Yeah. We have plenty TVs in our house. Extra tv is not the problem. Both our wives (me and my bros) hate videogames with a passion. The hissing and the stink-eye we get when playing FIFA from them.

As for the hotel, we don't need to lodge if our friend, the owner is around. We use the lounge TV.

I'm guessing that you are older than me. I grew up with movies and game and so they are part of me. Even at 90, I will watch movies at cinema.

Prepare for my review of the new Jurassic Park movie
@emboldened, that settles it then. As long as you're not spending money, it's perfectly fine.

On women hating video games, it's a norm here. I think it's a Nigerian women thingy because in foreign countries, their girls like video games and sports which many Nigerian girls don't like.

Thor love and thunder?

Omo, cinema is the only enjoyment I have outside sex and football.

My partner hates when I play video games. Na so me and my bros dey carry our ps4 and ps5 to hotel to play FIFA. Even our nephews and nieces will not even allow us to concentrate on games.

I'm a cinema freak. Going to watch the latest Jurassic park movie in cinema later.

Getting old mennn
I might see Thor Love and Thunder in cinema but it's on probability because I've got zero anticipation for it especially after seeing its trailer. Every other movie this year except Avatar 2 is on probability of me going to cinema for them. I'm all hyped up for Avatar 2 that I'm targeting watching it on its first week of debut before someone spoils it for me. I won't wait for high seas for that one.

LOL. Don't you feel it's waste of money going to hotel to lodge to enjoy your PS5? The money you and your friend spend to lodge in hotels can be pulled together to get another TV where you can enjoy your stuff while she has another TV to watch her favorite programs.

Whether my partner likes my game time or not, I'll never go to hotel to play them. No freaking way. She has to make sacrifices for that as I do make sacrifices for things she likes as well.

You guys that go to cinemas, how do you people concentrate with all the noises and distractions? Mr beorn or should i call you bbnaijabeorn
I don't know which cinema you go to, but the ones I've gone to, the sound inside the cinema room is crystal clear and loud. Of course, some people will inevitably talk while the movie is going on but it's not that distracting.

I've only been distracted once when two stupid teenage lovers were giggling and gossiping like two cursed demented toads some years ago but , other than that, it's been a smooth experience.

Besdies, I don't go to the cinema that much. Just once in a blue moon. I was at the cinema for The Batman and my next one will be Avatar 2 by God's grace. For other movies coming out this year, I doubt they'd elicit the hunger to go to cinema to see them.

I saw the "Black Adam" trailer and i didn't feel as excited as i thought i was supposed to, not that it was not good per say, but it felt like the thousands of "Superhero" movie that had come before it, there was no certain "spark" and i totally know what to expect even before seeing the movie. Not that i have anything against the "Superhero genre", but I think i might have totally had my fill of them at this point and marvel releasing "superhero genre" content every 7 business days is not helping matters.
This is why I avoid most trailers. Till today, I've refused to watch the trailer of Avatar 2 and won't watch it. I want to go to the cinema totally clueless of anything that happened.

That said, I agree with your posts totally. The last superhero genre movie that I anticipated so much was Avengers Endgame.

Perhaps I should start paying more attention to Rotten Tomatoes movie ratings; it might save me a lot of time and frustration.
I'm fan of using ratings to sieve films to watch. Although ratings are not infallible, they've saved my movie life more than they have ruined them.

Once in a while, I don't heed to their warnings and still go ahead to watch a lowly rated movie especially if I'm a huge fan of the actor and/or actress in it, but Zac Efron has never been a top actor and I've never been a fan of him.

So, for the fact that Rotten Tomatoes, that gives out high ratings more than the fabled Santa Clause gives out gifts, could rate such a movie very low, it shows you how poor such a movie would likely be.

**Firestarter**

Uninteresting, awkwardly shot, flat lighting, no suspense, no memorable scenes. This is the second film I've seen today with a script that feels like it's missing a lot of material. The third act sucked.

The film's Rotten Tomatoes score of 13 percent perfectly sums it up.
The rating was enough reason for me to avoid it. I'm glad I did.

I didn't see anywhere he said that, he said it's because of he plays for City and Pep.
If City and Pep had gone trophyless last season like United, do you think KdB would've have won ahead of Bruno?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Beorn: 9:00pm On May 12, 2022
Ellexy:
Lemme start with your last statement, I don't drag Bruno whenever KDB has a good game, I simply call him out whenever he[Bruno] has a poor game which didn't start this season. We saw it towards the end of last season but because he has stats to back him up some were treating him like a sacred cow. Nobody is above dragging, Ronaldo included.

