How To Get Away With Murder!! This series is bae. Each episode keeps you yearning for more. This season has a lot of shocks, twists, and betrayal in store for us. |
Ishilove:I'm innocent of any form of derailing.
|
KoiceReloaded:You couldn't have said it better. Ever since I followed this thread and read up on top series producers like HBO and Co you talked about, I've learned to ignore some series once I find out the production houses producing them. CW is good at mediocrity, and soon I might add AMC series to my list of production companies I'll ignore. |
KoiceReloaded:Either way, the movie premiering on Sunday will determine if the Catalan studio will lead the box office by season's end, or If the Galactico Cinematic Universe can cause an upset and win the Oscar by next year. ![]() |
KoiceReloaded:Zidane's Real Madrid were only bossed Barca's midfield in two Supercopa matches in 2017/2018 when Valverde was newly appointed and people thought Barca would be in crises ahead of the 2017/2018 season which Barca would win, almost going unbeaten. In those 2 matches, Madrid thrashed and outplayed Barca by 3-1 and 2-0. And thats because Xavi the midfield general was gone and Neymar left for PSG. During the El Classico meeting in the league, Barca dominated them right on their home turf. Since Pep took over, even when Madrid won, Barca dominated them but Madrid always used the counter of Di Maria, Bale, Benzema and CR7 to bypass them. Playing passing game with Barca is a death wish, unless it's nowadays that Barca have faded a great deal. I agree with you though, that Barca now uses a more direct approach starting from MSN era and reaching its zenith during Valverde tenure. But before Valverde, Madrid or any other club for that matter hardly dominated Barca. |
alexistaiwo:You want the match's time and you're telling me to stop derailing? ![]() No more derailing. See ya!! |
AdorableJosh:I've decided to wait till after 2 or 3 seasons before I decide if I'd watch Legacies or not, because one thing I've learned from both TVD and Originals is that the first 3 seasons are usually nice, but subsequent seasons after them are nothing but a pile of regurgitated basic storyline. Julie Plec can't keep a series interesting for long periods. |
KoiceReloaded:Even when CR7 and other Madrid stars in the past were around, Madrid still depended on counter attacks to bypass Barca's brilliant ball-retaining midfield that acts like the first line of defence and chokes opposition players. So, Madrid getting dominated by Barca's midfield won't be shocking neither would Madrid's counter attacking. Problem is, with CR7 gone and Bale struggling to stay fit, Madrid may not have the legs to counter Barca anymore. You're right, this encounter will probably turn into a one-sided borefest in favour of Barca unless Madrid players decide to step up and be counted. |
hpymoment:The first 3 seasons of Originals were good to me, the directors started losing it after season 3 because they ran out of interesting storylines to keep the series going. They're wise enough to discover this and intelligently ended the show soon. You might still enjoy it and even Legacies. Don't use my personal choices to judge, though. |
laydoh:I was an avid TVD and Originals fan even when both show became shitty with uninspiring and vapid story line as the seasons rolled by and the script-writers ran out of good plots to script, but I won't be following Legacies because it'll be end up like its siblings, that's if it doesn't doesn't get canceled after 2 seasons. It's still going to be the same storyline like TVD and Originals, with a heavy touch of romance and love embedded in it. Then, I personally dislike the clueless and highly annoying Hope Mikaelson. I can't stand her rare strain of irritation. If it's the same Hope character in Originals that's she's bringing to the table, the show's gonna be a total borefest. |
KoiceReloaded:LOL. You'll be surprised on how interesting it might be. Moreover, I've been watching El Classico with those two for about 8 years, so much that I can't remember what an El Classico without them felt like. I seriously want to experience an El Classico without the presence of those two before deciding if future ones would be worth my time. |
This week has been nice to me, movie-wise, whether it's TV series or films, I even ended up enjoying Wedding Party 2 more than its predecessor. Strange, I know. Not a single bad movie in all the collection I watched. Now I'm going to round it up with Alpha, Been So Long & Christopher Robin, with all having great reviews. I just hope the 3 movies quiet live up to their encouraging reviews and don't ruin a perfect movie week for me. I'm skeptical about watching Papillion. I don't want to end a great run of good movies with a movie I'm not too keen on seeing. I'll replace it with Brawl In Cell Block 99. This weekend is gonna be lit alongside the football activities across the major 5 leagues in Europe. Not forgetting the almighty El Classico. Cheers to the freaking weekend already. I'm salivating!! ![]() |
KoiceReloaded:Now you've mentioned it, I've observed you're right. I see no reason why he'd be defensive over his ratings. I rated Operation Finale high on this thread, but someone else rated it 2/10. That's his choice, mine is different. I don't need throw a tantrum over it. |
jammer777:Neither are you getting paid for not spotting plot holes. Nobody here gets paid for posting on this thread. Live and let live. If you don't enjoy reading criticisms of movies, then unfollow the thread or look for posts that just rates and recommends movies and move on. People have different tastes and ratings of movies, they mustn't see all movies through your perspective. |
This is why I hate it with passion when mods are called to a thread I'm active on, now I've gotten more than 2 mentions that I can't see the messages or reply them because they are hidden. Stop hiding every goddamn post. This thread was flowing smoothly despite the disagreements. SMH. |
KoiceReloaded:Abeg, get me the link to the movie itself if you can, I just read the review and the rating is 100% on RT. Impressive. I'm interested. |
KoiceReloaded, your post will probably get hidden despite breaking no rule just like mine did, and probably this one too before you get to read it. But let's move on from the whole shenanigan, I've gotten your point. |
calliope:Were you the one that contacted the mods? These are normal chit-chats we have among ourselves, it hasn't degenerated to the level of calling the mods. We talk about other things apart from rating movies. Now my innocuous posts have gotten hidden. I broke no rule whatsoever. |
