Engine got no power at all.

Doesn't rev pass 3500 ( even the rev is not sharp)
Only manages to move on flat surface.

Please what is the solution because the electrician that scanned the car is telling me i should get a new brain box as if na so them dey buy BB.

Is it not timing chain issue?

Problem solved. Had a wrong ecu in the car.
America spec ecu (non vtec) in an European spec (vtec engine).

Had to find the car follow come ecu.

Car takes off like spirit now.

This problem don make me buy new engine plus other expenses i can't count. The last straw now is a new brainbox as the last rewire i met with adviced so.

its a simple fix. Get a good rewire and change the firing sensor.

Please Where's the firing sensor located, hope this makes the MAF works at all times because whenever the car loses firing and i come down to pull off the MAF socket, the engine keeps running indicating the MAF is not working but when i restart and pull off the MAF socket the engine goes off. Anticipating your response. Thanks

Scanned and it gives me codes not related Air flow sensor not working few minutes after a fresh start or restart.

Biko i have a serious issue with my 2007 honda civic MAF. The MAF only works when I just start the car and cuts out few minutes after causing my engine not rev pass 3000rpm as this then cause poor acceleration and gear not shifting properly.

I have bought 2 different Hitachi follow come MAF and they act this way. Only works at car start up and car restart whenever it cuts out.

Please what do you think is the problem??

Because not really enjoying the car again as it doesn't take off asap again on a slow down since the engine doesn't have that powerful rev at such situation

I used my mum's Honda CRV to travel to the village this week. I first noticed that it doesn't accelerate off the block as it ought to and secondly, when climbing hills (Benin - Agbor road) I also noticed the speed will just drop to a crawling rate to the fact that even 18 wheelers will be blowing horn for me. But as soon as I climb the hill, boom, it will pick up speed.

Took it to the mechanic, he said its the break callipers. But am wondering how calipers could be responsible for such as it's making any noise at all.
Guys please what could be the cause. Could it be fuel related, like fuel pump or nozzles because I used almost a full tank for a journey that's less than 200km.

Biko i have a serious issue with my 2004 toyota camry. The stalling is out of this world especially when climbing the slightest hill. I dare not even try to overtake except in a slope. My mechanic blame the problem on MAF, he said it is weak. Anytime he cleans it with choke cleaner it will work for just few hours and then return to normal stalling again. Though after cleaning the MAF it only improves the performance but not totally. Aside MAF, what else should i be looking at?

I complained about the gear not shifting properly, he said it is because the vehicle is stalling thats why my gear doesnt change properly, he said the gear is fine, probably to defend the work he did on the gear few months ago, inside of me tells me its a gear problem.

Experiencing same, the culprit is the maf. I have bought new maf, still same as the maf only picks up on a restart. I'm suspecting wiring harness for such behavior. Did you fix yours??

Note: your gear won't shift properly if you aswell because of less power from the engine which ofcourse is running on lean fuel because of the maf

Lol.. Why not go to the market yourself with the old one. This mech are heartless oooo. That's how one told me oil seal is 3500 when in the real sense the oil seal was 5h.

Hello boss, my car just started this issue. Once i hit 110km/hr the car starts shaking, more like the engine shake as the vibration is well felt in the front.

1. I have changed engine mounts so definitely not this

2. I have had different mechs inspect ball joints and tie rods which isn't upto 6 months i changed all and all mech said no issues on that.

3. I have been on Google to look for people with similar experience and they all stated the full front shaft is the problem which me too i'm beginning to suspect because even when i'm coming down a slope without throttling the engine once it hits 110km/hr, the car vibrates. All this has been try with and without Ac on though even my Ac does not put any noticeable load ob my car engine as it's a new engine.
