This is def a twin turbo. Mr Middleman, next time you have one of these please let me know - ill take it asap |
got to be the facelift s13 nissan 200sx 1994 (SR20det 2.0L turbo) too sexy.
|
300zx. ive not seen one in nigeria yet, been looking at a few 200sx's but cant find any clean ones, they dont seem to do very well here. -but unless you import a 300zx urself i highly doubt ull find a decent one, if u find 1 at all!
|
i was trying to be constructive ![]() ive never driven any high performance audi, only an s6 which wasnt anything special, but i heard theres supposed to be something special about the v10s, so people have done a4s with v8 conversions (a4 b6?)? i thought it would be too long with the gear box on it to fit in without extending the front panels and wings? i like both oranges and mangoes, but especially very fast ones ![]() |
ur acting like theres something wrong with the rs6!? do people not use the rs v10s in the normal a6 saloon models? like one of ur other threads where u were talking about putting the rs4 motor in the a4, ive seen a few pictures of a factory rs6 saloon, loving the pictures, specialy the carbon fibre in the interior ![]()
|
sorry dont have any, just helping u out with a photo ![]() |
how many hotcakes does it come with? and what flavour are they? |
wats it for?
|
is this serious?!?!? an acre!? |
ahh mate thank you so much. uve been so helpfull ![]() but u do know that im in nigeria, and im not sure that there are that many ford escort RS turbos kicking about, again i get the point with the integral wastegates. I think that under careful supervision i could get one of the fitters for the company i work for to do the mani and piping. hes very good with fabrication. but im still stuck with which car i could get one off. been seeing a lot of the lexus soaras around, but i believe they r twin turbo, but they do have integral wastegates from what i can remember. would a deisel turbo work? or are they designed differently? |
i was under the impression that a supercharger would be a lot easier to fit and live with, but from wat uve said about a turbo im begining to wonder. so literaly just carving up the exhaust manifold and sticking in a turbo with a manual boost controler and the cone airfilter on the end would be easier and more simple for what i want, it wouldnt suffer without a charge cooler? the turbo would need an oil supply?, possibly with an oil cooler as well? so confused!! do u have an idea of wat vehicles i could possibly nab a turbo off? you are now my new hero!! ![]() |
yeah, its seeming a bit difficult. Ive not seen the turbo version around yet, so dont even no if i can get the parts, but if was going to do that i would have either swapped the engine or bought the turbo to start with, i just thought that supercharging would be either. Ive spoken to a few people and found a guy thats done it with a M45 on the newer celica. http://www.celica-club.co.uk/wiki/index.php/Retrofit_M45_G7 What i really wanted to get out of this was just maybe an extra 10/20 hp without damaging the engine or the wallet but i dont think i could survive without the aircon ![]() I am a bit more concerned now having looked further into it and listened to u, it seems to get harder and harder to do. I still want to give it a go though, problem is im not sure if theres anywhere over here that can help with setting it up :S |
Yeh i do. Ive also posted something similar on my specialist celica forum to see what they say. I was sort of hoping there wouldnt be too much of a problem because my engine is almost the same as the turbo version. I think some guys have done it before leaving everything stock. Im not looking for massive power or boost. i think ive got a map sensor, but ill have to confirm this. I'm hoping if i dont run a large amount of boost then i can leave it stock, and the current fuel pump, injectors etc will be able to cope. I'm also stuck with a place to put it without having to have it come out the bonnet, engine bay is kind of cramped.
|
mate, had a look at some the audis you put up, very nice motors! ![]() i wanted to put one on my 6 gen celica. i thought since there were quite a few mercs around lagos it would be relitively easy and cheap to pick on up from a wrecked car or in the market somewhere, so was trying to avoid buying a whole kit. wanted to have a go at it this weekend as well ![]() |
Hi, im looking for the supercharger and piping from any mercedes c class engine, please get back to me if you have one or know where i could find one in decent condition. the picture is just an idea of one. cheers, Ben
|
looks a lot like lupe fiasco |
ill part excahnge it for a clean nissan s13 180sx/200sx/240sx (all the same) with the sr20det engine. so the car year would be between 1991 to 1993. im using it alot at the moment, so not looking to sell for another 2 months at least. |
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=45221&id=503216130 this is with the old "rubbish" sound install. it currently doesnt have one, just got the 2 amplifiers and crossovers. 1 is 1000watts and the other is 2000watts, i think. but ill have to check wen i get home. |
Hi, im looking for a 200sx s13 nissan. needs to be late 1991 to 1993. Must be the 2.0L turbo engine - which would be the SR20DET engine. ive seen a few around and they are all in terrible condition. please let me no if you have one for sale, or part exchange for a 1995 toyota celica. you can email me at benasayer@hotmail.com many thanks Ben Sayer ps. based in or around lagos. Edit: a 180sx or 240sx with the same engine will also do. |
Very good point actually. Soo a large amount of lightening and then a rollcage would make up for the structual integrity lost from removing the oem hinges. But ive yet to notice any problems yet, but perhaps a side impact could prove me very wrong. ![]() |
of course the hinges are heavier than the standard ones, but along with the gas struts ur probably adding no more than 10kgs, which honestly you wouldnt feel, as a full tank of petrol would add an extra 40kgs to the car compared to an almost empty one?, Trust petrol sloshing around from side to side in the tank has a greater effect on handling than one might expect, ![]() |
this is my car. theres another post i put up with more info about it. had to do all the work myself, or along side a mechanic for supervision, all the parts had to be imported as well.
|
are you sure its turbo charged? im not seeing any charge cooler and the piping doesnt seem right? sorry if this is a stupid question. |
I'm not sure if anyone realises this but publishing Vehicle numbers freely, so anyone can see could be giving car thieves and stolen car dealers a pot of gold. The number of a legally imported car, not stolen etc, can easily be cloned and used on an identical vehicle which doesnt have such an innocent past. So went a buyer comes along feeling all sharp and checks the vin number on the stolen vehicle it will check out. this can be used on older vehicles and accident damaged ones as well. so do be a little careful. |
Hi guys, moved over here from togo and bought my car with me. ive been around togo/nigeria for almost 18 years now. anyway here it is. its a 1995 pre facelift model with the 3gse engine - car was imported from germany. engines got - new 256 degree cams - cone short ram air filter - pipercross crankcase vent filter - upgraded radiator - upgraded waterpump - yellow koni springs - lambo stlye doors - electronic dump valve - electronic ignition control (which allows for flames from the exhaust) - custom straight through exhaust from header, no cat and twin tipped remus back box - alarm with emobiliser, remote engine start, auto door locking and unlocking - 2 tone metalic respray - sony head unit - use to have 2 15" 1500watt subs with a total of 16 speakers. sadly theses were stolen. ![]() - still have the 2 amplifiers they are both 4 channel and have clear cross over boxes. obviously the theif didnt realise the amps were probably 4 times the value of the speakers. the upside to this is he didnt damage the car when removing these componants because he USE to work for me and had a key. - has an undersized steering wheel - exhaust manifold is fully wrapped now which keeps engine temps down and allows for the gases to espace faster - therefore making the engine more resposive. -good times here are some photos, will put some more up wen i find them. im definately thinking of switching to a bike, so it will be on sale shortly,
