@ Boss

Benodic good to see you back.
surprised. i have always been around. just been in the background.

What is the Eckist position on tithe?
In ECKANKAR, tithing is not done. when any project is to be done, voluntary donations are made by members and there is no compulsion to it and individuals are free to donate or not to donate and to donate any amount they can. donations are not fixed or determined by income as is done in Churches that require members to pay 10% of their income as tithe.

one of the reasons why we are on earth is to learn how to give without expectation of reward. so ECKists do not need to be reminded about the importance of giving, for them to give from their heart. any art of giving that is done by coercion or compulsion and not from the heart has already defeated its purpose. the purpose of course is to bring us closer to the nature of God which is eternal giving of its love to all its creation.

The Word, the Voice of the Sugmad , goes forth like a wave from the center of a pond and sings its way through all the planes in many different songs and melodies. Each is the living Word , creating and giving life to everything in each world. By its very life - this ECK , the essence of the Sugmad , the Spirit of all things - life exists.

the way you christians respond to things you do not understand always make laugh. like a child who is warned by the parents to beware of the bogeyman who might just capture him .

in ECKANKAR, we are not interested in convincing anyone or begging anyone to believe in its teachings. we simply put out the truth as we know it for those who wants to know more about life . nobody forces you and nobody entraps you into becoming a member such an action in itself is a violation of spiritual law.

the teachings are simply for souls who are ready for it.
so relax , the bogeyman is not out to get you.
Christianity Etc › Re: Which One Is The Word Of God, Bible or Quran? by benodic: 9:24pm On Oct 04, 2014
the true word of GOD is written in your heart by GOD itself and not in any book written by man. all souls have access to this word. in silent contemplation, listen within and you will hear , the still small voice of GOD.

my dear olaadegbu,

you really made me laugh this night. i didn't know you were such a funny guy. i saw your post and i said what in heaven's name is olaadegbu doing disseminating info about ECKANKAR and how does he even know anything about ECKANKAR. so i went straight to your link and had another laugh.

you see there is one thing you have to understand. we in ECKANKAR simply do not care about any negative info or any name calling levelled at us by anybody or any group. the energy you spend castigating another religion is best spent contemplating on GOD. the mystery surrounding God is so enourmous and mankind over the ages has grappled with it, which resulted in many religions being practiced on earth today.

nobody has monopoly over truth. the test of any religion at the end of the day is in how has it made your life better. how has it brought love for God and your fellow man into your heart. love at the end of the day is the key to heaven and by their fruits you will know them.
it is mentality like yours that is causing the chaos on earth today, people leave the truth and pursue shadows and spend more time inflating their egos by proclaiming that their God is bigger than yours. really?

so my dear if you like continue your bashing, it doesn't take anything away from what ECKANKAR is. The Religion of the Light and Sound Of God. the light and sound being the manifestation of the Holy Spirit which when it comes into your life makes you a new being filled with love and bent on only carrying out the will of God. it is a life to live and not an argument to be argued about.

those who are interested in getting the correct information about ECKANKAR can go to the website: www.eckankar.org. ECKANKAR is also on facebook. if you have questions you want to ask an Eckist, you can go to the thread-https://www.nairaland.com/533844/contemplation-seeds-eckankar and drop your question there.

thanks

Christianity Etc › Re: When We Die! by benodic: 2:55pm On Sep 06, 2014
everything is alive. nothing dies. they simply change form or vibration.
the fact that we can no longer perceive the new form with our physical senses does not mean they have stopped existing.

for example souls living in the astral plane or first heaven which is closest to earth in terms of vibration can not be seen with our physical eyes. but those whose spiritual eyes are open can perceive them.
Christianity Etc › Re: When We Die! by benodic: 8:29am On Sep 04, 2014
the mystery of death lies in proper understanding of what happens when the physical body is asleep and the person is dreaming.
in dreams you still retain your consciousness. sleep is afterall a temporal death and death is a permanent sleep.
Christianity Etc › Re: How A Christian's Faith Shook An Atheist by benodic: 2:42pm On Aug 30, 2014
I tried my best to live a life of pure love as a Christian but I didn't succeed until I found ECKANKAR, The Religion of the Light and Sound of God. now giving love to all souls without discrimination is a second nature to me. and moreover I have come to understand the spiritual laws of life.

the funny aspect of it all is that even Christians that I have freely given love to will attack me and tell me that giving love to life will not guarantee my entry to heaven unless I accept Jesus as my saviour.

It makes me wonder whether Christians really study the bible. the story of who will make heaven is beautifully captured in the story of the Good samaritan
where a samaritan was able to tender to an injured man while a levi left him to die because the man is not a Jew.
the samaritan does not have to accept Jesus as his saviour to make heaven as his act of love alone is all the guarantee needed. love and love alone is the key to heaven and not your religion.
Christianity Etc › Re: Sexxual Yoga by benodic: 9:33pm On Aug 26, 2014
those psychic practices mentioned in the write up are actually very dangerous. raising the kundalini can seriously unbalance an individual and some will even run mad.

it is always better to develop divine love first. once divine love is in place, whatever psychic powers that comes to that person will never be abused
.
will you rather be like elisha who when he was mocked by children commanded wild animals to devour them or be like Jesus Christ who with all the powers at his disposal even though he was taunted to save himself and destroy his enemies if he was truly the son of God decided to forgive and give love.
Christianity Etc › Re: Sexxual Yoga by benodic: 9:07pm On Aug 26, 2014
beautiful write up on love.

