I am not surprised at all.it is well known inthe state that the state is run by george Feyii the ssg and okocha the cos in the Governors absence.Ikuru has been sidelined lately, only that he is not a noisemaker. Then in the past weeks his supporters have always been in the media complaining that the State APC chairman who is frm his LGA is being used to sideline and undermine him in there Andoni LGA.I guess he left out of frustration.

I watched the debate from start to finish, didn't see anyway it was compromised to favour mr president. The same questions were asked across board
Firefire:
I don't know what APC is trying to hide for Nigerians.

They alleged that the debate organizers were compromised by Goodluck Jonathan.

Channels offered it platform, APC still absconded.

PDP offer to engage Buhari in TVC or any provided media house of APC's choice, APC still say NO!

I presume, they don't want Nigerian to know the extent of Mr. Buhari IQ

- His controversial school certificate

- His state of health

- His ability to communicate could also be a major issue.

"The All Progressives Congress (APC) Director of Strategy, Dele Alake, has said that the party’s presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, would not attend the presidential debate organised by Channels Television, Arise TV and NPAN".

Alake accused some Nigerian media organisations of being compromised. He said that he could not vouch for the independence of some of the organisers of the debate

Nigerians, time to CHANGE your camp. What is APC hiding ?

Before this my comment, over 45 people viewed this post and could not express their opinion in writing. May be because it is not APC and PDP, GEJ and GMB. What I see is that Nigerians are nothing but people that are good at finding faults in others while paying little attention to the log embedded in their eyes. This is NLC, the same thing happened in NBA 3 years ago. I still think as we rant CHANGE and FORWARD everywhere, Nigerians should start the change and forward march from themselves before expecting miracles from GEJ or GMB.
U spoke my mind here.all the ppl commenting on politics ask or find out how they manage there families, offices, town meetings etc and u will be surprised that they are worse than our leaders!
Politics / How Buhari Turned From Anti Obasanjo To Pro Obasanjo! by benson81(m): 4:10pm On Feb 12, 2015
Politicians are always being accused of saying not truth, but just something to have a better face for their voters. So it is instructive to recall every current comment against the dependable background of history.

Yesterday, February 11th, information emerged that former Nigeria’s president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo had at last expressed his support to one of the presidential candidates  the opposition’s leader, General Muhammadu Buhari – even going so far as to suppose that incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan is ‘mediocre.’

General Buhari in his response to the endorsement told Christiane Amanpour on CNN that he is very happy of such development.

He said: “It means more supporters and more confidence for those still sitting on the fence. He’s well respected. No serious issue can happen (in Nigeria) without people seeking his opinion and listening to it.”

But let’s recall the year of 2012, when Mr. Buhari blamed President Jonathan, Ibrahim Babangida and Olusegun Obasanjo for ‘killing’ Nigeria’s oil industry.

He also accused them of the Nigeria’s terrorism.

According to Sahara Reporters, Buhari said: “The biggest challenge of Nigeria is for adequate security to be in place and ways in which we can protect the riches of this country and provide job opportunities for the youths in the country, so that we can build more industries as it was before.”

“Inability of these industries to work has brought mistrust and corruption to Nigeria. Therefore, our leaders have to be sincere and lead with the fear of God and carry all along for Nigeria to be a better place.”

In 2004, Vanguard reported this story: “Presidential candidate of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), General Muhammadu Buhari, has accused President Olusegun Obasanjo of habitually shedding crocodile tears after each mayhem in the country “when he would have averted them through purposeful leadership and genuine concern for the lives and welfare of the citizens.”

In a comment in Abuja, General Buhari was cited by his spokesperson, Mr. Uche Ezechukwu, as lamenting “the inability of the Obasanjo administration under whose tenure Nigeria has recorded the greatest number of violent incidents and consequently the highest number of losses of innocent lives since the civil war, to have found a proactive formula for stemming the tide of those frequent and totally avoidable incidents.”

This is similar of El-Rufai’s apparently gave support of Buhari right now when in the past he wrote polemics against the general.

