Just checked the FMJ site and my SEVIS receipt is out but with an error on my address. The country on the address was Benin instead of Nigeria. I think its was because i made the payment in Benin Republic.

I will also get an introduction letter from my office on monday.
Did u actually mean that my tax clearance and my pay slip will not be needed?

i finally made my sevis payment at seme. Really struggling to prepare for my interview which is only about a week away.
I pray God sees me through all this. He has the capacity to do all things.

I need to confirm if anyone inthis house know this guys and if they can be trusted.

i visited the website www.mysevisfee.com. Is it really a tries and trusted site? Cause i am not in lagos and it is kind of impossible for me to go to seme to pay. can anyone help me out?

@wilfem, I not scared of november. I've attended interviews where i stoood no chance at all but God gave me victory. I believe He will do it again.
Regarding the visa lottery thing, its not a determinant of who gets an F1 visa or not. The VO has no prior information about u until u appear before him. Then he uses the bar code number on the DS160 to call up your information on His screen. I had the same reservations on this dv thing too.
ALL THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY APPLIED FOR DV LOTTERY CAN CONTINUE WITH THEIR F1 APPLICATION WITHOUT FEAR. FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT APPLIED, DON'T.

@OjaP, allow me to celebrate your courage you have shown by posting you problems on this thread. It will go a long way to educate prospective applicants on how to go about their study in the US. I want u to know that the trust you have for this house have not been betrayed by the responses of a few. You can try transfering after this semester to a cheaper school. One of such is university of south dakota, vermillion.

@savemysoul, as far as I am concerned, red flags can be surmounted if u can defend yourself quickly and sharply.
1. 36yrs going for first degree is a red flag. This can however be countered by the fact that you have a HND and have been working for sometime.

Don't look at your weapons only. Also look at your strengths. You have a family and that is a very strong tie to your country.

Can u imagine. ETS sent result since september 14th. This is serious oh! I am planning to request for another copy to be sent to a friend's address in the US. I hope the VO will not pick on this.

The mail i sent to my school's grad admission officer has started yeilding results. I got a reply from her that my documents have been sent to my dept since sept 17. Almost immediately, a reply came from the dept that they have reached a decision and informed the grad school since sept 23rd. I just hope the person in charge will just do his/her job and send me my I20.

I have used my office address. THey said they have sent it since sept 14th. I pray I get it O!
And its not free. I paid 23USD for my GRE scores and 17 USD for my TOEFL scores. Na wah O!

I GOT AN I20 IN AUGUST AND BOOKED FOR INTERVIEW FOR NOVEMBER. I ALSO FILLED MY DS160 AND SUBMITTED.

NOW I HAVE ANOTHER I20 FROM A DIFFERENT SCHOOL WHICH I STRONGLY PREFER TO THE SCHOOL I USED BEFORE.

I NEED TO CHANGE MY DETAILS AND I WAS TOLD THAT I CANNOT MODIFY MY DS160.

HOW DO I GO ABOUT THIS. I REALLY NEED HELP PLEASE AND I NEED IT QUICKLY.

@DANTECMU, I DID NOT FILL DS 156. THE NEW ONE IS DS 160 AND ITS SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY. ONCE SUBMITTED, IT CANNOT BE MODIFIED.

I filled the vfs form online and picked a date. I also filled the ds160. The issue now is that i need to change the school i filled in my forms. I am aware i can modify my vfs application on the vfs website.
My question is this.

DO I HAVE TO FILL A NEW DS160 FORM.
