Nothing Happens until you make it happen |
234GT: All man for himself.when you are old and retired ,never complain that your children dont have jobs because you failed to set up your own business that will absorb them, because there will be over 1 million graduates looking for one job by then |
You’ve heard the phrase, “Little hinges swing big doors.” Likewise, small keys open the largest of doors. Those little hinges and small keys are the decisions you make! Solomon, writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, pointed to one of those keys that can open up your life to great things: Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. (Proverbs 4:5- ![]() What is wisdom? Differences Wisdom gives the ability to see the difference in people, between wrong and right. Wisdom provides the ability to discern differences quickly. It helps you see what others cannot see. And above all, wisdom gives you the ability to make good decisions! But where do you get wisdom? You get it from God. Specifically, Isaiah 11 points to the Spirit of knowledge, and Ephesians 1:17 tells of the Spirit of wisdom. You get wisdom and knowledge from God, and He wants to pour wisdom out on you: “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him” (James 1:5). So if wisdom is given liberally from God, and wisdom helps you make good decisions, what are those decisions that will decide your future? I sat down with my friend Mike Murdock to tape a program for This Is Your Day. He offered seven critical decisions that can change everything for you, and I want to share them with you. Decision #1: Build Your Faith How do you build your faith? Mike sometimes shocks people with statements like this: “God doesn’t react to your pain. He doesn’t react to your tears. He doesn’t even respond to your cancer or a heart attack. God doesn’t react to any problem in your life. He only reacts to your faith, and it is impossible to attract divine favor without using your faith!” We are told, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Hebrews 11:6). How do you build that kind of faith? Faith grows by what you hear. Faith expands when you hear God talk. This is why the Word of God is so important in your life. Listen to the Bible on your CD player or iPod. Read His Word aloud. His Words contain strength: “And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me” (Daniel 10:19). Make a decision to build your faith by hearing God’s Word. As your faith grows, you create your future! Decision #2: Excel in Your Present Assignment Everything and everyone was created to solve problems. That is your assignment. One way you know what your assignment is: through what you love to do. What do you love to think about, to hear about, to be around? Your assignment may change, but it is critical to do whatever you were created to do at this moment. Abraham picked up and moved his entire clan to a foreign land simply because God told him to do so. Joseph was eventually assigned to work for the pharaoh in order for his people to be saved from the famine. Moses was assigned to help deliver the children of Israel out of Egypt. Aaron was assigned to help his brother Moses. Our Lord Jesus accepted the ultimate assignment: Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:5-11) Excel in your present assignment, whatever it is. And if you are corrected, as everyone is, invite that correction as a means of being a better problem-solver in your present assignment, for correction is one of the seeds of excellence. If you want to create a successful future, excel in your present assignment, whatever it is! Decision #3: Honor the Scriptural Chain of Authority The divine purpose of authority is provision, protection, and promotion. Blessing doesn’t flow up—it flows down. It goes from Abraham to Isaac to Jacob. This is why the Bible makes it very clear that we are to honor those in authority over us. The Ten Commandments bear that out. In fact, the fifth commandment is a promise of reward here on this earth if you will honor your parents. One of the best decisions you will ever make comes down to who you choose to honor. It was the path to the throne for some of the people of the Bible that I have already mentioned. What better example than Joseph? Honor was the road from prison to the Pharaoh’s palace. Mike Murdock said, “I consider that one of the greatest life-changing revelations in my life came when I realized that when God wants to bless me, He often uses a person to give me instructions and grant me favor. Blessing comes through the chain of authority. There was only one person capable of promoting Joseph, and that was Pharaoh.” Joseph didn’t rebel against Pharaoh. He acknowledged him as the leader of the country in which he was imprisoned. As a result, God used the young man mightily. Honor, by the way, is more than just your attitude. It is more than just the way you posture yourself around others. It involves action. You honor God with your life, not just words. If you want to honor Him, you obey. You tithe. You honor those in authority over you. Then God gives favor because of your ongoing decision to honor the scriptural chain of authority. Decision #4: Pursue an Uncommon Mentor Blessing flows upon you when you make the choice to not only acknowledge and honor authority in your life, but also to seek out the people who can help you grow in wisdom. Is there a shortcut to success? Yes! It is called mentoring. Mentorship is the impartation of knowledge, information, and favor. It means learning through the experience of another person without being paid or waiting. That’s why Elisha accepted the mentorship of Elijah, even though it meant years of washing the prophet’s