zoghys:They shouldn't be arrested. They should all be wiped out! Case closed. |
Aunty, invest in that your brother as your heart has already chosen. Send him to Canada, you can let it be study (or work-study as they call it). Let it also be technical study (Artisanship). Everything will be alright. My younger brother once asked me to support him travel abroad to the UK then but the little money I had then was meant for some other thing and I failed to support him even though I wanted to in my heart. To cut the long story short, my younger brother missed the chance. He remained in Nigeria, struggled for a while but is now an HoD of a nice company in VI and doing well while me on the other hand, lost my funds due to some bad decisions, business has been down since baba werey (President) entered office. However, that same younger brother of mine I failed to support, gave me his car he bought on loan and still took another loan (of money) and gave to me. I feel ashamed of myself today even as I type this, he forgave me and moved on like nothing happened. If you ever have the capacity to take a chance on your brother/sister or any loved one, do not hesitate even if they won't pay back. Do whatever you can afford to do and move on. |
Your Landlord reserves the right to evict you but even at that due process must be followed. He needs to give you time as recommended by tenancy law for you to pay (in your current abode) and also look for another accommodation. Are you a monthly, biannual or annual tenant? Monthly will be 30days notice or less; Biannual is 3months; Annual tenants will be given 6months notice. You will also pay for the period. It will not be free. You have rights to electricity (but approach may matter too). There's nothing wrong in demanding your rights. If he is a troublesome person, you can get a Lawyer to give you more legal support. There is oppression in Nigeria and we are the ones oppressing eachother. Even you the complainant here can turn an oppressor tomorrow when you build your own house. It is in our DNA, it's all over the place but it is wrong! |
lecowas:Tinubu's slave spotted... Your President that is not born-to-rule, how has he turned Nigeria? NAKED! |
There is nothing wrong in accepting them temporarily. But they must have another accommodation as soon as possible. I understand newly married couples need time of their own without interference, this is very important in the early stage of marriage, it will help babies come easily. However, it is not for every little issue you tell people to go out of their marriage. Marriage is not a come-in and go-out as you like business. Let always show more endurance and perseverance. |
donleo92:I heard he bought some transformers at a time. But the powers that made him honourable no longer want him. Politics in Lagos can be dirty. Godfatherism here is very very strong. It is better he steps down and he can continue his life outside politics and try again another time. Don't let this people bring you down by force. They have been very manipulative, rude, wicked and deadly. |
Nigeria of Tinubu. It is only in a Nigeria that someone that has been proven to be a failure will still be telling you he is stubborn and will not step down. We have seen Prime Ministers that were even more efficient step down for the common good in the UK. But here, until the country complete disintegrates before they realise they are a complete failure. Rogues! |
WhiteIverson:It is not pay back anything. Most of them are prostitutes already. What else can they do other than sleep with different men? See the pic of this one that is talking now, once you go know say na hookupian! |
Shnew:This trend go spread to other countries and Nigerians are the main targets. |
SmartPolician:Glo is very OK now. Glo network is very good now, it has really improved. I use it for my daily transactions now. |
If it's about lies then I don't think there's a woman that doesn't tell lies. Most women are natural lairs. They lie with as little as price of a commodity. But my concern is not really the lies if she will not add infidelity to it. If she is truly repented, it's good and you can go ahead, else she may still mess at any time. |
Boladogailese: ![]() He is a shrewd man! He would never buy any football club. Any club he buys will relegate. Let him continue his production businesses, that's what he is good at. Production businesses? Come to think of it, it seems there is money in producing something viable for sale. What production business can I explore? God! |
Use the $2Billion and do give away sir, when Arsenal wins the league and who knows... They can win both EPL and UCL. |
Bendeco02:It is easy to give orders but will it be followed? Since OPEN GRAZING was banned even in Lagos, did they follow the order on both part of the Government and the herders. Open grazing is still in active service. No enforcements, nothing! |
Move in with him but be clear both of you are in it for marriage. My wife today moved in with me then but we were very clear it was for the purpose of marriage. She got pregnant anyway, the normal thing that will happen between a man and woman in a relationship living together. The pregnancy pushed us to quickly get married before people start noticing it, now it's been over 10years and we are still strong together. Though the fire (that's the excitement, sex and all those things) has reduced but love never reduces. That's why in marriage you should build yourselves beyond sexual attractions, the road will be rough and tough but you will always be together and love each other. |
