the pastor broke a spiritual law; "The law of non-interference". spiritual laws are no respecter of persons. you break them you pay for it, as simple as that.

there is a reason that God has allowed all the different religions to exist. if God did not want it so then there is no way it would be so because God is all knowing and all powerful and has given Its children opportunity to grow according to their level of consciousness.
no one has any right to take that away.

there is no death. just translation. a change in state of consciousness
you are already undergoing minor translations every time you sleep, every time you day dream, every time you are in very deep thought, your consciousness shifts from the physical into the other realms which you may not be fully aware now.

what you call death, is just a permanent translation of your consciousness into the another realm that is no longer physical. you will simply find that life continues naturally without any break or interruptions. oh how sweet life really is and will become when you realize that you are simply soul, immortal and deathless.

i can assure you that nemesis does exist. and it takes care of all atrocities committed by men. the limitation in the christian doctrine is that it only looks at one lifetime saying that man lives only once and then judgement follows then either hell or heaven.

nemesis goes beyond one life time. so those people who you feel are enjoying the proceeds of their evil without paying for it before dying, are going to face judgement and the result of that judgement is that they will have to reincarnate under terrible conditions to reap what they had sown while on earth. that is why you see some people are born blind, some deaf, some crippled from birth and some even born by a mad mother and their suffering starts from the cradle.

the fact that a soul forgets what it has done in a previous lifetime when it reincarnates does not mitigate the suffering it will have to pass through when it reincarnates. so please never you envy evil people for God is not mocked at all and whatever a man soweth he shall surely reap.

those whom nemesis meet before they die are even more lucky than those who escape it in a lifetime because they are given an opportunity to pay their debt before they die. The Law of Karma, cause and effect, is a basic law of the universes of God and it metes out divine justice to all. there is no injustice whatsoever. the saying that the sins of the fathers will be visited upon the children and the children's children actually means that it is the same soul that is reincarnating in that family to reap what he has sown. there is no escaping it.

there is both individual consciousness and a collective consciousness. a collective consciousness of for example a particular tribe or country is comprised of aggregations of the individual consciousness within that tribe or country.

like i always say there is nothing wrong from having different opinions and views but there is everything wrong in abusing others or maltreating them because of differences in opinions and views, but if you are humble and have a loving heart you find that you can learn from even the person you call a fool and you can learn from a child too.

always remember nobody knows it all but we can tap from each others knowledge to make ourselves better spiritual beings.

God only cares for one thing and that is that Soul, the real you, which It sent down to the lower worlds to acquire experience and mature should complete Its lessons and come back home to It.

all the religions have their mystical side. those who have journeyed into the mystical side of their religion discover for themselves that there are no divisions at all.
all the past spiritual masters still exist in the inner planes teaching those who are open and ready for truth.

they also realize that Love is all there is and all else pales in comparison with the law of love. The Law of Love supersedes every other law and that was one of the main laws Jesus tried to introduce to the world when he said that you should love your neighbor as yourself and went on to buttress it with stories of the Good Samaritan and the action he took when the Jews tried to stone an Adultress.

any body who claims to believe in God and is a member of any religion whatsoever and does not follow the Law of Love is living a life of fallacy and creating more future problems. embedded in the scriptures are guidelines on how one get in touch with the mystical/spiritual side of their religion. once that step is taken, all the arguments, killings in the name of God, hatred, prejudices, religious bias will fade away like a bad dream. so i repeat once again, that atheists are not the problem and they should be left alone.

sceptics and atheists are the products of misguided religious followers who do not even make effort to know their scriptures talk less of practicing it. if the religious people had focused on the main tenets of their religion which is mostly love i.e loving their neighbours as themselves most of the problems we have now will not arise. but what we have now is bombing of places of worship and reprisal attacks all in the name of God while the sceptics and atheists stand aside and watch in disdain. then after the killings you will come out the next day and tell them to believe in the existence of God.
i would kindly suggest that you guys should leave the sceptics and atheists alone. they are not the problem. misguided religious followers are the problem and they are the one you should focus your energy on. clean out your houses first ,then and only then can you expect a visitor to come in and be comfortable.

