Can someone please tell me what this A/T part does? My mechanic calls it a flat switch and it's been responsible for my transmission not selecting properly

GAZZUZZ:My mechanic said he got another TP sensor from Oyingbo |
Thanks guys for all the care and love. The car just recently left the workshop and it's recovering. The following were carried out; 1. Diagnostic scan which discovered misfire in all 6 cylinders. 2. Damaged throttle position sensor. 3. Faulty solenoid(A/T). 4. Faulty flat switch (A/T). 5. Faulty Bank 1 (oxygen) sensor. All but 5 has been fixed as by replacing all the mentioned parts and by servicing the nozzles and changing the plugs and coils. 5 is yet to be fixed as the correct sensor is yet to be procured by my mechanic. Fuel economy has really improved as testing is still ongoing. Best regards Belvinho |

Something still beats my imagination in all of these events with some vital questions remaining unanswered. If the late Minister's vehicle was overspeeding, at what speed was the pilot vehicle which is supposed to be in front of the principal vehicle moving? As no one has said anything about the speed of the pilot vehicle |
[quote author=GAZZUZZ post=43647835]I couldn't have said it better. Thank you. How can we fix these issues as the functionality of the car is one that I cannot undermine. What's the probable cost of repairs. Can you please highlight what each aspect of the repair will cost. |

Hello Tech Gurus, I'm typing this due to desperation and frustration. My car which is a 2001 3.0L Honda Accord V6 has been guzzling fuel like no man's business. Prior to this, I was getting 270 miles to a full tank which was quite far from the fuel economy I should have been getting. This became worse 2weeks ago when my Check Engine Light started blinking, my fuel economy degraded to 150 miles to a full tank (64 litres) The car was scanned and discovered misfire in all 6 cylinders. The plugs and coil were changed as well the Throttle Position Sensor. The nozzles were also serviced and the movement of the car which was sluggish returned to normal. All codes were cleared before I took the car out of the workshop. 2 days later, the Check Engine light started blinking again with the fuel consumption even becoming worse. I now do about 120 miles to a full tank which makes me buy fuel almost on a daily basis. The car is my major source of transportation as I usually resume work very early in the morning when I'm running morning shifts and close very late when running the evening. I'm open to all forms of advice as that of my mechanic hasn't helped one bit. Cheers |

Some people won't carry out any research before they come online to spew sweet nonsense. The Chancellor position in any Nigerian University is a celebrated position, the actual administration of the University is carried out by the Vice Chancellor in collaboration with the Governing Council and the Senate. So carry out your research well dude. To cap it all, the Chancellor position is always given to traditional rulers. iambabaG: |

antobrige:How much is power steering rack for 2001 Accord V6, as well as the left upper and lower arms? |
Honda 2001 to 2002 has immobilizer installed in them and the key is coded. Is this feature easily breached when an attempt to steal them occurs? The Camry I know doesn't have this security feature. |
Hello Gurus in the house, I observed something wierd in my car today. It's a 2001 Accord V6. The power I got when moving from start was variable. Also I feel jerks when the car was trying to change gear. I later drove d car like a manual changing gears from D1 to D4 and noticed that the jerking stopped when I did this. Could this be the start of the ever present Auto transmission issues found in this model? |
Thanks Guys, I got the car fixed without changing the Gasket. The water pump which was changed was the genesis of the whole problem. The brand new water pump which was changed was responsible. Just before the gasket was to be changed, another mechanic asked that the car be scanned after which it was tested with another radiator. The new guy immediately asked for the water pump to be changed. A Tokunbo water pump from Ladipo was fixed and the car now moves like a Jetliner. |
I'm currently in a serious dilemma, I'm currently paying a price I never bargained for. My 2001 Honda Accord V6 had a water pump issue. This subsequently led to a overheating incident. The water pump was changed, but the temperature gauge still refuses to drop. I changed the thermostat even washed the radiator yet no change. My mechanic said there's no other option than to change the gasket. He said the Gasket will cost an average of #10,000. 1. I wanna know if there's any adverse effect that could affect the performance of the car after the gasket has been changed. 2. What is the likelihood of such problem resurfacing? |
I'm yet to get any advice on this. |
Please stick to the budget. Thanks |
The stress of jumping from one bus to the other to and from work has made almost all my hair go grey. These features are what I'm looking out for; 1. Automatic Transmission. 2. Saloon/Sedan style. 3. Functioning Air Conditioner 4. Leather seat but clean fabric seat will just be ok Please post pictures and feel free to contact me on 08113706901. Abeg no jalopy ![]() |