It should be noted that Chief Obasanjo has already denied endorsing APC presidential candidate, saying he wants a strong president for Nigeria.

The ruling Peoples Democratic Congress speaking about Obasanjo’s decision said Obasanjo is entitled to his own opinion.

While ex-minister of State for Defence Senator Musiliu Obanikoro has stated that Obasanjo’s endorsement is meaningless.

Politics / Re: Ignorant APC Vice Prof. Osinbajo Does Not Know Gas by benson81(m): 1:51pm On Feb 12, 2015
ogb5:
Voting in knowledgeable people is one of the beauty of democracy. This has been well developed by the advanced democracies in the west. To ensure that the nation elects the right people with the right skills, experience and qualifications, politicians are normally grilled on a range of subjects to gauge their understanding of the issues affecting their countries or constituency as the case may be.

In this vein looking at the power policy thrust of the APC as being put forward by no other person than their vice presidential candidate bring to fore some gross deficiency in the policy of the APC on power and shows that professor Osinbajo does not know what power generation entails.

The APC vice has consistently said that their government will improve power supply, the question is how will they do that.
The answer to the question of 'how' was answered by Osinbajo on Tuesday in Ondo during a town hall session. This is what he had to say.

1. They will decentralise power generation.
2. The decentralised power plants will have gas supplied to them by trucks instead of pipelines
3. They will copy the model of power plants already established in Lagos state.

herein lies the ignorance of the professor, also hidden in the rhetoric of the professor is the avenue for looting the treasury.
1. Power generation has been decentralised. Anyone, be it federal government, state government, local government or private companies can now set up power generation plant and sell such produced power as they deem fit. So Osinbajo should tell us something different.

2. Technically you can not supply a power plant like the one in Lagos with gas using trucks. This simply mean the professor and those formulating his policy on power generation knows nothing about power generation. The Lagos plant uses natural gas, that is another theme for methane gas. Industrially methane has 2 means of being transported, by pipelines when the point of use is less than 5,000 km and as liquefied natural gas by ships followed by re gasification when the point of use is more than 5, 000 km from the point of production. The gas supplied by trucks is liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) used for domestic cooking. No country in the world bases her power generation on LPG. Moreover Nigeria does not have the facility to produce adequate LPG to cater for domestic cooking, so using LPG for power generation is out of the question. So Osinbajo promising to supply gas to power plants with trucks is simply talking about something that is not possible.

3. Osinbajo promised to model his modular power plants after the Lagos power plant. Simply put, the Lagos power plant is among the most expensive gas fired power plant in the world. The Ikeja modular power plant has an installed capacity of 10 megawatts and was built at a cost of 3.2 billion Naira. That was equivalent to about 2 billion usd per gigawatt of electricity. Globally the benchmark cost for gas fired power plants is 1 billion usd per gigawatt of electricity, the Ikeja plant cost twice the global benchmark for such plants. By planning to go with the Lagos model, Osinbajo is telling us the will deliver power at twice the global benchmark cost, and at a cost far higher than the current government is delivering power projects. Several gas fired power plants delivered by the current government in the last 4 yrs were delivered at less than 1 . 3 billion usd per gigawatt.

So Osinbajo has no clue about power generation, he is simply spooling out impossible promises to confuse the electorates. Worse part is that he is a pastor that is supposed to stand by the truth, how will he face God at the end of the day after telling blatant lies on the campaign trail.

Effusive praises and adulations for a deceased King who presided over a barbaric regime with one of the worst human rights record in the World. The hypocrisy of the West is sickening. See their leaders falling over themselves to celebrate a deceased despot who ran a govt. that regularly beheads its citizens on the streets publicly. Such barbarism in the 21st century while the U.S and its allies look away. All for Oil, I can imagine the expected U-turn when the U.S achieves energy independence-Gadhafi in Libya and Hosni Mubarak in Egypt readily comes to mind. Yet they cant sell weapons to Nigeria because our Army abuses "human rights". Bloody hypocrites. John Kerry should take his election sermon to the Prudential Mall in Boston..mtchewww!!
