It is encouraging that you took up the challenge to show us any of GEJ's thesis or publication, the problem is that the said paper is neither a thesis or a publication. It was appropriately labeled Conference or workshop item. It was a joint paper presented at a workshop. It would be very difficult to determine jonathan's contributions.

Meanwhile please help clarify these discrepancies in Jonathan's academic records;

He obtained his M.sc at the University of Port Harcourt in 1985 and he was a Lecturer at the Dept. Of Biology, Rivers State College of Education, Port Harcourt from 1983 – 1993. How did that work? he was lecturing at one university while studying to obtain an M.sc in another university.
why are u ppl out of tune with what transpires in the world.you can be employed and take a study leave to finish your academic programme.this generation is lacking in so many ways angry

Politics / Buhari accused Oyo people of killing his People. by benson81(m): 9:35pm On Dec 21, 2014
How Lam prevented another civil war’ - The Nation November 18, 2012
Written by Yusuf Alli, Abuja
• Ex-CPS recalls the late gov’s encounter with Buhari

But for the maturity and wisdom of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Alhaji Lam Adesina, Nigeria could have been plunged into a second civil war.

A former Chief Press Secretary to the late Governor, Chief Kehinde Olaosebikan, yesterday said in Abuja that a conflict between Yoruba and Hausa-Fulani would have thrown the country into another war.

He told our correspondent that a former Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, had led a combative delegation of Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) to meet Adesina in 2000 in his office.

According to him, “Precisely on the 13th of October, 2000, former military Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari, in company with former Military administrator of Lagos State, General Buba Marwa, had led a heavy team of Arewa Consultative Forum in a combative mood to the office of the governor in protest against the alleged killings of over 69 Fulani cattle herders in Saki Area of the state.

“General Buhari whose arrival to the Secretariat complex was preceded by scores of lorry loads of Hausa men and boys said pointedly at the executive council chambers of Oyo State that his team came to meet the governor to seek reasons why the people of Saki should not be dealt with for killing Fulani herdsmen. He did not stop at that, Gen Buhari accused Governor Lam Adesina of complicity in the killings and using his position as governor to pervert justice.

He quoted the former Head of State as accusing the former governor of shielding the culprits. According to the General, they therefore wanted immediate stoppage of the killings, justice and compensation for the mass killings of the Fulanis or vengeance across the country.

Olaosebikan added: “As weighty, indicting and provocative as the General’s allegations were against the governor, Alhaji Lam Adesina remained unperturbed as he only fired back with his own well-coordinated arsenals in form of refined strategy, robust explanations and effective engagements.

“Lam Adesina identified all the points raised by the General and simply asked the heads of the organisations directly involved to respond.”

He quoted Lam Adesina as saying: “ Before I thank you for this visit, you have come to tell me something, I also want to tell you something and that something is to make an appeal. General Buhari has been a former Head of State, Brigadier Marwa has governed Lagos for some time and with credibility… so you are national leaders of this country. Even though, by accident of birth, you are from the North, so you can be born anywhere, may be next time when I am coming to the world I will be born in the North or the South South.’

He attributed the manner in which frayed nerves calmed to the level-headedness of the late governor, thus preventing what could have led to another civil war.

Speaking to the Hausa?service of the Voice of America, VOA, five?days after the 16TH April ?contoversial'Presidential election and a day after the end of the unfortunate post election riots, General Muhammad Buhari, the Presidential candidate of the CPC, alleged complicity of the INEC in an alleged massive computer-aided rigging of Presidential election in favor of the PDP. He also lamented that INEC Chairman,Professor Jega, ignored the complaints of his party agents. Buhari, again, reiterated that CPC supporters in the South East and the South South were disenfranchised. He also spoke through?Yinka Odumakin on the post election violence, where he cautioned his supporters against destruction of worship houses, describing the act as worse than the rigging perpetrated against his party. On its part, INEC said it would not join issues with Buhari.

The aim of this piece is to collate the opinions of different people in regard to the above statements from the highly respected General Buhari and I gathered the opinions from the online reactions from a refutable newspaper (LEADERSHIP 22th,April). Let me start from the opinion of one Agboola O, who wrote ? Buhari?prepared the ground for this violence with his allegations while the election was still underway and afterwards by challenging the results', while another person Liman A said ? The results of the presidential election are just what we expected to get from the PDP government. Let's start strategizing for the 2015 polls now by voting out these PDP governors'. But in the opinion of Ahmadu M. ?Buhari should be held responsible for the post-elections crisis. Even before the election results, the man started complaining of rigging, sending wrong signals to his supporters'

Patrick A., seems to have disagreed in a diplomatic manner and he wrote ?Buhari,it is your constitutional right to go to the courts to challenge the results of the elections, but bear in mind that the election is judged by majority of people, both in and outside Nigeria, to have been free and fair and that you never won a single state in the south of Nigeria, nor came near to winning one state. Buhari, you could have given Jonathan the benefit of the doubt. Congratulate him, give peace a chance, give this democratic process a breathing space, step back, take a long breath, give us a break and above all, don't be a bad?loser. The people of Nigeria have spoken and the judiciary should not be used to suppress the decision of Nigerians'.While, Usman S have different opinion that ? The hypocrisy of the ruling elite never ceases to amaze one. They promised free and fair elections, knowing it would be anything but that They have professionally rigged the elections and called it divine intervention. The problem with the North is that they have expected and tried to counteract PDP's hypocrisy, deceit and pretence. What remains for the North now is to bury the hatchet, engage in the massive development of the North to reduce the perceived dependence on other regions of the country, carry out systematic literacy campaigns,to empower the youth and reposition itself for future elections.Islam abhors the taking of life. Remember that democracy started in Islam and our religion teaches us that we should persevere and be law-abiding. Please stop the killing and let's take an intelligent approach to reclaiming and redeeming our image.'

