A Seed for Contemplation

You are living the spiritual life when you conduct yourself and your business in the name of Divine Spirit. You touch many Souls during the course of the business day. Although you may never say one word openly to your customers, Divine Spirit touches all whom you meet, in some manner or another.

If we realize that our field of dreams is not the same as someone else’s field of dreams, we’ll get along better with that person. This is a hard thing to learn sometimes.

i beleev in afterlife/reincarnation or sumthin of dat sort lyk da Yorubas. i find dat idea much more comfortable dan burning in hell for eternity.
our fore fathers were on the right track concerning many spiritual truths especially reincarnation. no body taught them about reincarnation. they learnt about it by observation of events around them.

for example my friend told the story of a very rich man in their village who died and no body knew where he kept his money. later that rich man's son had a child. when the child was four years he would go to the foot of a plantain tree behind the house and start digging. all efforts to stop him from digging there failed. his father finally decided to dig up the place. when he did he found a box filled with his late father's house documents, share certificates and raw cash. he then realized that his son was the reincarnation of his late father and the boy was trying to draw his attention to  where he had buried his documents because he did not trust his relatives.

there are many other such examples of reincarnation. Souls keep on coming and going until they learn the lessons of life and graduate to become co-workers with God

Today someone said to another person, "you are so lovely", and the other person answered, "because you are seeing yourself", and of course , it caught the first person by surprise. Generally we see in others what we we are ourselves.

truth is not found in a book. books only point the way which you have to walk to find the truth. what you read in books are a compilations of other people's experiences tainted by their own bias and interpretation and further tainted by your own bias and interpretation. you need to go beyond the Scriptures and find the temple within where the holy spirit awaits you to teach you any thing you want to know about any mystery in life.

those who have made that connection with the Holy Spirit no longer bother with arguments over whether there are UFOs or not or whether Jesus is an alien or not. they become the living truth. co-workers with God and here only to give love and service to all life and that is all that matters.

You do not require a Church or a Religion or a Cult or a Brotherhood to preach a Universal Truth. one of such universal truths is this Love is the Beginning and the End If you understand the True Nature of Love, you need not follow so-called "God-inspired" (Human delivered - obviously for selfish reasons) literature of ancient tribes with "pagan" origins that the religious masses continue to blissfully ignore. If you understand Love, you will truly know God, whether he be Jewish, Arabic, Yoruba, Igbo, Orisha, IFA, Greek, Indian, Creole or Mayan.
thank you so much my brother. you have actually said it all. really i have always been impressed by the few atheists that i have come across in life. they have such a passion for life.
i believe that no one knows it all and we all have something to learn from each other. i like atheists a lot because they keep me on my toes and enables me to use my reasoning faculties to question my believes and put my believes under scrutiny.
common sense they said is not common at all. one should not lose his or her common sense in the name of religion.

you can begin your journey by singing HU a love song to God. It is sung in a long drawn out way. For starters you can sing it for 15 to 20 minutes before sleeping and after waking up in the morning.

Singing the HU gradually opens your heart to the love of God and tunes you to the divine guidance from the Holy Spirit. It also opens your inner eye enabling you to explore the many heavens of God.

To hear the sound of the HU song being sung by many people you can visit the website www.eckankar.org.

At the website you can also download some free ebooks on Eckankar which can throw more light on your quest.

I will be very happy to answer any further question you may wish to ask.

Good luck on your journey.

@ Poster,

i read the Holy Bible from the first chapter to the last several times. Lovely book and full of untapped spiritual truths. only those who have the eyes to see will see and tap the several golden truths scattered throughout the several books of the Holy Bible.

the Holy Bible actually started me on my spiritual journey. the more i read the more i wanted to be like the prophets depicted in the Bible but the question that remained was how can i be like them. what i was seeing in christendom was totally opposite to what i was understanding from the Holy Bible.

Eckankar, Religion of the Light and Sound of God came to my rescue and showed me how i can be a channel for God giving love to all life without any discrimination or bias.

At the end of the day all that matters is how much love have you been able to develop and give out in your life time and not how many people you have killed in the name of God.

Divine spirit often begins working for our welfare after we have made some small effort first. The love and protection of spirit surround you at all times but must be accepted with a loving heart.

there is really no problem with hawking believes.

in the cosmology of life such believes are allowed by God.  but all the same once soul sheds the physical body through the process of death  soul will be presented with a whole new cosmology operated by God and by that time there will be no time for philosophical  or scientific deliberation or queries. soul will come face to face with the reality of life  beyond the borders of death.

then hawking may realize that a computer may cease functioning but the electricity that flows through it giving it life continues to exist.

you are making a very valid point. these are things that Christians find hard to understand. the love of the almighty God is for every one. It sends the rain to fall on every one and It allows the sun to also shine on every body.

God created the earth and put immutable laws to control things. any one who follows the laws and principles of prosperity will be rich. it does not matter whether the person believes in the existence of God or not.

God is not even begging any one to believe in It and It really does not care if you worship it or not. the problem is that Christians confuse Jehovah as the almighty God which he certainly is not. Jehovah who is the tribal god of the isrealites is the one that is jealous and loves worship. The almighty God who we know as the Sugmad has no time for all these petty things. It is only interested in the expansion and growth of soul's consciousness so that soul can become mature and come back home to It.
I want to agree with you but out of couriosity, why are you using "it" for God?
i am using It for God because the almighty God is neither female nor male. like wise soul is neither female nor male. it is only in the lower worlds of polarity that soul takes on the body form of either male or female in order to experience life.

So your point is that no God is directly answering prayers but has put some laws in motion to control things, can you shed more lights on this
exactly as i have said it. there are spiritual laws governing the lower worlds which God has put in place to take care of things.

for example you have the law of karma which is also known as cause and effect. which was the law Jesus was trying to explain when he said that whatever you sow you will reap. if you sow evil you will reap evil and vice versa.

the law of assumption was what jesus was also trying to explain when he said that if you ask God for anything believe that you have already received it and it will come to pass at the right time.

these laws works for every soul whether you are a christian, a moslem or an atheist it really doesn't matter. This explains why if you look around you it is not only christians that are prospering and doing well in their lives. success in life cuts across all religions and all regions and that is why you will even see atheists doing very well in life. these spiritual laws of life are totally impersonal and does not ask you your religion before it starts working in your life.