Validated:Na everywhere o... Only those he shares money to are still supporting him. For somebody like me in Lagos, it will be a vengeance voting. I will take my pound of flesh by voting against Tinubu. I will vote for either Obi or Sowore. I don't and won't care what they do. I know his NURTW guys are strong in my area but we go drag this one together. Enough of this madness. |
ratcock:He is taking the Rivers People for fools. They are the ones to tell him if they actually are or not. |
HenryStarlife:There was not much he could do. He didn't find the phone with anyone. It was found on the seat, even though, we all know the man in question is most likely a pick-pocket. He would just claim the phone dropped from his pocket, which is very tenable. |
madridguy:Who is earning 200k that is building a house? This is how you people talk without thinking like Bwala or Reno. |
Nigerians are funny hypocrites. When you read all the comments and see how these guys condemn the act of sleeping with a "married woman" you will think we are in heaven! No be this same Nigeria all of us they? No be some of you posters here dey sleep with person wife knowingly or unknowingly but una go still come here dey claim decency. Yesterday, there was a video of Rep member caught with a married woman by the husband on camera. If this Rep too na Nairalander, na so he go come here dey post and condemn the action but na still some of us they do these things. Because no be me dey sleep with married women or even single women sef. I have never slept with another woman since I got married for over 10years now. |
GOFRONT:That is the result of moral breakdown and gender equality. No more women keeping themselves for marriage again. They go sleeping spree before marriage and expect them to keep to one man after marriage? All these girls with tattoos, nose and multiple earrings, leg chains and crazy wigs on their heads. |
TheGift:I agree with you. It was just a generalized statement. It couldn't have been 100% absolute. It is not to condemn but a wake-up call. |
yarimo:If the video of "continue to scatter them" by your CoS didn't appear online, you would have termed it the usual lies as well. |
TheGift:If your nation is not a disgraced one, tell me what is working in your country? A country without power supply, no security of lives and property, no basic infrastructure, the society is largely dysfunctional, the people are mostly corrupt. If you claim my statement is fallacious, it is not going to be by just the adjective, you need to point out the fallacies. You obviously lack sense of objectivity but would rather go by the easy bailout of generalized labelling of the country. In a country where the predominant trait is negative, will the few exceptional people be singled out for recognition (of which you are not a part of obviously)? |
TheGift:Your reply is a testament to my statement. If it didn't apply to you, you wouldn't have mentioned me. |
Franklyspeakin:They will soon get hold of Tunji Disu that is trying to perform better soon. He will soon be swallowed up. The corruption in the police is same as the corruption everywhere. The Police is always in the news because they deal with civilians directly and they bear arms. It was in this same country that the Nigeria Army kidnapped Justice Crack and still denied he was in their custody until a video of his vehicle surfaced online, then the next day they issued a statement of arrest. Truly Nigeria is a disgraced country and Nigerians living in Nigeria are a disgraced people. All our institutions: Nigeria Army, Navy, Air force, Police, NSCDC, EFCC, NDLEA, DSS, Customs, Immigration etc are all USELESS and riddled with corruption. |
Kaczynski:This is one of the people aiding the destruction of this country. They are the people supporting and defending the Political Embezzlers, encouraging extortions all over the place. These are the people who find it difficult to respect others or respect the rule of law. You start hearing statements like "you loose-guard" and all those nonsense. They have grown to embrace slavery, suffering, poverty, dysfunctional society and a highly corrupt system as a norm and would want to force others to accept same. A Nigerian living abroad came back after several years being away and was metted with disappointments (which we have been forced accept as the standard) and yet, you don't want him to express his displeasure. These are the kinds of people that arrest others and imprison them just for expressing their opinions. |
This is a lovely article! |
I would have encouraged you to accommodate him but when I learnt the person kept moving from one friend's house to another, then I think there's something else to it. When I first got a job in Jos, Plateau State all the way from Lagos some 18years back, it was as a stranger who accommodated me (someone a friend of mine called for help on my behalf). Himself and his wife gave me a room in his apartment and even gave me food. I moved out after 2months. I lost contact with him but my heart still prays for him till date whenever I recall that incident. I wish to still reconnect with him and pay him back... But that's in the hands of God now. I have also accommodated people who needed my help with accommodation no matter how long, because I learnt a lesson that some help or acts of kindness are not repayable. Only God can repay it. |
Once they start to mention "talents", just know they are out to cheat. Same goes for the Westerners that always request for "talents". |
