, thanks alot, now am good!, but when you said "sri harold is a channel" for mahanta, l expected you to say 'is the channel', do you imply their are other 'sri harolds' out there- or rather 'channels'? thanks.

The Mahanta Consciousness can be likened to the Presidential seat of a country. It is a position. At any point in time somebody occupies it and stays there for a period and when that person's tenure expires he leaves and another person then steps into that position.

so currently Sri Harold is the one occupying that position and is being used by God in that level of consciousness to pour out its immense love to all creation. So you can rightly say that Sri Harold is the Current channel for the Mahanta consciousness. that is why He is referred to as the Living Eck Master.

working with the Living Eck Master are hundreds of other past Eck Masters who are still very active in the inner planes. there is a hierarchy and at the top of that hierarchy is the Mahanta, The Living Eck Master.

Does this direct communication btw God n man still happen? I've pondered on this question and also discussed it in group but I haven't gotten a good answer.

of course God is always talking to us but the problem is that we are so immersed in materiality and problems of daily living that we do not stop to listen.

the first step in hearing God speak is to start listening within. remember Jesus said "be still and know that i am God". you have to start by stilling your senses and go into a quiet contemplation on God and then just listen for a while.

singing a holy name of God like HU or any spiritual word like Jesus, Christ or even God can help in attuning your inner self to the Holy Spirit. After singing it for a while then remain still and listen. just listen.

i am very happy that you have started experiencing the bliss of God and that is just the beginning.
That is what i have been trying to explain. you can not give what you do not have. telling someone to give love when he or she can not feel that love is simply not possible. singing the HU opens your heart to the love of God and giving that love to others comes naturally to you.

now about Eckist-contemplation, is it fantasizing over something or what?

Eckankar teaches you that Imagination is real. anything you can imagine can manifest in your life if you focus on it. Imagination is the eye of soul. so it is not just fantasizing. imagination is not something to toy with.

also l tend to get a lot of deja-vu-ln my dreams l get to see future events but only realize them when they happen, even some
of your responses are among them!, what do l need to be more vigilant when am dreaming the future so that l won't forget?, l know you'll say

your inner faculties are being gradually awakened. this is also what happens when you sing the HU. what can help you in being more vigilant is to start keeping a dream book. once you wake up in the morning record your dreams in a dream book. no matter how the dream appear, record it. this will help. you can also ask within to get more insight.

secondly; l have no problem with The Eck master personally or what ever someone at one time did with Eckankar; am concerned about genuineness and the truth!

That exactly is my stand. Truth is truth and all that a master can do for you is to show you how to go within to realize that truth for yourself. that is what matters.

but the mahanta: can you please define the mahanta?

The Mahanta is the Holy Spirit taking a form that you can easily relate to. it is the highest state of consciousness in form and also the purest form of God's love for soul.

The mahanta is purely spirit. it is not a human being. the person that qualifies to wear this mantle of pure love is the person who has been able to develop pure non discriminatory love for all life. this person then becomes the Living Eck Master.

In the inner worlds within you the Holy spirit manifests as the light and sound. you see various lights and hear various sounds depending on the plane you find yourself. When the Holy spirit wants to give you a specific information that is for the betterment of your spiritual growth, the light and sound then comes together in a form which you can easily relate to. so you can see your father or your mother coming in a dream to give you a message. you can even see Jesus or Buddha. for us Eckists we can see Sri Harold. that form is the mahanta.

is it Harold Klemp's soul? does he(Harold klemp) control the Mahanta while he is busy on earth?

The Mahanta is not Sri Harold's soul. but rather Sri Harold is a channel for the Mahanta consciousness through which God's love flow to the worlds. Sri Harold does not control the Mahanta but rather He is strictly under the will of God and carries out whatever is the will God for souls.

how powerful is the mahanta?

what is the limit of what he can do to someone irregardless of their religious affiliation, or what did God didn't give him permission to do to someone on earth?,

The mahanta has one purpose. and that is to take all ready souls back to their home where they came from. that is back to God. The mahanta is available to all souls despite their religious affiliation whenever any soul is tired of the play of maya(illusion) and also tired of the circle of birth and rebirth (reincarnatio) and wants to know who and what It really is and whence It came from, the mahanta appears to lead It back to God.

am wondering if Jesus and the Mahanta were to meet here, will they shake hands?