The following contributors wrote on the violence, according to Mani K, ? This is nothing but arrogance, wickedness and insensitivity of the highest order. This statement says nothing about the hundreds of Nigerian lives (mostly Christians and southerners) lost and properties destroyed. There will be no Nigeria if Jonathan fails to prosecute those behind these heinous crimes against humanity. He must do the right thing by ensuring that perpetrators are arrested and prosecuted. They must not go unpunished'. ?Taking innocent life is not proper. But PDP has been rigging itself into power for the past 12 years. Christians and Muslims alike are all guilty of this bloodshed' is the opinion of Yusuf D. Then his name sake one Yusuf A, collaborated thus ? Let us be realistic for once please. Muslims died too. So let us stop these wrong accusations and leave Buhari and Bakare alone. They have been killing Muslims in Jos for some time now, people didn't complaint. Muslims are not animals for God's sake. They are humans too. To Muslim brothers and sisters, Islam does not preach violence. It is wrong to burn churches and kill Christians. What happened after the presidential election was politically motivated.' Bola C, was more concerned on the death of some NYSC members thus ?It is very disheartening that corpers were burnt alive in Bauchi.Nigerians don't get burnt alive in Ghana,UK or the US, but our youths get killed like chickens in what is supposed to be their own country.

According to Samira D ?Let the truth be told. It was not in the South South and South East geo-political zones that Buhari lost the election. He lost the election in some parts of the North. In the North we have a total of 20 states (19 plus FCT) but Buhari won in only 12 states, losing a whopping 8 states to Jonathan.Even in the 12 states where Buhari won,he only recorded a total of 10,128,418 votes, while Jonathan recorded an impressive total of 4,590,107 votes in the same states. Add this to the fact that it is nothidden that the SS,SE,and SW zones overwhelmingly rejected Buhari at the polls. How on earth will any sane-minded person expect Buhar to win the polls, with or without rigging?'Kennedy M, speaks similar to Samira ?Buhari rejected all the results from SE and SS which were acclaimed even before the elections as Jonathan's strongholds. In these two zones,Buhari did very little or no campaigning. It is a well known fact that Buhari has no appeal to voters in these zones. That notwithstanding, it is very instructive for Buhari to take a second look at the election results without the votes from the SS,SE.

One thing that is very clear from these reactions is the fact that the post election violence has done damage to the personality of incorruptible Buhari. But it is a fact that Buhari and CPC had no hand in the crisis as mirrored by Adamu Adamu ? While nobody would defend murder, arson, or related malicious hooliganism in today's Nigeria, just as one could defend the Weitie of the wild, wild west or the west's incendiary expression of its intolerance to Akin Omoboriowo's NPN's electoral victory in 1983. Lives and property went up flames, but no one, including those accusing Buhari toda, attempted to suggest that the crisis was caused by Chief Awolowo then.

Politics / Re: What Did OBJ Say About Himself And His Administration In His New Book? by benson81(m): 6:17pm On Dec 12, 2014
Simkreative:
Hello NL's
I have read countless number of post on Facebook, numerous tweets on twitter, lots of ''Send to 10 people'' messages on Whatsap, and even some front-page stories on nairaland where Former President Olusegun Obansanjo spoke about Past and Present leaders in his new book.

He condemned GEJ, and even went as far as calling GEJ's Administration a Failiure

He spoke very bad about Late Umaru Musa Yar'adua and called the dead man a BETRAYER and a SNITCH.

He spoke well of GMB, and called him a honest and trustworthy leader.

He spoke about Atiku, Ribadu, Sharaki, Tinubu and host of others.
But my problem with the book ''So far that I know'' dont contain anything about OBJ and his Administration.

My Question is, what is OBJ saying about himself, because the last time i checked he Led this country for 8years
OP u forgot to add 3 yrs of military ruler making it 11yrs
Politics / APC Democracy In Practice In Imo State? by benson81(m): 6:34am On Dec 12, 2014
APC was welcomed by number of ppl in the country because of the need for a formidable opposition and the need for change from some the practices we had been seeing. But lo and behold we are seeing some things which are not so democratic.Take for example Rochas Okorocha contested for the Presidential primaries. There was candidates not allowed to contest then in case he would not be able to meet up with the deadline for submission of names with INEC he brought his son-inlaw to pick the ticket to hold the forth. Then after failing in the presidential primaries. His son-inlaw withdraws only for okorocha to emerge again as consensus.is that change from what we have been seeing in the past?

I don't think OBJ had third term agenda. If he did and as he has boasted many times before there was nothing stopping him. NIGERIA IS A VERY USELESS COUNTRY GOVERNED BY THE WEAKEST, MOST UN-NTELLIGENTI AND MOST COWARDLY PEOPLE.
Everybody in PDP is a political prostitute. Self seeking, soft in the head, selfish and materialistic. If Obj had used EFCC and money he would have gotten third term easily if he wanted and he had unbelievable money.
We need to remove this party in 2015 before they gang up and sell this country.
There was a third term agenda which was stopped by Ken Nnamani and co at the N/A.any sane Nigerian knows.Obj's denial or book does not change that.