I can appreciate because I have experienced it.
love is not what you talk about, it is a life you live when your heart centre has been opened by the living, loving currents of the Holy Spirit .

this is the gift that ECKANKAR gave to me through the singing of the love song to God, HU.

at a point there was a girl I was in love with and it was not your usual run of the mill love . it was an all encompassing love and all I wanted was her happiness. I was ready to make any sacrifice.

she was unfaithful to me on many occasions but forgiving her was never a problem. that love knew no jealousy or envy. she thought I will not be able to let her go but when the time came I willingly stepped aside for her to marry the man she wanted without any rancour or disappointment or anger . all I wanted was for her to be happy.
up till now she still wonders the kind of person I am. but I knew she will never understand.

once you have taken a drink from the living waters of God's love. you will never be the same. people who know you will even call you a fool. yes, you are a fool for God's love.

this love has nothing to do with those psychic yoga practices described in the write up. it is pure beyond imagination .

thanks

for me I do not see much difference between Arabs and Jews. they share the same ancestry and same mentality of religious intolerance and unforgiveness.

that is why they will keep on killing each other.
and these same Jews are the same people that Christians call the chosen people of God.
chosen people indeed.

Christianity Etc › Re: The Spirit World. What's Your Take? by benodic:
@ cococandy

I've been exposed to the ECK.

You don't know how many eckankar teachings I've sat through.
Even chants of HU HU HU did nothing for me.

Maybe I'm faithless
I've always been on the quest for truth anyway.
you actually had the key right in your hands that would have open the door to those inner worlds for you but unfortunately you were not patient enough. exploring the inner worlds has nothing to do with faith. faith comes after experience which becomes your authority.
i had my doubts when i first came in touch with the teachings of ECK but i was determined to experience things for myself.
i sang the HU diligently for up to 6 months before i started having soul travel experiences.

i later came to realize the way HU works and why it may take some time for someone to have experiences faster than others. when someone starts singing the HU, it starts the process of spiritual purification because nothing that is impure can see God. it starts clearing the layers of dirt that covers the spiritual eyes. the time for this clearing process depends on the amount of dirt and how diligently the person is doing the spiritual exercise. so really the ball is your court.

the kingdom of God is for the bold and courageous and requires discipline, determination and unshakable trust in Divine Spirit.
Christianity Etc › Re: The Spirit World. What's Your Take? by benodic: 11:26pm On Aug 05, 2014
@ cococandy

That is so interesting.
Ok pardon my curiosity. Is soul traveling a gift?
Or were you born that way?

As for dreams,I just dream of regular places
I've been to before like my house or my alma
mater or friend's house. Nothing other worldly.
Unless you mean I'll still be lurking around here
when I'm gone.

Tell me more about this soul travel thing. When
did you first experience it? Can you interact
with the dead as in speech and sight?
.
soul travel is simply expansion of consciousness into
other areas of awareness that can not be experienced with physical senses.

it is a natural part of all souls. every one soul travels. the only difference is that some do it consciously and others do it unconsciously .
to soul travel consciously will require developing your inner senses through spiritual exercises.

concerning your dreams , as above so below. the places you were visiting are the inner plane aspects of the ones on earth. nothing can manifest on earth without first being established in the inner planes.
so when people translate they find themselves in settings similar to what they are used to on earth and that confuses them making think they are still on earth and not dead.

I was lucky to come in contact with the teachings of ECKANKAR , RELIGION OF THE LIGHT AND SOUND OF GOD. dream travel and soul travel is one of the basic teachings. and with practice of the spiritual exercise, I was able to consciously soul travel into the inner planes several times to see things for myself.

I even had the privilege of escorting my mother who translated to the place where she is residing now in the inner planes.
these experience are my authority and not what is written in any book .

you have the right as soul to assess all truth all you need to do is just to ask.
Christianity Etc › Re: The Spirit World. What's Your Take? by benodic: 10:24am On Aug 05, 2014
@ cococandy

You mean the dreams and the existence of the
dead happen in the same realm?
How do you KNOW this?
Anyway I've heard about planes of higher
vibrations before. Reading books from the
monks of tibet opened my eyes to that school
of thought.
An interesting one it is.
dream experiences take place in the inner planes , the same place where translated souls inhabit. those who come there during dreaming are seen as visitors.
take very good note of the place you visit when you are dreaming that is where you most likely will end up when you die.
this is the reason why many people who die do not even realize that they have died because where they find themselves is so familiar to them and the transition process is so natural with no strangeness to it at all.
I know this because I am a soul traveler. I have crossed the boundaries of life and death and have seen things for myself.
Christianity Etc › Re: The Spirit World. What's Your Take? by benodic: 10:57pm On Aug 04, 2014
There are other planes of existence apart from the physical plane which are on a higher vibration than the physical plane so our physical senses can not observe them. the plane closest to the physical plane in vibration is the astral plane and that is where many souls go to when they drop the physical body in death. souls also go there for brief visits during sleep, that is where most dream experiences take place. that is why you can see dead loved ones in your dreams.
so the spirit world as you may call it , is real. not a fairy tale.

whatever exists is a manifestation of the consciousness of the people who created it in their hearts.
boko haram has always existed in the hearts of the northern Nigeria Moslem. what we are seeing now is just another manifestation of it. northern moslems have been slaughtering southerners in the name of religion over the years and none of them saw anything wrong with that.
the current boko haram simply replaced the matchets, fuel and matches, stones and sticks formally used by northern moslems with bombs and guns.