For you to say KDB won over Bruno just on the basis of the club he plays for is nonsense. United no matter how poor we've been is still clear off City influence wise both in England and the world at large. KDB simply had an edge because he turns up in big and important games where it matters and actually dominates, they were the champions as well.

When you compare KDB's stats with Bruno's last season and consider the the number of games KDB missed then you'll respect the guy. I am a firm defender of Bruno on this board against the likes of Trevor but doesn't mean I'll be sentimental with him always, he's no Ronaldo.

Also if United wins the league next season for example and Bruno performs well like he did last season, I guarantee you he'll win the PFA best player easily.
You are just contradicting yourself. Your opponent made this same assertion which you disagreed with only to reiterate what he said.

He was of the opinion that KdB won the PFA because of Man City's league last season, you disagreed initially with him but you're now agreeing with him because according you, United have to win the league before Bruno will win the PFA. So, in essence, no matter Bruno's performance any season as long United goes trophyless, he won't win the PFA.

LOL. Bro, the blood of your MB won't judge me as long as you don't bother with The Bourne Legacy. That one almost ruined the franchise. Damon didn't starr in it and director for the other movies didn't direct it hence why it was trash. But you can still choose to watch it if you have MB to waste. But you see the others? I promise you, you won't stop for a second till you're done with each of them.

Develop a peculiar taste and stick to it.

Matrix latest installment.

MIB : International

Last Saw installment

And many other blockbusters, I don't bother myself with them because I refuse to be contaminated.

Infact, yesterday evening on Netflix when I was bored and needed something adrenaline pumping, was the first time I am seeing the Jason Bourne franchise and I only picked up the 2016 release, read up about the other installments on Wikipedia to catch up on the plot.

Only watch sensible things, not those nonsense in your screenshot.
That's a movie travesty right there. Bourne movie franchise apart from The Bourne Legacy are not movies you read up the plots on the internet. That's a solid piece of action with adrenaline pumping fight scenes and fantastic storylines you just wasted.

When you watch the rest of the franchise, you'd know why reading the plot by no means did justice to those movies.

Lol, seems you missed HBO's Westworld.
Oh, she was there too? I haven't seen Westworld, I read conflicting appraisals about it so it deterred me from giving it a go. Some said it was too complicated. Some said the series is confusing. Some praised it, some trashed it. I kukuma say make I free am seeing as it's been a struggle for me trying to combine both movies and series.

If you know the number of series I haven't touched despite downloading them, you'd have pity on me. I can't even begin to list them. Once I see a highly rated series on the series thread, I download sharperly and keep but to see it becomes a Herculian task afterwards. angry sad cry

All The Old Knives (2022). 7/10.

When I first learnt of this movie, I was skeptical at first having seen The Contractor starring the same Chris Pine few weeks before its release, which was a monumental disappointment. Didn't want to download it especially when 2 posters which I don't trust their ratings had already trashed it, but I decided to see it for myself and I'm glad I did.

Chris Pine reedemed himself in my eyes after that garbage called The Contractor. It was a well-written script except for one or two plot holes. The pacing was on point as well as the acting. Seeing Thandiwe Newton stark nakëd was a bit shocking as well but at her age, she's not looking bad at all. Nice movie with a lovely twist.

For me the battle of the five armies began and ended with the battle with smaug angry cry

For that very reason.

My best Harry Potter movie is the chamber of secrets. It was 100% true to the source material. And it featured the hero sucking it up and going into the monsters lair alone
So, that means the other movies in the Harry Potter franchise didn't stay 100% true to the source material? I think it's high time I'd read those novels.

The hobbit nko?

Anyone who has read the hobbit will be amazed how they forced a 70 page children's book into 9 hours.
The battle of the five armies is a miracle of padding the last three pages of the book.

I found it so hard to enjoy the hobbit movie for this reason.
I've seen The Hobbit less than LotR trilogy, but I think I've seen the first 2 parts thrice and The Battle of Five Armies up to 5 times. The Battle of the Five Armies is the magnum opus of the Hobbit trilogy that's why I've seen it more.

But with your revelation, I'm glad I haven't read the book, or hadn't read it before watching it, because I might have ended up not liking it as much as I do. Same way those that read the Harry Potter novels said the movie didn't do justice to the novels that much. I think it's a reoccurring theme with movies adapted from epic novels.