You can not see the spirit realm with your physical eyes. But already you are going there every day when your physical body sleeps, your real self soul, goes to the spiritual realm, and have experiences there. Those experiences are what you call dreams.

My dear, you have to understand that most times dreams come in symbols. Each symbol is unique to each individual and there is no general meaning.
When you are having a reoccuring dreams it is mostly the Holy Spirit trying to convey a message to you. In order to decipher the meaning when you wake up, write down the dream, then quietly contemplate on the dream. Then ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you what that drream is trying to tell you. Stay silent and listen for up to 10 to 20 minutes. Continue with this exercise daily until you get an answer.

Eckankar is the Religion of the Light and Sound of God. ECKANKAR comprises of 2 words joined together. ECK which means Holy Spirit and ANKAR which means The way. so put together it means The way of the Holy Spirit. the Emphasis in Eckankar is knowingness and beingness. we do not work with beliefs.

for you to really appreciate truth you have to experience it. once you experience it you do not need anyone to convince you to believe or not to believe. you become a knower and you become truth itself.
i can tell you what i know about satan and demons, what i know about the truth contained in the bible, what i know about the teachings and personality of Jesus Christ but it may never make sense to you because you may still be functioning at the level of believe.

in Eckankar we are spiritual scientists. using the spiritual exercises we are able to move into the spiritual realms and see things clearly for ourselves not just what someone told you or what was interpreted for you or what you understood from a book.in the spiritual realms you can also meet your spiritual master there and ask him directly any questions that is troubling you concerning the doctrine of your religion.

so in ECK we do not accept any truth we have not experienced and proven to ourselves. we become a law unto ourselves. that is why we simply tell people to do the spiritual exercise especially the singing of the HU, a love song to God. sing it and then ask God to reveal the truth about life to you. then watch your experience. maybe then we can discuss more coherently when your spiritual eyes has been opened by the Holy spirit.

the above quote is talking about The Law of Reversed Effort.
If you try too hard to achieve a goal, the excessive striving creates an inner tension thats shuts off the inner channels of communicaton between you and God and failure usually results.
In the seeking of God there should be no hurry or tension about it. You strike a subtle balance between activity and rest. In the activity period you put in your best and in the rest period you relax and surrender the outcome to God. This is the key to success

you have only looked at the creation versions of Christianity, Judaism and Islam. So let me fill you up on the ECKANKAR version.

From our point of view evolution is a fact and actually took place over millions of years starting from unicellular organisms and culminating in man. What christians do not know is that the bible story of creation is actually a depicting of evolution.

their confusion arises from the fact that they are looking at the 6 days of creation as if it is equivalent to 6 days of earth time while in reality a cosmic day is more than 5 million years of earth time. So going through the story in genesis with cosmic time in mind you will actually see how evolution weaves through it from plants to animals to man over millions of years of earth time.

and the story of adam and eve of course is an allegory the meaning of which i will not go into here. So evolution is a fact. It is just unfortunate that christians interpreted what was written in genesis literally.

human suffering is a product of man's inability to learn love. It has nothing to do with God. God has only one will and that is that Soul will grow to maturity and learn how to love and then come back home to It.

Every action you see on earth today has causes set in past lives that put it in motion. So there is no injustice in the system. Every soul gets its just rewards. What you sow is what you reap. If you do not reap it in a particular life time then you will reincarnate and face the consequences in a later lifetime.
By that time the soul would have forgotten what transpired in a previous lifetime

3) Why is your own God real? People
believed that Zeus is God. People believe

the story of the elephant and the 6 blind men best depicts the reality of God and what It is like. Someone who does not even know the make up of his own nature can never have an inkling of what God is like.
Problems usually arise when the person who felt the tail of the elephant and claimed that the elephant is like a snake starts fighting the others who have different claims according to the part of the elephant they touched.

What makes my God real? Is because i have actually had experiences that showed me Its reality. Most people that fight over the issue of God actually have not had this experience. Why do i say so. Cant still get over the Dana crash. I regret looking at pictures of some of the victims because as much as I tried I just cant get the faces off my head. Well, it has happened too bad we could not help it! May such never happen again.


