quentin06:Tirii gbosa for you. Some people still don't understand the workings of the restaurant business. Places like KFC and Domino's is where you eat occasionally while places like The place, sweet sensation, Kilimanjaro, Mega chicken et al is where you walk up to any time to eat a meal. Ultimately, the former would struggle with sales during the week and make money at weekends and festive periods. Over time, this affects the break even time coupled with high operational cost. If you must know, it's actually cheaper running a restaurant at a mall, Airport or a location where facilities are shared. Despite the high cost of rent and service charges, business with exceptional products stand out as they'll always have repeat patronage from old customers as well as referrals which is what makes them survive. |
GAZZUZZ:Oga mi, I'm currently suffering from a similar problem but only when the AC is running. When AC is turned of, the car idles smoothly and around 800 RPM. Once the AC comes on, the RPM starts dancing between 200 and 400 with serious vibration. To stabilize, I'd have to raise the RPM to 1000 by throttling. How do I overcome this issue? Car is a 2001 Honda Accord V6. |
9free:Are you based in Lagos? Saw it at a Total service station around Ijanikin in Lagos. It goes for #500 per litre. |
I don't think this thing works. Everything I've searched has been invalid even when its valid on NVIS has returned valid. |

GAZZUZZ: P0131 Would be replaced as soon as possible. P0171: How can this be solved? |

Oga Boss, my car threw these codes; P0170, P071 and P0131. What's the solution to this, my fuel economy is quite terrible. Help!!!!!!!!!!!! |
The gearbox was changed. Running the car for over 40 minutes compromised it. After changing the pipe, the car refused to select properly. A scan on the car showed AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION. My appreciation was the way and manner Livinhubby took his time to source for a very good Gearbox, his professionalism and providing a soft payment plan. From the moment i contacted him, he wasn't about the money but about providing a solution. In this present day, very little people will give goods and render service without collecting their money in full. |
To begin with, I never thought that people like Livinhubby still exist. At least not during this economic recession. My story begins thus. I drive a 2001 Honda Accord V6, which is an everyday car for me. I return from work very late (at least 11:30pm) and as such needs my car to be fully functional. Two weeks ago, while driving on third mainland bridge, I kept losing the 4th gear as the car was revving so high and jerked violently. I quickly shifted to the 3rd gear and reduced my speed. Few minutes later I lost the 3rd gear and a state of confusion took over. To make matters worse, I could not park as this was the fishing ground for LASTMA. Upon getting to my destination which was Victoria Island 20 minutes later, I noticed a trail of ATF. Opened the hood and saw ATF splattered everywhere. The hose sending fluid from the transmission to the radiator for cooling had ruptured and ATF was gushing out. I got a mechanic from the office I visited and he got the hose repaired after which we filled the transmission with 2 litres of ATF. The transmission never remained the same after then. Driving back to the mainland was an uphill task as even keke was faster than I was. My transmission had been starved of lubrication and friction took over to render it inoperable. I called several mechanics to help get it changed. Some called exorbitant prices with outrageous installation prices while others gave outrageously low prices for this repair. I then called Livinhubby who I had started doing business with 2 weeks earlier. He told me to bring the car over. Fast forward to today, my car drives smoothly, gear changes promptly and feels like a race car. I don't know how else to show my appreciation, as the Thank You I said after picking up the car seems to feel very small. You even gave me a flexible payment plan. THANK YOU so much LIVINHUBBY |
addey44:Was driving last week and listening to music. Next thing I heard was a very loud horn. I was a bit shocked ( as I was driving at 70km/h). Only to realize it was a KOS delivery guy with a trailer horn. Felt like pushing the dude of the road. |
RichDad1:That's because fuel attendants have targets to meet. Else why will they jostle for customers when they've got to collect the equivalent of fuel sold to the customer. With the economic turmoil, they hail and serve you well so they can be tipped. This explanation excerpt wasn't written for Nigeria let's be watchful of what we copy and paste here as conditions aren't always the same for places they were written for. |
Still on this security and tracker issue, where is the best place to hide a tracker? Some thieves are so damn good at locating this. |
nurey:This kind of security sound very interesting. Wouldn't mind installing that provided it prevents any story for the gods. |
