Policemen Attached To The NNPC
Kill Two NSCDC Officers In Lagos, Set
Pipeline Vandals Free

Slain officers and police id recovered from
crime scene
By SaharaReporters, New York
Two officers of Nigeria Security and Civil
Defence Corps, NSCDC, were ambushed and
killed by police officers attached to Nigerian
National Petroleum Corporation according to
information relived by eyewitnesses and
also confirmed with the spokesperson of
the NSCDC in Lagos, Okeh Emmanuel.
Two officers involved in anti-vandal activities
were fatally shot as they drove in the NSCDC
operational vehicle after arresting four
vandals of pipelines belonging to the NNPC
after they were caught siphoning fuel.
Some officers were also injured in the attack
which took place in the Ikorodu axis of
Lagos.
The vandals escaped after the fatal attack
leading NSDCDC officials to believe the
vandals were in cahoot with the police.
A wounded officer said the vandals made
several phone calls to the police officers
before they opened fire on the NSCDC patrol
van. A police ID card, a gun and Walkie-Talkie
belonging to one Inspector Sunday Gabriel
were retrieved from the scene of the attack.
The Nigerian police spokesperson in Lagos
did not respond to inquiries regarding the
attack.
Earlier this year, Ogun State Governor,
Senator Ibikunle Amosun publicly accused
officials of NNPC of conniving with pipeline
vandals to undermine the Nigerian
economy through theft of petroleum
product.
His outburst followed the murder of 3 NNPC
engineers last September near Arepo village
in Ogun state

Guys, just wondering, have you noticed that most of the finest music artists we have today in Nigeria are either been born and brougt up in Jos city or have at a point stayed in Jos. What do you think might possibly be the reason. Artists like, Psquare, MI, Ice prince, Jeremiah Gyang are few examples of such artists. Whats your take on this?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nairaland & Other Internet Sites Are Designed For Fraud - NSCDC by bencham(m): 10:28am On Mar 16, 2013
Peterwins: This is the fallout when employment is sold to those who can afford it even with fake credentials. The ogas at the top at NSCDC should better put their house in order. Websites of some reputable organizations are still being cloned not to talk of this ragtag civil defense. My advise for them:

1. Commission a reputable consulting firm such as Accenture to reorganise their entire operational and organisational structure.

2. All credentials of their entire workforce starting from their "oga at the top" to their "omose at the bottom" should be verified by an independent firm.

3. Send another staff to Channels TV and other TV stations to redeem their tattered image.

4. Further recruitment should be handled by a professional recruitment organisation until they establish a competent human resource department.

5. The federal government should withdraw the permission granted to some of their staff to bear arms. The Nigeria Police Force kicked against arming some of the NSCDC officials but to no avail.
because the bribe comin to your oga at the top in the police has started reducing since the arming of NSCDC why wont you clamour for the withdrawal of the permission granted them to bear arms. Sentiment apart, NSCDC are performing creditably well, better than their brothers in black.

kaykraka4u: Customs pays btw 115-130k for fresh intakes.
Also,U have to be at any of its ports/borders to earn more, u know what I mean?
AS in working at the terminal/border
naah, customer officers, fresh intake ASCII take in N85K as their monthly net pay, i hav a close friend that just pass out from the just concluded trainin in Ikeja, Lagos. But like you said, posting matters. Those in Port borders earn more from their daily roger.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Military Vs Paramilitary? Which way? by bencham(m): 9:11am On Feb 25, 2013
Yea, customs are the least paid in paramilitary services in Nigeria where a gradute collect about -N- 85K fresh entry, while their counter part in the other services like Immigration, SSS, Civil Defence, Police, prisons collect over -N-120K as net pay monthly. Not sure of the Military, but i heard not much different with d other paramilitary. So left for you to choose.
