Dear NLs, I read some topics regarding best internet connection, fastest internet connection, etc. Consensus on any one connection is simply impossible for obvious reasons.
I had worked with Direct On PC and am using their Unwired 4G service now in Lekki-1. I am having 4G Pro plan with 2mbps speed. I must say; it is really fast and haven't seen any such connection elsewhere. I wonder if any of you have used their service and how has your experience been....Let us have candid feedback from users.

@Oluwa, Starcomms is in big trouble due to competition from gsm. So, probably, this is the way they want to fight back with Apple ipad which works for GSMs but not for CDMA (starcomms)

I have done the research and it is a chinese piece available at USD168. A cheap imitation of iPad and good for nothing

You can simply install real player onto your computer. It is a free media player available at www.real.com . After this installation, whenever you'll run any youtube video, it'll automatically show you a button on the upper right corner of the video stating download this video. Click on it and you are done. In fact, this will work for online videos on any website.

I have used DOPC and I think they are wonderful. I was tired of using iway and switched to DOPC by changing my hughes vsat modem. I guess; some ppl who are talking of slow speed on DOPCare using more than the recommended systems. we are using 6 PCs on 128/300kbps shared bandwidth plan and pay N266,300 or six months (so approx.44,400 per month). On the speedtest, we normally get 180-200kbps which I think is quite ok for this price. It is working very fine and they attend to the complaint promptly whenver we call. If u need good support from them; insist on the complaint registration number while talking to their technical support.

try DOPC's Unwired connection. There is no data download limit on it.

Use DOPC's unwired connection & expect 300-400kbps anytime.

try DOPC's Unwired wimax connection. you won't touch any other connection again.

Better buy a brand new "Unwired" wimax modem from DOPC @N12,000. I am using it & saw their advert in "The Guardian" newspaper today.

Try wimax connection instead. I am using "Unwired" from DOPC and it is very fast & stable.

a bit of info for people facing yahoo problem- problem of not accessing Yahoo has nothing to do with ISP. This problem is generally faced by cyber cafes in all parts of the world. What happens is if any of the visitor in cyber cafe is sending spam mails; yahoo will blacklist the IP. So, then, nobody from the same IP will be able to access Yahoo. Same will happen in case of Gmail or any other reputed email service. Anybody facing this problem can call his ISP to get his IP removed from blacklist of Yahoo or Gmail. CAUTION: If you dont take due care to stop spamming from the cafe; your IP will get blocked again & chances of opening it again will be lesser.

D best broadband internet is from DOPC. They call it Unwired. It is da cheap & da best among I have tested so far.

From my experience, I'll recommend DOPC (Direct On PC Ltd.). Though they are not perfect but by far better than others.

Try DOPC WiMAX Broadband. It costs N26,200 for equipment & then N29,250 for three months.

As many people here have mentioned, I fully agree that DOPC is the best. I am using their VSAT service for my business centre. It is good. And now, I have taken their new WiMAX broadband which is also very good. Try a connection from DOPC, it'll be better as compared to others.
