Operation Finale. 8/10.

One of the best movies I've seen this year. These Holocaust movies never gets old, always emotional and thought-provoking. Netflix really tried on this one.

You need to go back to school of you do not understand the context in which the word "fool" was used in that sentence.
Even if I have never attended any school in my life, it doesn't change the fact about your brazen lie and the weak attempt to circumvent around it. You wanted LvG and Moyes sacked and lied about always supporting our managers. Own up to it.

For the character digging up past posts,I hope wish more grease to your elbows.
A human being should be dynamic and only a fool will keep on doing the same thing and expect a different result.
Since Sir Alex retired Manchester United has had three different managers with almost the same result after millions of Pounds have been spent on acquiring players.
David Moyes was sacked.
Louis Van Gaal was sacked.
He's a now a fool because he exposed your lies about supporting every United manager and not wanting them sacked. I guess both Moyes and Van Gaal were Enyimba coaches. You'd hide your face in shame or keep quiet instead of further disgracing yourself.

Beorn,

Upon reading my comment again, i want to make it clear that I was joking about the dark side and batman. Many people here seem not to understand sarcasm and jokes.

I am not angry ooo. I let go of my anger towards ishilove many years ago. Please, my antics here are all done for fun.
I've enjoyed some of your trolling of ishilove TBH, but when it's only targeted at one individual, it sucks away the fun out of it. I understand your jokes and sarcasm just feel like it's targeted at only Ishi.

I was actually on the verge of exiting the thread when he became abusive. That scattered my dada, and of course, the rest is history cheesy

I've moved on ages ago because I have more edifying things to transmit my energies into. Let him go hug a grizzly bear for all I care. I tanda gidigba for cyber punks wink

Correct. The original trilogy, the prequel trilogy, and the sequel trilogy.
Out of 9 Star Wars movies and 2 anthologies, I've seen just a miserly 4. Na wa o. I'm seriously lagging behind.

Ishil.ove and I were friends at the beginning.

However, our beef started when she, her friend and a moderator derailed a thread that I love. There was a time in the religion section that all 3 religious moderators were christian. Ishil.ove is a christian while i am an atheist. Ish.ilove derailed an atheist chat thread and rained abuses on me when I called her out on it. A mod even joined in mocking me. She should have been banned. But of course, christian bias.
I left nairaland in protest, and then came back with an expose of the full story of the derailment of the atheist thread. With the whole story exposed, both ishil.ove and the christian mod were shamed. Ish.ilove lost a lot of christian friends then.

Then, Ishi.love became a mod. Guess what she did as one of her early actions? She derailed one of my threads and banned me for years when I complained about the derailment!

Then ish.ilove got sacked resigned as a mod. I and many other people that she mistreated came back to haunt her. This is why she has many haters and people ready to troll her.

That is the short version of the story. I have links to verify these things i have said.....
From your narration and hers, both stories checks out and I've known where the issue started. It's not worth the bad blood between you two IMO.

See ehn, what I'm about to type, this is the first time ever that I'm typing the issue on here. Back when Ishilove was a supermod she banned my old moniker. . . . UNJUSTLY. I was very pissed but it's nothing compared how mad I was after complaining to another supermod, Obinoscopy_, and he couldn't overturn my ban, maybe coz it's a mod thingy or he wanted to nave Ishi's back. Whichever reason it was, I felt angry.

Coming online to see Ishi still posting freely then made me boil. Months later, I moved on from the ish without a grudge because I'm the type that doesn't hold onto negative vibes or inconsequential things like online bans. When Ishi left the job, a lot of Nairalanders took every opportunity to mock her but I didn't. I wasn't angry anymore. In short, I'd have been mad at myself if I was still holding on to a useless and flimsy grudge because of a Nairaland ban that doesn't add anything meaningful to me.

What I'm saying is, 5 years is an awful long time to let go of your anger towards anybody on Nairaland because of a little issue. If it's something serious like defrauding you over an online transaction, then I'd understand. You don't have to forgive her, but you can choose to forget the issue and stop antagonizing her at every slightest opportunity.

Screenrant did an article on this topic, but unlike the site you visited, they went with only TRUE trilogies.

https://screenrant.com/best-film-movie-trilogies-ever-all-time/

Also the rebooted new Star-Wars is a trilogy and concludes next year. I even said something on this once upon a time...
Yeah, I remember. This means the Star Wars franchise has 3 trilogies and 2 anthologies.

just what i was expecting,no trilogy can beat LOTR grin
LOL. If we take into facts the pop culture, cultural impact, the shows, toys, games, cartoons etc., that Star Wars trilogy spawned, it's arguably one of the greatest movie of all time. But focusing on just the trilogy, LotR comes first. LotR is a masterpiece. Storytelling at its finest just like Titanic. The fact it's produced with better modern equipment, with better all-round quality and CGI, adds to its advantages over Star Wars.

What they did is level the playing field. They took every first 3 movies from well established movie franchises like Mission Impossible, X-Men and Scream, and compare them to true trilogies for the sole purpose of knowing the ones with the best battling average. It doesn't disprove what I said. The writer simply spun things to fit his own narrative. We all do this, when we know what we're doing.
Got it.

