@wonderbod What is it like, schooling in canada. I sincerely hope to make it |
Since i joined this thread, Delta 007, Hotstepper and co have been amazing. They take time to respond to other people. I remember the first day i posted on this thread, the response was wow. I wish myself and all other aspiring Nairalanders a success in our applications. |
@Marcar I can only do night calls on weekends. I have added you to my yahoo messenger. |
@marcar can we meet on yahoo messenger? my id is benom55 |
@marcar I think the best thing is to visit the agent and see things for yourself. I have heard of maple and intend visiting them too although i heard they are very expensive. |
@EVERYONE I have been surfing the net trying to find out the meaning of "not a bonafide student". A bona fide student is a student that have been judged by the Visa Officer not to be an intending immigrant. Finally this boils down to ties to your country. Check out http://www.studyvec.com/studentvisa/page4.html |
@hannielle It depends on what you studied at uniport and what kind of degree you were awarded compared to what you are applying for. All provinces in canada have their own conversion method. You can contact the graduate chair for advice and from what i have learnt so far, they are very receptive and are willing to assist. In my case MUN refered me to an independent result verification and conversion body in canada which i pasted the link earlier. They charge u for their fees anyway. |
Hi, all our guys already in canada, Whats up. How are u all doing. Once in a while maybe u can just drop a little info in the house to show u are still here. Share some experience with us. |
yes money goes out of the account and comes in my housing allowance will drop into the account and i dont want them to think its borrowed funds. I am wondering how i am going to do that |
@Delta007 do you have an idea for how long the money need to be in your account before applying for visa. For example I receive a payment of 1m today. Can i apply in the next 1 wk? I am really expecting some serious money with which i can pay my entire fees but it will be coming like about 1 mth before i apply 4 visa. |
@ everyone in the house, do anyone have an idea for how long the money need to be in your account before applying for visa. For example I receive a payment of 1m today. Can i apply in the next 1 wk? |
Hi guys i just got a mail from the school i am applying to for msc. They sent me this link for international grade conversion in case anyone is confused about what his/her graqde will look like in U|S or Canada. http://www.wes.org/gradeconversionguide hope we will find it useful. |
Hi anyone knows how the embassy views post graduate diploma for candidates above 28yrs. I mean is there any chance of getting a visa to do PGD in canada |
@morpheus24 I am sorry for misjudging you I have been following the thread and u guys have been antagonizing each other and i feel its not good for a respected forum like this One luv |
@morpheus24 You kind of sound frustrated. I doubt if u are a nigerian cause we never get frustrated. Just for the records, i am a graduate and an IT specialist. I work for Nigeria's biggest bank and I come from a very humble background. You cannot excel when you carry the problems of 150 million people on your head. All i advice u to do is to stop whining like you a currently doing, believe in your capabilities as a true Nigerian (if u are one) and exhibit the rugged Naija sp4 4 ma guys in South Africa, Naija rocks and if u doubt it, then pay me a visit. |
We do have a real problem. Electricity, water, good roads and other basic amenities. Currently i work in the heart of the Niger Delta and i can tell u first hand how bad it is. In the face of all these adversities we are still moving on as a nation, still maintaining who we are as a people. This is a really big lesson i think other Africans need to learn from us. Do u guys ever take into consideration the number of west africans that claim to be Nigerians immediately they leave the shores of their country? Great countries are largely known for what they contribute to the lives of people, especially those around their geographical location. NAIJA Great Nation, Good People |
Hey guys i think the reason Nigeria is always on the spotlight is because of its economic importance to the world. Not even china can close its eyes to such a mouth watering market. South Africa is a great place with a lot of great people too. I strongly believe Nigeria and South Africa can steer Africa out of the murky waters of poverty if both comes together and make a concerted effort. This same level of beef u guys are exhibiting here here is the reason the South Atlantic Patrol Team could not materialize. We both have our highs and lows. South Africa has a fairly good manufacturing sector and a good foreign investment in the automobile industry. You cannot hide your face from South Africa's superb Air-force and superior Rand. Nigeria in turn has a stable Information Technology sector evident in its indigenous computer manufacturing and optical fiber backbone design and manufacturing company. It also has an amazingly reliable ground force, the best in the continent. South Africa has an alarming crime rate, second to none on the planet Nigeria has an unprecedented level of corruption If we can get over our own problems as a nation, then the sky is a starting point. pls anyone in the house with an idea on how long it takes from the time you apply for a visa to the time you get called for interview? |
@aieromon I was not talking about undergrad program. I actually meant 1 yr grad cert program how about we hook up on yahoo messenger or skype. u can add me. My yahoo ID is benom55. my skype ID is benny.omoregie. Lets share some ideas together. 08035790139 |
@delta, @fidelo, @cconcept, where are u guys |
@aieromon Thanks a million. The website you gave me was very resourceful. I also googled out maple consults and i will contact them to know what they can offer. I have also started out some background work on them so as to know their success rate. I met a consultant over the week and he told me that applicants are more likely to be issued a visa to study in a graduate certificate program than in a masters degree program. Anyone in the house with same or contrary opinions, @nairalanders. |
aieromon:Whats the maple way |
lanresz:Thanks. I'll check it out right away. |