I was just thinking of the victims’ last moment and I can imagine all sorts of lamentation, fear, prayers etc

I am sure there would be spirit filled born again Christians (apology to other religions just talking about mine). These xtians who when faced with calamity lower than such that happened would calmly have preached that we thank God in all situations and accept His wish would probably have at that very minute of staring death in the eyes said things like ‘God where are you’ ‘Ori mi o, eleda mi o’ ‘Mogbe o egbami o, ‘God if you truly exist please take control of this plane and land us safely’ etc some probably would have said worst like ‘are you sure you are up there looking at this?’ ‘if you are true to your word….please arise now’ etc….

Will some foolish words some of them would have said lead them to hell even though they were born again and faithful to God prior to this?

Some would probably have heard at one time or the other that all that is needed to be saved is to confess Christ as lord and accept Him, now will some people who were at that point unbelievers but quickly accept Him at that last minute make it to heaven for saying those words?

I am a Christian myself I probably should know answers to these but just wishing to learn more from other Christians because anyone could find him/herself face to face with death sometime.

since wakagirl asked those of us in other religions to discuss the above topic in similar threads and stay off her thread i decided to oblige and make my own comments here. others should feel free to make their own comments here as well. so that we can learn from one another.

as a former christian the above question whether a last minute sin can take one to hell was a point of serious contemplation as i thrived to fully understand it vis-a-viz the christian doctrines. what makes it look like an injustice is that someone can be a very good christian all his or her and just because of one slip up (afterall we are all humans) all the good things the person did will be dumped into the dustbin and off to hell the person goes.

on the other hand you have a situation where someone has been committing atrocities all his or her life, killing people, robbing others etc and at the last minute the person accepts Jesus as his or her Lord and then off to heaven the person goes.
if you look critically at the above 2 scenarios you would not be surprised at what you see in Christendom today. the second option seems a very juicy option and that is what you see people doing. testimony nights are filled with confessions of people who have committed heinous crimes against humanity and then after accepting Christ, the sins are wiped off and the person becomes renewed automatically meanwhile the people killed by that person who were not born agains are of course sent to hell.

after becoming a member of ECKANKAR, Religion of The Light and Sound Of God, i was able to see clearly the workings of the Laws of Life. the paramount one being The law of Cause and Effect also known as The Law of Karma. which Jesus aptly talked about in the christian Bible as whatever you sow you will reap. this law operates above the laws of man and is infallible. all actions, words or thoughts sent out by a soul will definitely come back to the sender whether the person repents or not.

he or she will pay for whatever debt he or she incurs in life. if at the end of a lifetime the debt is not paid such a soul will be made to come back in another physical body to pay the debt and learn the lessons attached to that experience. this brings in the concept of reincarnation. that is why in life you will see someone born blind from birth, another will not have limbs, another will have seemingly good luck from birth. these happenings are a result of past deeds that the souls wearing that body had done in a past life and coming in that particular form becomes a way to pay for that debt. so God is not unjust and does not favour any soul or any race above another. we as souls make our lives the way it is. we have no one to blame for it.
all these things i am talking about are knowledge embedded in the core of every soul. it is not subject to arguments or counter-arguments. if you really want to know if Karma is real and if Reincarnation is real, all you need to do is to ask with a sincere heart. the Holy Spirit, which is the repository of all truth is within every soul. pray in any way that is comfortable to you and in a moment of silence just ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth about these matters to you. then watch what happens.

The reality and Existence of God is a subjective experience and not an objective one. That is why you can never provide any proof on the existence of God to any atheist.

I am not even bothered about proving God's existence to anyone. What matters is how your knowledge of God is making you a better person that is of service to all life. If your knowledge of God does not make you a better person then it is an exercise in futility

I wonder why the complaint. What would the world be without diversity in opinion and views. Very boring indeed. If you feel that someone's view is irritating you can always show maturity by ignoring it.

