maclatunji: Hahahahaha- Power resides with the people and the National Assembly is the constitutional representative of the people. They can summon anybody in Nigeria. See how people just post without any valid points raised. Farouk Lawan's case is separate from GEJ and in any case is being handled by the House through its institutional mechanisms. Already, the man has been suspended, which official in the Executive has GEJ suspended or sacked in view of very detailed allegations and evidence of corruption? If you cannot find any, let me point one out for you, the extra-budgetary spending on oil subsidy. Where did the money come from and how did this government spend it without appropriation by the National Assembly? GEJ has a lot of questions to answer and this is not the Presidential campaign debate that he manipulated to serve his purposes.
He has to answer questions because Nigerians are tired of stories and excuses! go & hug transformer or come& suck my dick! |

rasputinn: You guys should give the police some credit on this.Go back to Obodos explanation and decode that HE WOULD NOT HAVE ESCAPED if not for the police.
Who covered the whole state, who was monitoring the roads and creeks thereby putting the kidnappers under siege, who was monitoring their calls and using it to close in on them that forced them to move from the forest to open town, who made a fake call to the kidnappers that the ransom was ready for which 5 of them left and left obodo with just one of them, from whom he was able to escape later. Before his escape, who arrested three of the kidnappers that had gone to pick the ransom money,I can go on and on and on.# I know the NPF could be dissappointing in most cases, but on this occasion, they were VERY instrumental to Obodos escape. Give the devil his due and lets move on thank you very much my dear, i thought i lack understanding! What Mr. Obodo said is not fair at all! He should'v atleast said "i escaped with the help NPF" |

Danka7777: What kind of useless country is this? What is wrong with our leaders? How could there have been no rescue operations even in 30mins? And here we are talking about 3hrs downtime. The crash occurred right in the heart of the city and rescue operation should had arrived within 20mins at most. I just wish at least 100 of those killed were federal executive members, senators/reps and governors, I think only then will these people understand the consequences of an ineffective and corrupt government. I have no doubt that had there been fire and emergency stations located within certain radius of every community in our cities, most of the crash victims would had been rescued alive.
This country needs massive emergency overhaul: building of fire stations in every communities, building of at least 2 world class medical centers in every geopolitical zones in the country. Jonathan do these with yourself in mind just in case you get ill, you can be easily treated in these world class facilities. I know your plan is the fly abroad for treatment like your predecessor right? Foolish and useless leaders. easy man, that's too hash! |

love4ual: i knew that this would happen,....when d'banj featured snoop dog and signed with kanye west.......on this same blog and nigeriafimls.com i predicted that p-square would respond to this.........
p-square are more positioned than any other artist africa has ever know,....they are the biggest and most sophisticated artist in africa......
they may never win the grammy because of their genre of music.....but for the fact that they have twice the fans of any other artist in africa...they will always sell more.......
i have a lot of respect for d'banj but i believe that p-square are more strategic and stronger...
believe me p-square would not sign any deal where it would not benefit them.......
THE ONLY THING THAT MAKES P-SQUARE'S MUSIC AFRICAN IS THAT THE ADD YORUBA,....IGBO,......BROKEN LANGUAGE TO THEIR MUSIC...........OTHER THAN THAT,...THERE IS NO MUCH DIFFERENT BETWEEN P-SQUARE AND OTHER R/B OR HIP HOP STARS IN AMERICA...... you tried anyway, but you lied @ the same time! |

Entertainment › Re: Tiwa Savage WAS A Great Prospect, Until She Joined MAVIN. Backward Step. by bernieamce: 2:07pm On Jun 01, 2012 |
djustice: I've never seen anyone make as obviously self destructive a move as the one made by Tiwa Savage in choosing to join Don Jazzy in his ill-thought out MAVIN records adventure. She was doing quite well, creatively speaking, on her own, and if she had any sense, she would have waited to let the dust settle before choosing who to go with between the obviously more business-savvy D'Banj and the more creative Don Jazzy.
Already an acknowledged song-writing talent, all she needed was to get a good platform to market herself as an act in her own right, INTERNATIONALLY. Of the entire MAVIN crew, she's the one most likely, based solely on her prodigious talent, to break the international market. Don Jazzy obviously doesn't have the balls to play global, and the rushed "Solar Plexus" album demonstrates how appalling he actually can be in the absence of the kind of exacting standards a badly under-rated D'Banj obviously brought to his game.
With D'Banj now having signed Davido, and having access to the excellent facilities of G.O.O.D. Music and Def Jam, it's not too late for Tiwa to cross over. I reckon the smart D'Banj will soon make a play for JJC (Abdul Bello), who's a SUPER TALENTED producer and international player too. If he could pull that off, the sky would be the limit for his Def Jam Africa label. JJC is already a big brand in Africa, having mentored artistes from all over the continent, including North Africa!!
Tiwa, Tiwa, Tiwa omo Savage!!! How many times did I call your name Retrace your steps from those clueless amateurs before they ruin your promising career for you o!! It's not too late. I promise! nmeeeeeh! Sure you didn't smell the massive album. I also know you are one of those people who call music moozik. Come see my producers giving kudo to the Don on solar plexus. |

12 inches!: "My name is" appears to be correct. Because we don't put a coma behind each name. For example, "My name is Akinbade Olusola Esther." But if u were to say "My names are" You should put a coma behind each name as there are more than one name. For example, " My names are " Akinbade,Olusola, and Esther" Nobody does that. So it appears incorrect. My 2cents. you mama didn't raise no fool! |

icansimi: The Senate Committee on Federal Character has slashed prices for new drivers’ licences and vehicle number plates issued by the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, from N6,000 and N15,000 to N4,000 and N8,400 respectively.
The Senator Dahiru Kuta-led committee in its report on the new vehicle number plates and drivers’ licences said the new price regime imposed by the FRSC was exploitative and arbitrary. It directed the Commission to forthwith reverse the prices downward in view of the national outcry.
The committee in the report also directed the Vehicle Inspection Office, VIO, of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja to stop the e-coding of vehicles and collection of N2000 from motorists.
The report further kicked against the overlapping of functions between the Nigeria Police Force, FRSC and VIO, noting that the agencies need to pull their resources together for the safety of lives on Nigerian roads. now i can see somepeople are ready to help the FG good one Big Brothers. |