hands and serving him before moving into the double portion. In the New Testament, Timothy pursued Paul as his mentor. Reach for someone who can train and teach you, especially in the midst of battle. Your success in the future will be dependent upon the voice in your life that you choose to pursue and honor! Decision #5: Look for Divine Rewards in Every Battle “Friends create your comfort,” Mike says, “but your enemies decide your rewards. You see, battle is the seed for territory, and without an enemy, you don’t have a future.” David couldn’t get to the throne until there was a Goliath. And he wouldn’t have been successful in overcoming Goliath if there hadn’t been a bear and a lion preceding the giant. There are divine rewards in every battle! If you are facing your own Goliath, realize that he is a signpost that you are closer to your throne than you have ever been. Don’t run from an enemy. Don’t panic. There is a divine reward in the adversary as you choose to follow God into that battle! Decision #6: Listen to God’s Voice People often say, “God just never speaks to me.” I’ve found that God speaks often. In fact, the Bible makes it clear He rules His universe through conversation. He made us for conversation: “Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire” (Deuteronomy 4:36). Instructions are the seeds for success! In fact, the difference between success and failure is instructions. And the difference in seasons is an instruction. The difference in where you are and where you want to be is listening to God’s voice. Decision #7: Sow Seed with Expectation of a Specific Harvest On This Is Your Day, Mike Murdock told this story: “One time when I was in my thirties, I was driving around Tulsa with Dr. Oral Roberts. I asked him, ‘What is the greatest secret of your ministry?’ He said, ‘Sowing seeds into God’s work for a divine result, for a specific response.’ It changed my world when he explained to me that everything runs through the seed.” That knowledge (and your decision to sow seed with an expectation of a specific harvest) can change your life, too! Your Decisions Will Impact the Quality of Your Life In Scripture, God says 331 times, “If you do this, this is what will happen!” The Bible is a book about decisions. God rewards right decisions! God expects us to honor our wonderful Lord by making the right kinds of decisions. Do you need a miracle in your life? Do you want something better for yourself and your family? Are you ready for an abundance of favor? Your Specific Harvest Make a decision to plant your seed toward a specific harvest. On This Is Your Day, Mike Murdock was specifically led to ask for 300 viewers to sow a $1,000 seed now or during the next 60 to 90 days. I know God will pour out a special blessing upon you if you can make that kind of a commitment. I ask that you prayerfully consider giving whatever God puts on your heart. Follow His leading, and I am confident that your giving will change your circumstances! As you email, write, or call, plant that seed in faith, knowing what God promises: “Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days. Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth” (Ecclesiastes 11:1-2). As you decide to sow seed, you guarantee that God’s blessings will come on your life, both today and tomorrow! As you invest in the kingdom of God, the Word of God declares that He will watch over your needs, and surely He will never fail you. Thank you, again, for all you are doing for His kingdom! For the glorious cause of our precious Lord Jesus Christ, |

Graduates are looking for Jobs while Illiterates are Billionaires and employing the graduates to pay them peanuts You may abuse me or say what ever you like, but i have discovered that Young Nigerians especially the graduates think their lives and livelihood revolves around their certificates especially those with second class upper. Well if what you studied is a ticket to a better and successful life, then Bill Gates,Coscharis,Chachangi,Gabriel Igbinedion,Ekene Dilichukwu, Mark Zuckerberg of facebook and Michael Dell of Dell Computers will have been very poor or miserable. Instead of A nigerian young graduate to look for a small business to start with at least N50K, he/she prefers to buy Samsung galaxy s4,Iphone5,Ipad10,BB Q10 ,BB Z10 all at the same time just to show off that he or she has arrived. These days the internet has even made it easier to start a biz with as low as N20k which a lot of these graduates using expensive phones can afford, Alibaba.com ,fiverr.com, amazon.com and a lot of other good websites has made it easier for us to start mini import businesses and online advertsising businesses, all of us must not be linda ikeji or bellanaija, For those aspiring to work in the banks or are already working in the banks...there is no security there, SALARY WILL ALWAYS BE SLAVERY NO MATTER YOUR TAKE HOME OR YOUR POSITION, the current MD of shell cannot ask his child to succeed him as MD ,but Mike Adenuga's children are already Directors in GLO and people older than their father are reporting to them. When i was growing up, there was this saying that EDUCATION was the best legacy a father can live for his children, but unfortunately, your father needs to absorb you into his private business these days in addition to the education he has given you. SO instead of foolishly buying expensive phones and remain unemployed, use that money to start a small business, Becuase YOU PLAN WELL TO GROW BIG, YOU DO NOT GROW BIG TO PLAN WELL. GTB,Zenith Bank, facebook,Microsoft, Dell computers all started small in one one room. Dont be too greedy, Success is not overnight but over time and efforts, a salaried job is only a temporary solution, your own businesses that you grow with your youthful zeal, strenght, intelligence and vigours is the real solution. How on earth can your branch manager be giving you a monthly target of N100m deposit and your salary is not over N100K and you have to do immoral things to meet this target even if your pastor see you as a good xtian girl or boy. have a nice time |
