I have this movie for awhile, started it but the slow space made me stop it, to return na wahala. I'll try to finish it.

It's not a movie for everyone. It's very slow paced. I won't recommend it for anyone unless I'm sure he's a fellow drama lover like me. Drama genre is what I call the boring genre but it's a genre that displays the character arc of actors the best. The movie gets interesting from the last 40 minutes if you are patient enough.

Are you living under a rock not to see how everything wrong with United this season has been blamed on Ronaldo by our rivals and some naive fans? They claimed Ronaldo is the reason we can't score no more and Greenwood, Bruno and Co are not scoring.

So, in essence I'm saying if Ronaldo was playing for a team like City and banging in goals, he wouldn't be feeling frustrated on the pitch when our midfielders and wingers keep playing rubbish match after match and there won't editorials all over the net questioning if he's the reason we've been poor this season.


Also, Salah has been having a personal stellar campaign but he's frustrated in this match because of poor supporting casts. That's what is happening to Ronaldo too. It's not rocket science.

Watching Salah struggling to even get as much as a screen time, makes me pity Ronaldo and the bad situation he's gotten himself into by joining this team.

No matter how good you are, you need a bit of quality around you to excel in football. See how world-class Salah is looking frustrated and clueless on the pitch.

You don't understand my point is the issue here. Batman story has been told and retold many times. Meaning most of the storylines, characters featured and so on have been done how many times? It keeps getting rebooted and similar story told again and again with similar characters as villains.

How many times have we heard batman origin story? How many times has he gone against joker and the likes? James Bond you mentioned are the storylines and villains repeated?

Again weda batman does well or doesn't do well in box office isn't the issue. The issue is the constant need to reboot and retell the same stories again and again. At least if iron man gets rebooted he shouldn't be fighting the same old villains he has fought for ages. I even said it in the post you quoted, that Batman should be rebooted if they are willing to do something fresh not same old same old.

That's what marvel did with spiderman, made him a kid, also brought in new villains. And this was after giving other Marvel characters their day in the sun. Give other DC characters same treatment. Funny thing they already have an active batman in the DCEU, but still they choose to reboot it again and tell the story all over again. Why not tell a story with the current batman?

Its like MCU having an active Thor, then making a reboot outside the MCU to tell the Thor story all over again. What's the point? The time and energy used to do that could be used to bring new fun characters into play in DCEU or at least strengthen the legs of the DCEU batman.

I clearly understood your point and my point is that yours is biased and targeting just Batman. There's no crime you've pointed out in your post that other superhero movies or rebooted movies are not guilty of, hence my earlier reply that you'd take your sermon to other movie franchise as well.

Now let's start with for example Spiderman. Spiderman just repeated not just one villain, but multiple villains from the past in their latest installment. I wonder why you're not complaining about it. But you were fast to remember Batman that repeated villains.

Meanwhile Batman villains from Batman Forever to last one are:

Two-Face
The Riddler
Mr Freeze
Ra's al Ghul
Joker (here the origin of Two-Face gets told)
Bane
Doomsday (BvS) etc.

As you can see, different villains for each installment, same way other studios are doing others but it's only Batman you have a problem with.

You complained Batman not having origin movie, the story of Batman was told in Batman Begins. The origin of Joker was told in latest Joker movie.

Let me brush your memory that Spider-Man repeat stories all the time. It's basically about a kid who lives with his aunt and got bitten by a radioactive spider and gained superhuman strength, then has a secondary school crush/girlfriend and fights the villain that comes up in each of the installment. Is there anything majorly different from this rehashed storyline?

For James Bond. Here is what majorly sums up the movie despite it being over 30 years old:

Jams Bond a secret agent for the MI6.
A villain that has weapon or biotechnology instrument to wipe out large number of humans.
There is a character called Moneypenny.
Another called M.
Another called Q.
There are arrays of hi-tech watches, weapons and cars etc that can perform more than your run-of-the-mill actions.

This basically sums up James Bond movies.

Wash, rinse and repeat. Nothing different after 30 years and people still watch it.

I get your point and they are kinda valid, but you preaching it against only Batman means you won't been taken serious by me until you criticize all other studios that does the exact same thing.

Totally wrong. The first Spiderman made-for-television film was produced in 1977 with Nicholas Hammond being the first ever Spiderman and acting the character throughout the 70s. By 1978 it had become a series. This info alone means no need arguing this further.

I repeat, if Spiderman is still being produced since 1977 with different actors (Tom Holland's contract will soon run out and another person would be chosen as it's the tradition), then Batman will keep getting the same treatment. How about James Bond? James Bond have over 6 actors and keeps getting produced periodically and it's okay to you but Batman shouldn't get the same courtesy because you are probably not a fan of it.

Sit back, relax and watch people go to cinema to watch the Batman. If it doesn't do well at the box office, it wouldn't be because people are tired of it, but simply because the script was weak. Superhero genre is one genre that keeps getting produced periodically. Get used to it. In the future, despite Iron Man being dead in the MCU world, there will be another Iron Man movie. This is fact.

Always got held back from watching The Witcher because of the uninspiring reviews of its season 1 on here, but seeing as season 2 has been positive reviews all through, have downloaded both seasons from Tfpdl. Starting from tomorrow, I feast.