MJBOLT:
which trilogy made number 1?
From 10 sites I read, Lord of the Rings topped 7 out of the 10 because of the CONSISTENCY which spread throughout its three parts (plus the whooping amount of Oscars it won), followed closely by Star Wars who lost out to LotR because one of Its trilogy was below par. The Godfather came third in about 5 or 6 out of 10.

Jeromeblack and Beorn have taken care of it.

I also want to add that any showbiz production from art to literature that is more than one is a franchise, since two is a crowd.

A trilogy qualifies as a franchise, since it's more than one. It literally means three.

When a sequence of movies exceeds three, they cease to be a trilogy. However, they can retain their trilogy appellative provided that what comes after (or inbetween) is of a different format, artistically-wise. For instance, Matrix trilogy has an animation sequel (collectively they make up the Matrix franchise), but retains the trilogy appellative because the sequel isn't live-action like the other three.
Koice, I Googled top 10 trilogies of all time, and in all the sites I checked out, both Terminator and Star Wars made the cut even though they're franchises. The sites basically took the first 3 movies from the franchises and called them trilogies.

What I inferred from my the sites is that the first 3 films in any franchise can still retain the trilogy appellative DESPITE if what comes after (or inbetween) is of a different format, artistically-wise or NOT. Right or wrong?

If right, doesn't it prove the emboldened wrong? Just curious.

Trilogy means 3. Terminator is more than 3 parts. Currently 5 in total.

Terminator is a franchise, not a trilogy. It has sequels exceeding more than two. I think they are 5 in total, and will be 6 by next year.
True. I mistakenly even forgot it's not a trilogy but a franchise.

I remember reading somewhere that Cameron is a perfectionist. This is probably why he doesn't stray away from his genre.
You read it right. Yes, he's too much of a perfectionist. That's what Spielberg has over him because he accepts more scripts than him.

the terminator trilogy were much more fun,I enjoyed it more than the matrix trilogy IMO anyway..
The first matrix was good, the rest tho I found it quite unnecessary and a bit dumb tbh...good CGI and all that but nowhere near the first one
I'd have chosen Terminator trilogy over Matrix trilogy but for Terminator 3: The Rise of the Machines. While Judgement Day and Matrix were the powerhouse of both trilogies, Matrix Reloaded and Revolution though not matching the first part, was strong enough give good account of themselves unlike The Rise of the Machines that pale too much in comparison with its predecessors.

Koicereloaded! Always on point with his analysis
Even before I read his answer, I always knew he'd go for Spielberg. Anyone that knows his onions when it comes to Hollywood movies will choose Spielberg ahead of Cameron based on versatility, consistency and proficiency.

Spielberg does it all no matter the genre. Even if Cameron's movies had more Academy awards than Spielberg's movies, I'd still have chosen Spielberg because of his versatility and consistency.

The mods knew what they were doing when they put this on the front page. Anything to bash a woman. He is over 18, not a minor. Their life, their business. Smh
This is the emotional or hypocritical you speaking.

Countless times, we'd read news on Nairaland FP and social media outlets at large, of young guys marrying old foreign women probably because of green card or money, or an older man marrying a teenage girl who's up to 18. In those scenarios, people had bashed the men, but now a woman is on the receiving end, suddenly you want the news swept under the rug because it's your gender? SMH.

It doesn't have to be "deeeeep" boy. The acting, storyline are cool. The "fly" outfits, cool. The brave "scarface" move to the 'connect', cool. The play of loyalty and deceit all cool. Dont expect all movies to have some kind of depth. Is not as wack as alot of overhyped movies out there.
I didn't imply such @emboldened. What I meant was that the storyline of the move wasn't as confusing or complex like some mind-fuck_ movies like Memento, Looper, Cloud Atlas, etc., where you have to re-watch the movies or seek further explanation from sites to explain the storyline of the movie for better understanding of it.

The storyline of Superfly was simple and straightforward with no tangible twists and turns where one had to think deep and long enough to understand any scene. The "outfits" and "storyline" being cool or not wasn't also the point I was pointing out as well.

Superfly. Had to watch it twice to fully understand it.. I give it 8/10.
Are you being serious? The movie wasn't "deep" or "intellectual" enough for one to have re-watch it to understand it. Apart from the surprise move at the end of the movie, it was pretty much a straightforward basic gangster movie.

Avoid "The Darkest minds" at all cost y'all...proper waste bin movie
Immediately I saw the poster of that movie, it reminded me of this useless movie, one of the worst movies of this year, A Wrinkle In Time. I decided to check out the reviews first before downloading and just after 3 reviews, I knew the movie was an avalanche of mediocrity. I told myself I'll never see the movie.

Days later, someone on this thread scored it high in his rating (I think an 8/10) and for a nanosecond, I was considering giving the movie a benefit of doubt when I read further and the person confirmed in his post that the storyline was very weak and it further reinforced my decision not to bother with watching it. Bullet dodged. grin

I've made it a point to avoid RT, MC and IMBd ratings on every movie that I intended to watch. Very true; it swayed my judgment on Black Panther. But I prefer RT and MC ratings because while they may not usually be in tandem with my POV, they more often than not, point me in the right direction when it comes to my choice of movies. I've dodged many bullets cuz of MC and RT ratings.

I don't even bother about IMBd ratings at all.