They are morons |
live in a city where young girls at the age of 12 have already became serial fornicators and cannot count the number of man they've had sex with. I live in a City where primary school children disvirgin themselves behind toilets on Valentine day. I live in a city where young girls flood the street at night looking for men that would give them N500 to have sex with them. . I live in a city where parents send their daughters out overseas to prostitute and send dollars down. I live in a City where Government officials pick undergraduates from University car parks with Coastal Buses to wild sexParties. I live in a city where abortion is so common that even a Chemist shore owner can perform abortion with just N2,500. . (Hmm, he must have done lots of abortion for girls for him to know the amount some chemist charge) These are your Daughters, and this should worry you and not Yerima's Private matters. So ask me again why I support early marriage and I will slap the Jinn out of your heaD''. What do you guys have to say about |
uplawal: Making noise is not worth it, my blood sister married age 27 yrs old as a virgin, and is still got another 25 yrs old virgin sister, may God bless her with good husband and children. What about you are you a virgin at 17? speak for yourself |
Before then, take it or leave it. Men have an edge over the women. I mean, men have a little advantage over the women. Although in an IDEAL society, it's not suppose to be. A lady who has slept with 20 guys and more is seen as an idiot or prostitue. Men will run away from such a lady. A man who has slept with 50 women and more is seen as a hero. In fact, ladies will crave for such a sex machine. Take it or leave it. It's the sheer truth. It's happening. A single women with five kids have a very tiny chance of marrying a single man without a child. But a single man with five or more kids have huge opportunities to marry any girl he wants. In fact, with his money, ladies will be running after him. Take it or leave it. It's the stark truth. It's happening. So ladies, need to be a little careful. Ladies are soft and fragile. Your mistakes don't really die with the passing of time. Even on sex, men have an edge over women. A lady can get pregnant and do a back-alley abortion severally and ruin her womb. But do men have that problem? A lady can suffer skin irritation that's ugly and glaring, or suffer eye damage, or fracture, or anything awful and it'll be difficult for her to meet men that'll ask for her number. But men hardly have that as a problem. I remember when I was tender, my mum use to warn me to be very careful how I play with my kid sister. If I ruin her appearance with my rough play as a boy, she'll suffer it a little. You see, our lives are different. Men have an edge over women in some way. I hope you you'all understand me now. |

izahbnu: To be an entrepreneur sounds better than the modern day slavery thing but each side has got its ads and disads. we all know that the ultimate problem of starting up a business is CAPITAL. if you don t have it theres no way you can start. Although you can seek for thats why there are sources, loans and what have you, on the other hand as a worker it depends on where you find your self. those with the highly paid jobs dont have to worry cos at the end of the day they are comfortable and the stress is worth it and it does not stop them from also establishing with their savings in other words been on both sides wich is the ultimate but low pay earners will find it somewhat difficult and tend to take a longer time to achieve this. so an employment is worth keeping. My friend in this modern day of the internet, you do not need huge capital to start off any business, as a matter of fact the money a lot of our jobless and unemployed youths use in buying black berry phones is more than enough to start a business and grow it big. There are genuine and time tested internet businesses that one can start with as low as $2 and use your so called facebook to market it for outstanding and instant results, but the youths will only use the internet for chatting, pornography and checking football scores. Now Banners broker is only $25-$1000 to start and you will earn your 100% interest in 3-7 weeks yet, people wont go for such business ..see the nairaland link below for HOW BANNERS BROKER WORKS https://www.nairaland.com/920827/hurray-poverty-prosperity-only-25#11378160 |
BUSINESS & LIFE MISTAKES TO AVOID (3) SEE my previous posts at https://www.nairaland.com/832707/salary-slavery-series-business-life TALK IS CHEAP! Rather than going about mouthing what you would do, keep your mouth shut and get the job done. Actions speaks louder than words they say. Read more on this vital tips for life and two other mistakes you must avoid... Mistake 6: Talking too much about your vision rather than sitting down and working at it and allowing it to speak instead. On about four occasions during my visits to him, my first financial mentor had always asked about a particular idea I shared with him. He gave me his opinion on how to implement it. Every time he asked, I would always explain that I was still reflecting on it before actual implementation. During one of my visits to him, he led me straight into his “wisdom room”, and without much talk he handed over to me