of course they will shake hands. if you follow the teachings of Jesus closely he emphasized on love and he also made references to the Holy spirit being the Medium that will lead us to all truth.
this is really what matters. your ability to tune in to the holy spirit will clear all the confusions about truth in your life. that is why the apostles laid so much emphasis on one having the Holy spirit.
because the coming of the Holy spirit in their lives was what transformed them. Singing the HU song is a very good way of opening your self to the Holy Spirit of God. then you will experience truth for yourself and you will no longer need to run to anybody to clarify anything for you any more.

no need to apologize. i will always try to answer to the best of my ability. The Mahanta is already with you but you have not recognized his presence. if you follow my explanation you will realize that the mahanta will appear in the form of the person you are most comfortable with especially the person you love most. start watching your dreams. before you sleep do your spiritual exercise and ask whatever question you want to ask. then watch your dreams.

sir, your answers are correct but they only appeal to the emotional level divorced of real rationaliy. When u say eckankar is not a personality cult, inasmush as i try to believe u, the attitudes of many eckists seems otherwise. Their overt reverence to the "mahanta" speak of this very well.

The question is  who is the Mahanta? The first cause is the Sugmad, the Supreme God. from God issues forth its word which is the Eck or the Holy Spirit. The twin aspects of the Holy spirit is the light and sound. The Holy Spirit is seen as a light and heard as a sound. The light and sound comes together into a form which you can easily relate to and that is the Mahanta. The Mahanta is a state of consciousness of pure love. The Mahanta is not a person. An individual who has matured to the level of pure love then earns the right to wear the mantle of consciousness of the Mahanta and becomes a pure channel for God's love to flow through to all life. This individual is then known as the Living Eck Master. The Mahanta is the Holy Spirit in a form you can easily relate to. that is why if you make an inner inquiry from the Holy spirit you will most likely see the form of a person that you are close to or someone you love coming to answer your question. It does not really matter to the Holy Spirit. what matters to It is that the message or the truth is  passed across to you. that is the work of the Mahanta.

When u also speak of eck teachings as being founded on universal truth. May i ask what universal truth? Is it the universal truth of surat shabd yoga which eck teachings are based and yet denies affiliation? Sir, there is a reason for the creator to endow man with sense of rationality and of logic.

the universal truth of " soul exist because of God's love for it" it is because of God's love that we as souls were sent down to the lower worlds to learn how to become love itself and then finally to go back home and become co-workers with God. of course there is a place for rationality and logic. it is a very good tool for survival in the lower worlds. but unfortunately you can not use rationality and logic to fathom out what God is or what It is not. you will just find yourself spinning around in circles. you have to drop the mind and go  like a little child into the presence of God. you have to experience God to understand. it is not something you can rationalize or use logical deductions. By the time you are tired of the play of the mind you find that God gradually reveals its glory to you.

When Harold was question on Paul plagiarism of Johnson Julian work "Path of the Masters", he simply said that the works of both Paul and Julian were both copied from the same astral prototype. If this is true, why was Darwin Gross threatened with legal actions when he published with eckankar's copywrite. He must have copied the astral version too? Sir, my personal conviction is that anything that cannot stand the litmus test of logic and systematic progression is far from truth. The whole eckankar corporation stands on falsehood and pseudo-spiritual experiences of  have blinded devotees to this fact. I am not surprised because this is a major trait in all religions. Thanks.

you see when i am presented with the issues as you have raised my reaction is to do an inner research, to find answers from the source of all life and not based on biased reports. all events that have ever happened in the world today are all recorded in the akashic records in the Causal Plane. the knowledge is there for those who make the efforts to find it. the information you get is for your personal consumption and if it is necesary for your spiritual growth and for the good of all.

if you believe that only things that stand the test of logic can stand for truth then good and fine. there is no problem with that. but for me i have experienced a lot of things that had no logical explanation in my search for
God that at a point i stopped all my questioning and like a little child i turned to God and asked It to please teach me according to my capacity to understand It's divine mysteries.

i still remain forever grateful for the so called pseudo-spritual experiences as you described it because instead of turning me off ,it rather spurred me on to find out for myself whether such experiences can be real. so i proved it for myself. so what other logical explanation do i need since i have seen things for myself.

i am very sorry if Eckankar did not meet your expectations. but of course nothing on earth is perfect. like i told you before the whole purpose of the outer Eckankar organization is to teach you how to go within you to find out things for yourself. no one can give you truth, you have to discover it and realize it by yourself. your experiences become your authority and not what is written in books.

Eckankar is not a personality cult and we do not worship or follow personalities. The focus is on the individual soul walking its own path to mastership.

