Ancient or not, nuthing depletes the quality of the great songs on this album |

Ummm, have u listened to him talk, well ori bobo yen pe joo(the guy head correct),if you listen well to his lyrics, the delivery, you know the way he spits his shit in very deep yoruba with smatterings of oyinbo,he has graduated it toa an art,, at times i want to biliv that pple who dont understand yoruba may not really appreciate him but the response to Gongo Aso seems to have debunked this claim, and of course Please can you tell me whts wrong with being a hustler, for u to survive in the music industry in naija 2day u must have to be a hustler at some point, dont you think. |

Music/Radio / Re: Any Smooth Jazz Lovers In The House? by benedo(m): 7:41am On Mar 25, 2008 |
umm, apparently there seems to be some mix up here satchmo in particular and all the others may not really be conviniently boxed into the smooth jazz genre, all the pplle here i will classify as traditional (american) jazzists then the old croners like sinatra and cole et all, when you talk of smooth jazz! the we should be talking about kenny g, najee, earl klugh, peter white, david sandborn, etc maybe somebody out there with different or better perspective can shed more light on this |
Music/Radio / Re: Soul E Now A Pastor! by benedo(m): 10:14am On Mar 20, 2008 |
Ummnn, Now! i saw soul e and his wife on TV, both of them especially the wife( in this very eye popping very sexy and revealing spagethi strap) answering questions and preaching and all that stuff abt opening a church, man! something just smelled very fishy to me, to me its like this babe is leading this guy by the nose, she is always around this guy--- as her manage she says, and i see her too in the videos jumping up and down boobs all shaking and i'm like wow wow wow .---who are this guys kidding, apparently madam just cant resist a slice of the spotlight that comes from the superstar thang, (quite unbecoming of a so called pastor). These guys should please stop calling us fools, let soul e concentrate on his music and let madam concentrate on her banking profession or whatever she was doing before Soul E---they howver appear to lov each other enuff but time will eventually tell abt this duo. |

Na wah ooo, we are takling of one hit wonders and i see pple like tuface, face, blacky et all on this list. One hit wonders to the best of my knowledge means artiste who relased only one hit which was a SMASH! but subsequently faded into oblivion while not being able to maintain the tempo of their music career or match the succes of their first hit or album. Maybe someone out there can educate me wether the meaning of one hit wonder has changed. |

Sports / Re: Arsenal Face Liverpool In Europe by benedo(m): 3:10pm On Mar 14, 2008 |
ummmm, Bops, i'm a gunner oo,but, but gunners have to be at their best against the reds, biliv me it wont be like the standard premiership cracker btw these two where arsenal normally have the upper hand, when it comes to the the champions league,Liverpool plays like demons possed with the spirit of winning,(i noticed these since the past 3re editions) meeeen arsenal have to beon their toes, certainly wont be a tea party and i know liverpool fans no too dey make noise baout their team unlike aresenal and chelsea fans, rhetorics no go win this one oo, and of course liverpool have the experience going foir them in this competition ummm, GONNA BE SUPER EXPLOSIVE, showcase of exciting football |

Bobs, Dat song is baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad,Rap meets Rock under the umbrella of the Gospel, check out the those guitar licks and the cool flow, when u hear the chorus E LAGI MO, u may want to think its just one of those half baked naija songs, but just listen well to the lyrics and i may also say if u are not a rock music lover, this jam amy not really hit u in the right places, still searching for the album though, then i can really do a proper critique of these guys. |

Sports / Re: Pick Eagles' New Coach by benedo(m): 4:31pm On Feb 27, 2008 |
spora why u put oliseh and amokachie for this list? abeeegi,NFA and Nigerians have to be very careful about the issue of the national team coach. The Nigerian Super Eagles is too big for these two guys to handle,so they want to use this team for industrial attachment under the guise of an indigenous national team coach,(no disrespect to both of them)but let them all go and do the right things first, go to a reputable/international coaching academy, get the required certificate, get attached to a good team/good coach make some name,(achieve something with a clubside if possible) theeeen! they can talk of coaching the Nigerian Super Eagles. Rather you should have included Eguavoen in this list, as far as i am concerned the Guy was doing well untill our irresponsibly corrupt FA decided to waste Chief Adenuga's money and employ the German |
Career / Casual Leave:annual Leave What Is The Difference Please by benedo(m): 2:27pm On Feb 27, 2008 |
Dear all, One funny law has just recently been made in my office to the effect that, all your casual leave will be deducted from your annual leave, now the impression i have gathered about the casual leave issue is that the Nigerian Labour Law states that you are entitled to five days of casual leave exclusive of your leave in a year. Does anyone out there have an idea of what the law states on what the general standard should be about issues like this, as i would really like to take this up with the overzealous hr in my office always trying to impresss the whiteys with so called "innovation" 5 Likes 2 Shares |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Dragnet Registration by benedo(m): 3:24pm On Feb 26, 2008 |
Uummm, apparently masmalawi here is feeling very aggrieved and bitter, but my own experience with DRAGNET has been positively suprising so far, i did the dragnet test last week tuesday 19th feb. I checked the account created for me the following day to check my scores which was posted. Inspite of the fact that i bilived i didnt do well enuff in the test, some job postings were sent to me on Monday 25th Feb to check wether i liked or not. Conclusion---Dragnet is for real. masmalawi, i biliv baba's explanation of what might have happened in your case seems logical enuff, I know they have a lot of peopple waiting to get on their register and about the bank phb issue, i think we have to be a bit careful when we make some accusations, there a lot of decisions taken sometimes in a company/bank that not everybody will be privy to. |
Career / Re: Logistics Or Supply Chain Management by benedo(m): 1:41pm On Feb 26, 2008 |
Oga wills, Thank God for such excellent work u are doing here, i aam sociology graduate but found ,myself in the logistics/supply(documentation) chain territory a few years back. My experience over the past few years have included opening form, m. letters of credit, marine insurance, and key accounts logistics mgt of a few companies in nigeria on behalf of my company. Lately i have been involved in supplier relationship management especially with regards to our courier shipments cordinating between suppliers and our freightforwarders to ensure goods are shipped and deliverd to Nigeria. Along the line i have bben involved in the hs code classification dept, dealing with shipping lines on demuragges and container refunds and of course final exchange documents. Now! U will see that my experience so far has not really been in core logistics which my own opinion in Nigeria is alot about Port operations, and transportation(delivery of goods to the customer)Can you offer any adivise about how to move forward and acquire a more wholesome knowlegde about logsitics an supply chain. And please note that i am INTRESTED in the formal networking structure you are trying to put up |
