Romance / Please Define "Humility", Somebody! by Berylmoi(f): 9:40am On Mar 28, 2015
Hi nairalander.
Please I need some logical reasoning in this issue I'm about to raise here. I don't need no lectures on how to run my life just your fair opinions. Thanks.

So I am seeing this awesome young man who adores me and really wants us to be happy at all times. I do my own bit too and he really appreciates my efforts all the time. I am one person who really takes my time in a relationship before opening up GRADUALLY but with him, it was different. We connected with speed and I opened up like a crazy flower. And No, I didn't hop into bed with him (we are on the 180-days-rule roll *heeheehee*).
In my past relationships, I hardly spoke my mind. I stomached a lot of nonsense and accommodated all forms of excesses. But I had a self talk before meeting the present guy and I believe that was one factor that contributed to the new direction in our relationship. I say things I want to say. Apologize when I have to. Say yes or no when I want to.
At first I was scared that being that brazen might push him away but as he encouraged me to be that way, I relaxed. I let him know the things that piss me off and one of them is hanging up the phone on me. One day after a heated argument (we can argue like we were in a law court), he hung up on me. In anger I sent him a strongly worded text message, warning him sternly to "NEVER EVER HANG UP ON ME EVER AGAIN!" The following day he called me and reprimanded me for that SMS saying that I was not humble. He took his time telling me that humility requires I do not say or send such words to my man. I apologized and we made up but I made it clear to him that I did not share that opinion with him. So in that context, can someone define humility for me? Does it mean I shouldn't express my anger and disappointment at my man? Does it mean I should keep accommodating all excesses and shut up and never speak up even when am dying inside?

Note: I give him the maximum respect he deserves that sometimes he could get almost pissed at the way I treat him cos he wants me to place him on the same pedestal with every regular guy which I don't want to do every time. Come on, he is special nah...
Celebrities / Re: "I Am Not Bleaching, I Just Use Cocoa Butter" - Yvonne Nelson Cries Out by Berylmoi(f): 1:28pm On Jan 10, 2014
adeola_drg: R u kidding? Cocoa butter cream sells in every big supermarket. My mum and brothers use it and I've not seen any colour change. Just confess already, it won't kill.
I think it depends on the skin type. My sister and I use cocoa butter cream. Her dark skin has become more shiny and smoother while I get lighter and lighter everyday. We don't mix anything into it. I think the cocoa butter cream brings out your real colour.

Science/Technology / Re: 10 Credible Mermaid Sightings? by Berylmoi(f): 9:16am On Nov 13, 2013
My childhood friend saw one in Asaba in the part of River Niger which passed through the town. He had gone to the river one mid afternoon during a big draught in search of his siblings. Me and my siblings even dey inside the river dat day sef. But the thing is that the river had different sections which we even named from 'A' to 'Z'. People normally swim in the 'X' and 'Y' parts. 'A' was the least visited because it was a little too far from the other sections. He had gone to 'A', and according to his account, he saw a fair woman sitting on the bank of the river. She had her back to him and her feet were in the water. He came close enough to call out his elder sister's name, assuming it was her and the woman turned to look at him and disappeared into the water but not after he had seen her fish tail. We believed his story because he fell seriously ill after the incident and only talked about it after he had fully recovered. So, I think they are real and can even be found in Nigeria.
Romance / Re: What Outfit Do You Love Most On A Guy? by Berylmoi(f): 6:22pm On Nov 10, 2013
Tone tonz: surely,a guy will.it's tomboyish though but edward loved bella even with it;-)
It is not totally 'tomboyish'. The shirts are clearly feminine and so are the trousers, just the rolled up sleeves make the difference, and of course the curves are obvious in the right places. No man-ish air at all. Get the picture?

Tone tonz: Just thought of this..i love guys in jeans and shirt with rolledup sleeves*sighs dreamily*just love the casual look.
Oh, that is how I dress (all feminine, of course). So, which guy likes ladies who dress like that?

Jids: in most cases, they don't want to see it but try to see the level of your confidentiality.

The best way to answer the question goes this was.

I don't have any problems revealing this but as part of every company computer policy, while PASSWORDS is personal and part of company security and confidentiality policies, it should not be revealed to any unauthorized person. I'm such an individual full of respect to the company policies and adhere strictly to company confidentiality procedure.
but the HR didn't ask for your password, he said you should LOG IN by typing it YOURSELF.

Religion / Re: Wearing Jewelries Takes One To Hell? by Berylmoi(f): 10:00am On Aug 19, 2013
Na wa oo. All these arguement just for TRIVIAL issues. We forget the most important things and kill ourselves over useless issues. Well, I know the Bible says that "whatever you believe about these things, let it be between you and God". Why impose your beliefs and doctrines on others when it should be between you and your God? All these doctrines can NEVER take one to heaven but your relationship with God. All these have shown how legalistic and religious we are, the direct opposite of TRUE christianity. If wearing earrings will take one to hell then we might as well give up our clothes and other things we adorn our bodies with. But of what gain is it when you give up your gold but hate your brother because he does not agree with your views? Are you not already a murderer? Is that not a sin boldly stated in the bible? Be wise people and do not get caught in the trap of the evil one. I rest my case.
Religion / Re: Is It Possible To Live Without Sin? by Berylmoi(f): 1:05pm On Aug 18, 2013
NO! It is NOT POSSIBLE AT ALLLLLL!! Forget the zeal and determination thingy, it is not possible because if it is, then those men of GOD, we heard of, who fell into sin, would not have fallen. We are only JUSTIFIED by GRACE. Nothing more; nothing less.