JeromeBlack:He wasn't trying to hide his moniker so no-one would notice. He'd always made all his monikers known which include J2381, BurningBlade, etc. On his siggy, he wrote "Still 1832" to make sure anyone that knew him before, figures him out. I wasn't trying to expose him. |
I just confirmed. You're same as Joseph1832_. It now makes sense. I wouldn't have engaged you on that issue in the first place If I knew on time. |
BigBros147:Are you taking the piss or what? Did you even cross-check what you penned down? Despite my explanation, you're still asking these questions? You're more confused than I thought. Who was arguing with you that the brain STOPS ALL KINDS OF DEATH? What are you even on about? The scenarios you described HAD NOTHING to do with the brain function, so why would anyone expect the brain to interfere? You're not a kid, so you don't need me to tell you that the brain is not responsible for how people choose to kill themselves. Some people dive in front of a moving train to end their lives, some take poisons, some commit suicide by jumping from a high-rise building, some from entering a lion's den for them to be eaten. How on earth is the brain suppose to interfere in people's free will? Some people are atheist, while some are religious. It's their freewill. In case you're finding it difficult to understand, let me make it as simple as simple can get; the brain can't interfere in those scenarios because it's not its job, but in attempting to drown or kill yourself by not breathing, the brain interferes because lack of oxygen is involved. Should I type it in pidgin or what? When one's throat is slashed or ripped open from a bullet hole (even if the person does it to himself) and he's still momentarily alive, the person will fight to breathe as the brain interferes. He must do it because the brain wants oxygen, he has no choice. The height of confusion is laid bare in your first paragraph. It's so shocking that you missed the point despite having answered correctly. The person who dies by hanging with out struggling for air did so, according to you, because HIS NECK SNAPPED. How the fuck_ do you expect the brain to interfere when the neck had snapped immediately and killed him instantly? Do dead people struggle to breathe? If the neck hadn't snapped, the brain would've interfered. Why is this so hard for you to understand? PS: I want to know, are you the same as Joseph1832? |
BigBros147, let me give you one final example. People that commit suicide by dangling from a rope hanging from an object, if you watch it in movies or see a video recording of the death, you'll realize that DESPITE the fact that they all wanted to kill themselves, immediately the oxygen stopped entering the body, they frantically started kicking their legs, struggling to breathe, and after a while, they give up. That moment of struggling, trying to fight to live is the handwork of the BRAIN doing its work. It's called survival instinct. Since the person wanted to die, why then was he struggling to live at the end? Why didn't he just relax and allow the rope choke him to death? It's because while he wants to die, the brain wants to keep functioning and will force you to try and breathe. In short, it's the main reason the person chose to hang himself, to FORCE the brain not to try and stop him from not breathing. If not, na to just chill in his couch and stop breathing voluntarily if it's that easy. |
BigBros147:I find it highly weird that despite all the explanation, you still haven't grasped what people are trying to explain to you. When you're trying to kill yourself by not breathing, the brain must force you at a point to breathe in order for oxygen to get to it. It's an action which the brain has control of. It's an involuntary action. It's like when you try to stop your eyelids from blinking, you'll notice that after a point you'll start tearing up but at the end of the day, you MUST blink. There's NOTHING YOU can do about it. Same applies in drowning. When you're holding your breathe in water, trying not to swallow water, when the brain detects insufficient oxygen in the brain, it FORCES you to frantically gasp for AIR in order to make up for the lost air, and when that happens, water flows into your lungs and larynx leading to asphyxiation which will eventually lead to your death (drowning). In both cases, the brain forced you to breathe in order to stay alive. The brain did its primary job, but in drowning, with oxygen not being soluble in water, one will die. But in one shooting himself to death, the person was breathing fine and took his life through the bullet, not through denying himself the flow of oxygen to his brain. Do you expect the brain to become titanium and magically appear between the bullet and the head to stop its impact? It's not the brain's job to do that. I don't see why you are not getting the simple theory. It's common sense, honestly. |
TissuePaper:7/10 rating for me. I dropped the review after watching it here but it's been long, I can't review it well unless I watch it again. |
TissuePaper:The movie is interesting. You won't regret it. |
KoiceReloaded:I swear, it wasn't intentional. Maybe that's what Ishi noticed when she thought we're fighting. I'm humble and don't taunt people, online or offline. ![]() |
Seunpaul01:LOL. Yes, inspector. I must've been high on weed when I wrote that. ![]() |
KoiceReloaded:I wasn't taking it serious na. You're trying to worm your way out of the hole and if I hadn't countered you, wouldn't you have successfully convinced us that you can wriggle out of the blunder? If I wasn't gonna counter your points, there wouldn't be a need for me to egg you on to try and convince me that Searching was cyberpunk. At point I wrote, "try another excuse" to show you I didn't buy the reasons you're putting out. If I sounded derisive, it wasn't intentional, I was only trying to show you your reasons were not good enough. |
KoiceReloaded:Keep exposing yourself. You called Searching a sci-fi because of a silent subgenre, but this night you confessed that the louder theme/primary theme is what the film will win award in/be recognized with. That we only needed not to forget the silent subgenres of movies. If you'd applied that theory on Searching and didn't make its main theme as cyberpunk/social science, JeromeBlack wouldn't have called you out. When it came Upgrade argument, you used the main genre to classify it against your opponent, but now it's Searching, you're using silent subgenre to classify it first. Hang in there, Koice I know you're in a sunken place just like in Get Out, but I've got good news for you, help is on the way. We won't let you down. We won't let your body hacker to win. Unlike in Upgrade, the STEM occupying your body right now won't win. We must set you free. ![]()
