothing in my mail yet but it looks like they are having some technical issues.

I guess we should all chill.amd wait it out.

Good evening Nairalanders, hope you're all having a lovely weekend.

Please I am trying to renew my visa and need help me with these questions:

1. In the application form, what is meant by 'locations you plan to visit in the US?' Is it a reference to tourist sites or cities within the US?

2. Will it impact my application in any way, if I arrive in one state (e.g Washington) and depart from another (e.g California)? I need to know how best to respond to the question about arrival and departure City and this will also help me plan my movement within the US.

Thank you all so much

Good morning Nairalanders, please can anyone who has done Dropbox this year tell me where exactly documents are dropped off in Lagos. Is it DHL or the American Embassy?

Also, I have been reading previous posts and wish to know if the comment that only an applicant can drop off documents is a new development because I had dropped off documents for my mum and sister in previous years even though I was not an applicant at the time.

Thanks a lot everyone in anticipation of your prompt response.

Hello Lady G. Thanks for your prompt response. My first visa was issued in London.. However, I have read d requirements several times and the first criteria specifies that the applicant should be a Nigerian passport holder or if not then he/she must be resident in Nigeria n his visa issued in Nigeria. It looks like one or the other.

Hello Nairalanders. Please I require assistance with regard to getting my US dropbox confirmation letter. My B1/B2 visa was issued in London and it will be expiring on the 8th of December. I'm a Nigerian and I'm fully back in Nigeria now. I created a new account for scheduling appointment and getting my dropbox confirmation letter but after answering the eligibility for dropbox/exemption from interview questions, a page for selection of appointment date appeared. I think this should not be so since I meet the requirement for dropbox. Please what did I do wrong? I'll appreciate some guidance please. Many thanks in anticipation.