The Eck teachings are founded on universal truths which soul can use to go back home to God.
The Eck masters are channels which God uses to make this truth available to ready souls. There are reasons why a certain master may take a certain action. But what matters is the spiritiual truth that is made available.

Like i told you earlier what matters to me is issues that will help me grow spiritually. As per the authenticity of the Eck Teachings, that i have already verified for myself and practicing the teachings have made me a much better person.

If these issues are quite worrisome to you, i still suggest that you start an inner questioning. The answers you will get from the Holy Spirit will be of more benefit to you than whatever i can tell you.

So my dear it is up to you.

But it can be polluted by the emotions and convoluted logic of man. History is replete with this fact. There is inherent truth in all paths but most is diluted by man

this is also very true. that is why every truth you come across has to be verified by an inner search within yourself and not an outer search within history books which leads the seeker to more confusion.

What surprises me in eckankar is how truth can be distorted by supposed proponents of truth. How else can one explain when Harold still hold the lies Paul perperated? Sir, pls be rational with this. Can truth (pure) be found in lies?

by the time truth is distilled from the inner planes to the outer world it is no longer pure truth. it is already distorted.
you can never find pure undiluted truth in the outer world. that is why the emphasis in Eckankar is for you to learn how to go into the inner planes where this truth comes from and see it for yourself. you would be surprised that you will go through the same difficulty if you try to distill, explain or rationalize your inner experiences with your mind. it is just not possible.

as a seeker of truth, your journey starts with the seeking of truth in the outer world. but a time comes in your spiritual growth when that seeking has to become an inward seeking. if you miss that point then you will forever be a spiritual critic. because you will never find a perfect path or a perfect human being in the outer world. you just have to go within.

The Master tells you not to believe anything you hear or see about truth even the one he tells you until you have verified that truth from the Holy Spirit of God that is within you. That is the key to spiritual clarification. and that is my stand. so i do not bother about what people say or think about anything. i take the truth that i have verified within myself and work with it to make my life and that of other souls better. That to me is what matters.

thank u sir. This is not a question of authencity or efficacy of the exercises but it is a question of eckankar as a legitimate path or system of thought. Eckankar is an invention of power hungry Paul Twichell. He skillfully stole truth from Sant Mat tradition incorporates it and commercialises it. Just as gold is gold whether found in a beggar's hand or a prince so also is truth. It is the same with a Saint or a theif. The Saint gives it freely while the theif sells it and poses to be the owner. Such is the case with Paul Twitchell and eckankar.

my dear, truth does not belong to anyone. truth only belongs to God. God uses humans as channels of this truth through the agency of the Holy Spirit to reach out to souls at various levels of consciousness. so if anyone steals truth and commercializes it, it is left for God to judge such a person. my only concern in this lifetime is to gather truth from wherever i can and to know it and to be it and eventually to become a co-worker with God.

I have always being a researcher into new age or alternative religious movements. I registered for eckankar last year with the hope that my quest for truth will be satisfied. At least, so i thought until i found a startling truth about eckankar. The of nature of which can not be fully explained here.
Sir, have you by any chance heard or read Prof. David Lane's work on the how the movement started?

my dear agi-tuedor, i have a library filled with Prof. David lane's work and not just that i also have materials on various criticisms leveled at Eckankar. i am not a fanatic. i am a very open minded person when it comes to issues concerning God. i had to sit down and ask myself some serious questions and weighed the pros and cons concerning the path in which i found myself. and after 19 years in Eckankar i can say that i have no regrets. when i look back in the past at what i was and look at myself now i can say that being an Eckist is worth it.

the question is why have i found the path so appealing despite all the criticisms and all the shortcomings. the reason is very simple. the outer path that you see is just one percent of what Eckankar has to offer. the other 99 percent lies within you. the outer path simple shows you how you can go within and found out any truth you want to know. i do not have to rely on what any one tells me. i do not have to rely on what is written in any book. i become an inner directed person.
your experiences become your authority.

i can assure you that your quest for truth will be satisfied if you stick with the Eck teachings and do the spiritual exercises as directed. but the choice is yours. you have to remember one thing. the Holy Spirit which we know in Eckankar as the ECK, is the medium that God uses to teach all souls the truth. the spiritual exercises link you up to the Holy Spirit which clears any spiritual confusion you have. so the choice is yours. you either judge Eckankar through your own experiences or you judge it through what other people say about it. it really doesn't matter because each of us as souls are on our own individual journey back to God and the Master is there to give a helping hand if you want it.