his giant size Bible and asked that I open to chapter one of the book of James . I did and he asked me to read aloud verses 22-24. I did: “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in mirror. For he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he is”. “Does that speak to you?” my mentor asked, but I did not say anything. He then continued: “My friend, I am not pleased with you at all. You have continued to give excuses for not doing what you know you should do. A great future is not built by explanations and excuses. You are making my role in your life difficult and if this continues then I may have no choice than to terminate the relationship. You know quite well that I am a busy person. I only allowed you into my circle of influence because I was persuaded you have a great assignment on your hands. But how would you feel if I were your student and you gave me an assignment and I kept giving excuses for not getting it done? I don’t know why on earth you would allow a great idea to slip out of your hands by your unwillingness to sit down and get it started. I care less about whatever you say want to do. Just let me see the result. It is immaterial how many ideas you have in your head; it is the one that is out on the street that can bring in breakthrough. You are making a big mistake to think that you have to get your idea 100 per cent right before you start it off. That is the mistake many people make. It is when your idea is out of your head and in the market place that people can help you to refine it. People cannot add value to what they cannot see! You have asked for my opinion and I have given it out lavishly. So what are you waiting for? If you don’t agree with my point of view say it and let us look at it again. But there is one thing I am certain about, I won’t entertain any issue from you until I see that you are already acting on the idea we have already discussed.” My mentor stopped talking and waited for my response but I did not say anything. I just thanked him and promised to make amends. There is a whole lot of sense in his piece of advice which I believe you should also consider. Mistake 7: Failing to make use of your mentors and circle of advisers. After a one week coaching session I had with my coach, I requested to have a session with him. We held the meeting in his office which also serves as his study. The one week coaching I had with him was an eye opener. What I gained in those five days was more than what I had learnt in the past five years. I just wanted to express my appreciation to him even though I paid for the training. His reply even surprised me: “I want to believe that you are just getting it right. The point you are at right now, was where I was more than fifteen years ago. I had thought that you would see wisdom in everything I share with you. Most of the mistakes you made were avoidable. But thank God, you are now ready to forge ahead.” As we were still talking, he asked me to look through some of the books and manuals on his table. He had just ordered them directly from the authors and he asked me to mark the ones I liked and would want to order. I put aside five of the materials. I had never seen them in any bookshop before. My coach continued: “I believe that most of the things you would ever need in your line of business are all yours if only you would let me just know them. Has it ever occurred to you that by virtue of the fact that you have access to me, you also have access to my circle of mentors and advisers? Think about that!” We ended our discussion shortly after that. That meeting forced me to make some drastic adjustments in certain areas and I believe you would also do well to find a way to get the best from your mentors and your own circle of advisers. Mistake 8: Filling up your business with friends and those you really don’t need: In one of my discussions with my financial mentor, I asked him a question: “What would you do differently if you were to start your business all over again?” One of the tips he gave was that he would not employ friends and family members into his business at the initial stage. His words: “One of the greatest mistakes I made, which many young, small business owners still make, was to fill up my business with friends and family members. When I started, I employed a couple of friends and family members. Two of the individuals were my classmates in the secondary school and three family members. I got to know the hole I put myself in after a year in the business. Virtually all those people became liabilities. They were just not fit for the jobs they were doing but I could not summon the courage to fire them. When I attempted to fire one of my relatives working with me, she simply reported me to her dad who in turn informed my mum. I was in a dilemma for about two more years before I summoned the courage and fired all of them at once, damming the consequences. One of the rules I had to make was never to bring in people I cannot fire when I have to. That has helped me a great deal. Don’t just employ people because you have to fill a space. You cannot afford that luxury as a small business owner. That should not be construed to mean that you should not employ friends if they are good. But you should articulate the job description for every vacancy in your company and recruit properly to fill in those positions. If your friends and family members fit in, why not? But get them properly recruited and get them to sign all the necessary conditions attached to the employment including the fact that they can be sacked if they no longer measure up to expectation.” Some food for thought? I bet! We shall share more tips next week. Prosperously yours. |