Honda Hala for 300k happy selling |
Ifebazz:Kindly take a look at your owners manual under fuel economy and you'll see the explanation as regards usage of AC. In mine, it advices me to roll up my glass at speeds above 60km/h for efficient fuel economy and turn on the AC if need be. While at speeds lower than 60km/h, roll down the glass and turn off the AC. The reasons for this being; 1. Your engine powers your compressor which in turn puts more load on the engine. To compensate for this load, the engine works more and consumes more fuel doing this. NB at low speed At high speeds, the extra load from the AC is almost insignificant as the engine is running at optimum performance. 2. Driving at high speed with the windows down will allow wind to move into the car thereby causing drag and reduce the aerodynamics of the car. At such speeds as 130km/h on the highway, the car is supposed to move through air as hot knife through butter. 3. V6 engines are built for speed and as such consume less fuel at high speeds and more at low speed, (note high speed is above 75km) therefore I'd agree that for a journey which an I4 consumes 50 litres, a V6 would consume less if all components were functioning properly. Hello Frozenfirenaija, I'd like to appreciate your wonderful story, please keep it up. Just a few points of correction I'd like you to adopt, please increase tour line spacing to allow readability. Also, make use of paragraphs as often as possible by hitting the ENTER button. To be frank, following your story of recent has be a bit difficult due to the above stated reasons. Cheers Belvinho |
Dear Pmadise, the basis on which I started this thread in 2015 was to understand the price difference between cars of same year from 2 competing brands. I followed my heart and purchased a Baby Boy and I've really known no regrets. The Honda accord from performance and design is a superior car. Its low pricing in my opinion is due to the delicate transmission which fails if the wrong ATF is used as well as fear of ball joint breakage. These two problems can be handled by using the right (original) ball joint and ATF. Please if you must compare cars, use cars of the same year and class eg, Accord vs Camry, Civic vs Corolla, Highlander vs Pilot, sienna vs Odessey. Thank you |
Tolexander:Agreed........The Americans like to blend in. You will be surprised that that the guy on the white hat is a security operative as well as the person being served. They like to blend in while we like to stand out. |
This child just expressed her love for me in four words that speaks volume. As for me, I'll print her picture and paste on my rear windshield. Afterwards I'd coat the surface with Anti-rust. |
Hello Kunle, Do you have 2005 Honda Accord LX? |
Good day people, In January, I was stopped by VIO officials. After their usual question and answer session, a ticket of forty thousand was issued to me. Offenses included broken wind screen and expired extinguisher. After clearing myself, I changed the wind screen and replaced the extinguisher. This morning I noticed a crack on the screen and from experience, this tends to increase with time. How can I arrest this crack which is more of a DOT right now from spreading. Cheers |
Macmilla:What you did not state is the year you car was produced. Pic A is the engine for 2000 - 2002 Honda Accord coupe and saloon. Pic B can't say Pic C 1998 and 1999 model. |
Permit me to book my space |
masterblogger:It's quite pathetic that someone will look at pictures and draw conclusion from them without knowing the bus route to this place. I spent my service year in thus town and I'd tell you categorically that you can take one ride in a tricycle from one end of the town to the other (CASS - Presco) and (Rice mill - Kpirikpiri). Those roads that OP showed though we're very good during the tenure of Martin Elechi (Ochi-Udo). Terrible roads that existed during my stay were; 1. Rice mill road 2. Afikpo road from sperando 3. Enugu road. NB: I served in 2012 |
Can someone please convert £65 to naira and let's see how much was spent purchasing a full tank. If I'm right, that amount fuels my small 2001 Honda Accord v6 for 3 weeks. |
I really need expertise on this matter. The issue I'm batteling is one that reocurred. My mechanic replaced the Dual Linear Solenoid (Flat Switch) of my transmission about 2 weeks ago. Prior to this, my gear wasn't changing appropriately. 2 days ago, I noticed leaks coming out of the transmission and took the car back to the Mechanic to get it checked out. He noticed that the leaks were coming from the flat switch whgich was replaced. Upon, sealing the leak, I left the workshop and barely 5 minutes later, my car refused to engage the second gear. Right now my mechanic is telling me that the switch hardly goes bad and he is very sure of the quality of the switch (Solenoid) that he purchased and my best bid right now will be to replace the transmission. Attached is a picture of the solenoid which I think is responsible for this issue.