When you read ECK books and attend Sunday service,do you still need to be a registered member.Is there a difference.

the difference is like being a spectator in a football game and being a player yourself in the game.
Eckankar is a spiritual training program, not just a church ,that takes you gradually step by step according to your own pace through different levels of expanding consciousness and at the end leaves you a God-realized soul, a verified pure channel for the love of God to flow to the worlds. this training starts when you make a commitment to partake in the spiritual training by registering.
another thing is that there is no compulsion at all and no hurry in becoming a registered member. it is okay to take your time, read the Eck Books, attend Eck programs including the sunday Eck Worship. the choice to register or not is entirely up to you and depends on what your spiritual goals are.

The thing is; I travelled out when my

there is no hurry on the path of Eckankar. The discourses are not to be rushed at all.
You are to read one lesson a month. It does not matter if you did not start at the time your discourse arrived. Just read one lesson per month and do the spiritual exercises given in each lesson

Secondly I got

to understand the discourses are to be
read bit by bit; as to how I just gulp
down a months disourse, and be
imaging the mahanta doing the rest of
the work-- much like taking a pill and
falling in bed to sleep. Please I need to
know what's up on using the
discourses;I want to get the most from
it so that whever my conciousess is, I'll
be on the peak of it. Most importanly,
anything got that will help me grow

After reading the lesson , take it bit by bit and contemplate on it after your spiritual exercise. During the day put your attention lightly on a chosen passage and ask the Mahanta to throw more light on it .
As you do the spiritual exercises and read the discourses gradually you gain more spiritual stamina and spiritual foresight that will enable you live your life more fully. It is a gradual process so be patient and take your time.

the above quote is simply trying to explain the law of Cause and Effect which is the law of this world which must not be broken. You can not expect to get something for nothing. You can not expect to get yam when you planted coconut. If you expect something from life you have to be ready to give something back to life which can be in the form of service to life.

that is from one of the basic teachings of ECKANKAR, RELIGION OF THE LIGHT AND SOUND OF GOD

The best way to win over your enemy is by giving him love and not by attacking him.

When a man dies, the real self, soul, simply drops the physical body and moves to the court of the judge of the dead.
In this court a record of the man's life is reviewed and if the man has not learnt the lessons of love needed to move to the next level then he or she has to reincarnate into another physical body to start the lessons all over again.

Within the causal body of man which is one of the inner bodies that man wears, is a record of all the incarnations that Soul has experienced in the lower worlds. Children when they are still very young have flashes of past life recall but as they grow older the window shuts down so that they can concentrate on this particular lifetime.

Soul is an individualized unit of Spirit with its own distinct and unique vibration and character. Soul can be likened to a fish and Spirit is the water in which the fish lives and have its being and is sustained by it.

Soul in its latent state has all the qualities of God which is embedded in spirit but due to its immaturity is not able to fully realize and express these qualities. That was why Soul was sent down to the school of the lower worlds to germinate and grow and fully expand its consciousness and to one day become one with the Eck, the Holy Spirit of God. Which means that there is now no difference between the qualities expressed by Soul and that expressed by the Holy Spirit.
That is the destiny of man. And all souls will go the same road. It is up to each Soul when or how long it will take to fulfil this destiny.

Sri Harold was a christian in training to become a reverend minister when he got the call and was then trained by Sri Paul who was a christian too. Sri Sudar singh who trained Sri Paul Twitchell was a Buddhist. Sri Rumi was a Moslem before he was trained by Sri shamus and the list goes on. The only common denominator is that when that Soul is pin- pointed the current Master at that time has to train him to develop his full potential to be able to become a clear channel for God.

whenever a Master finishes his mission as dictated by God, He steps aside and hands over to the next qualified person.
A master is not supposed to be attached to the position as he should have attained full vairag i.e detachment. But in Darwin's case after handing over he was still attached to the position and wanted to still be calling the shots which is not possible because, the Living Eck Master takes orders only from the Sugmad. So this lead to his removal from Eckankar.

As of now the person that will take over from Sri Harold is already in training and standing by. When Sri Harold finishes his mission the person takes over. It is as simple as that.
