nikkyshyne:Best reply I have seen from pages 1 - 5 of this thread. Ladies, as much as u want to give in to those cravings and desires, pls always strike a friendship with him first ( if u haven't been friends before). For me, I wouldn't be swayed by a Lady's pretty face or bold features , for long, but what endures in my heart is those virtues and values I observe in the babe, and of course I wouldn't see all these attributes unless we are friends .I have had 2 ladies who confronted me and told me how they felt. One was only crushing from a distance and wouldn't meet me until she sent a message. I insisted I wanted to meet ger . we met and I didn't have interest in her. I turned her down politely and told her we could still be friends, I will not treat her witg disdain ...blablabla. ![]() The second, we are close friends and she tells me everything until she let the cat out of the bag. She is not my taste and as a gentleman, I assured her that our relationship has not been affected in any way. We are still good friends. My dear ladies, friendship is always the starting point . if I have never had any form of relationship with a babe and by chance I sent some signals and she just fall for me yakata like that, only God knows if our 'new' relationship can work Ooo . |

I feel for them though. And for those saying this was caused by buahari, NO it wasn't . I also had this business idea, exactly this one, but I didn't know it had been on ground before I even conceived mine. ![]() I had sleepless nights trying to develop a sustainable model for this business, trust me I still haven't formulated the ultimate one. The idea is to start first with trust: build an atmosphere of trust, create a culture of integrity and we give the assurance of security. My business wasn't going to be free, but it will be the cheapest you will get anywhere, enough to fuel the driver's vehicle and the benefit of companionship. I didn't plan to compete with transport companies at the start, but with a bigger customer base which we must have built on trust, and integrity, we can easily scale up. But the issue with the Nigerian business atmosphere is that there is a deep rooted trust problem in the society. Nigerians are wicked, conniving and manipulative. A platform like this would be pervaded and infiltrated by kidnappers and ritualists. Even Uber couldn't avoid this. But this is where the funds of your investors come in. I planned to employ customer care and computer guys of all sorts, deploy a tracking app, which enables both the driver and the hiker to check in at intervals throughout the whole journey and of course when each gets to his destination. But this is deeper and more complex than I can pen down here. But we can always seek ideas, employ the best minds and improve on an existing model. And that is one of the issues tech business must seek to overcome if we must be at the fore front of innovation. We must develop a new culture, tradition different from the ones we were brought up with. We must have good experiences that will be ingrained in our minds and of course the future generations that we value lives, we respect every nigerian's unalienable right to life, and that the quest for riches doesn't erode our values and virtues. God help us in this country. |

Unlike some of our brothers down south, a mantee is a good meat for October 1 celebration. In delta state, an ape was butchered when a mini zoo can be built for it. I think this is the third mantee killed in bayelsa this year alone. One thing we should realise is that we will only overcome hunger when we reason beyond our stomach, when we refuse to satisfy that urge for instant gratification. We can only be wealthy when we see money beyond a means for living ostentatiously. |

All i can see is govts of Ogun and Oyo that are clueless and lack initiative. My proposition is this: 1). Develop real estate in ur states (private firms can get this done for you, just create a good and a positive business environment for them) 2). Oyo, Ogun govts should woo lagos govt into co-operating with them to link the 3 states with high speed bullet trains. Route 1 will be Oyo to ogun (ogun and ondo can also be linked) to lagos (terminus in epe, lekki) while lagos continue to work on its city rails. Route 2: via lagos-ibadan express road. This is not a federal govt thing. The one proposed by federal govt can take forever to be implemented. There won't be any need for congestion if neighbouring states can absorb the overflow. Oyo state is like 5 times larger than lagos in terms of land mass. Ogun is like 4 times bigger than lagos. Our Governors should engage their brains for once ![]() |
The budget killer just landed today. I ordered from Leagoo specialty store on aliexpress. Price $63. I collected the package @ unilag post office. The fone is cool. I didnt expect much from the camera. But if there is enough ilumination, the camera both front and rear are beasts. The camera noise is too much, so the dragging. The firmware is ok and working perfectly and it runs on 7.0 nougaut. I love it but you can tempt me to sell it sha if you love it better than i do ![]()

Why should anyone blame or accuse dangote of monopoly? No other billionaire in Nigeria operates at his level. The level of his investment is massive. He is ready to take risks and expand his empire. But what do the likes of Otedola, Adenuga, Alakija, Ubah etc do? They are just ok with the little billions they earn from their assets or businesses. They are not ready to take on risks. Otedola is contented with the importation of refined products, Famfa Oil is ok with the proceeds from her OML who knows and her share of profits from Agbami fields. Obviously, Nigeria's billionaires do not even deserve to be billionaires. They are not creative, they lack ideas and they are complacent. No wonder, they are always looked down on. Any billionare can do what Dangote is doing if truly they have that business acumen and truly they want to be better. |
I am a little bit disappointed with many responses here. He wants to break in through Adamawa and kastina states. He builds his solar plants there and have charging stations built across the important cities in the states. He does not plan to connect to the National grid in any way. From business point of view, i'd love to see how he achieves this, given the high initial costs of purchasing an electric vehicle and much more, the cost of setting up 100MW solar plants and charging stations. Unless he has some government body subsidising the costs for him. Although Electric vehicle will not pose any threats to ICEngine vehicles in Nigeria and for many countries in Africa; at least not in 10-15yrs from now, but whether we like it or not, the Nigerian Market is a fertile ground and with our unbridled thirst for luxury, class and foreign brands (even when they are not sustainable), we should begin to see these vehicles coming into Nigeria. It is a good initiative though. He must have thought this through, must have had assurance from potential buyers who will patronise his cars(of course, his early buyers would be politicians and the elites). But when the economic indicies of Nigeria are on the negative scale, with over 112million nigerians living below $1 a day, Adammawa and Kastina states are not like London and California, He must think highly of himself as a messiah ![]() |

Kay17:Mr Kay17 To be candid, the cost to revamp the whole system is gigantic and is not sustainable. This is what they won't tell the public. Fashola, unintentionally said that the investors that bought the NEPA/PHCN assets knew the state of the infrastructures before they acquired them. The DISCOs are not ready to revamp these systems. The transmission National Company of Nigeria (TCN) is only managing the situation and they cant undertake a mammoth revamp. The positives of a decentralized system is that it eliminates the challenges associated with long distance transmission which are losses due to resistance heating along the lines, inductance losses etc. Again, you eliminate the occurrence of a back-feeding on the lines to the generation source resulting from load rejection (as we have experienced about three times in the past 12 months) which damages the system. In a decentralized grid, you get the produced electricity to the consumers instantaneously and no load rejection. You also scale up at your ease. The economic significance is that, manufacturing companies will know want to site their industries where there is guaranteed power supply, so imagine we have about thirty 30 -100MW power plants scattered all across the country, there would be rapid industrialization in these regions. I tell you that in 2-3 years after the plants commence operation, Nigeria will be able to record appreciable development and growth. The national grid can just focus on residential loads by utilizing existing facilities and of course, should get them to work optimally. Government can encourage competition by allowing private investors to also feed homes and offices. Consumers can decide to chose which utility provider he wants. An argument for the national grid is that a lot has been sunk into these structures. But i tell you, a lot more would be sunk into revamping it. There is nothing like repairing cables, you get new ones. The infrastructures (or asset as they would call it) are dilapidated and outdated, so revamping the whole system is like setting up National grid all over again. Exchange rate is not smiling at us, so the total overhead cost is overwhelming, thus, it is not feasible for Nigeria to take on. |
